    Kurzweil has been making pianos for more than 30 years. They care. I use the Kawai mp7se. As attached to rh3 as i am I’m considering doing a trade and paying the difference. I tried the modx 8 and was not a fan. It seemed too confusing. I don’t like GHS on any yahama. As a pianist for my church, this looks long the perfect choice

    So let’s take the super knob from the Montage and add the Fantom drum pads. Nice try Kurzweil.

    • @fmartins777
      @fmartins777 Год назад +6

      Why Kurzweil would add super knob... Kurzweil has VAST that is much powerful than super knob... These pads are for sound category, not drum pads... Nice try :-)

    • @thekurzweil
      @thekurzweil Год назад +2

      Nice, so basically in your mind you add a sparkling big knob and....you have a superknob! This is a wrong and a superficial quote.
      that knob is for navigating through sound categories...
      Beides...generally speaking, the V.A.S.T. archiitecture used buy kurzweil is way more flexible and powerful than the MONTAGE/MODX superknob... but this not the case of SP7, wich uses a new synthesis architecture called A.T.S.T.

    • @angelog.spicolaiii8021
      @angelog.spicolaiii8021 Год назад +2

      No Montage or Fantom can hold a candle tooo any Kurzweil with V.A.S.T. much less sonically or otherwise, knob or noknob¿even the 30 year original K2k's sound is still culpable in comparison. Yamaha, Roland & korg are still catchin' up IMHO, IYAME & TOME UI's notwithstanding dude

      Kurzweil is the ORIG of the acoustic piano sound with the K250, like it or not: it's pretty much a fact¡ & the big Japanese three have been doin' their best tooo catch-up ever since. The Nord's are copying those most basic concepts set forth by the Kurzweil. VA never would have been either without'em no matter what anybody says , I'd be willing tooo bet the developers of the original Lead would be compelled to secretly concur but ofc never admit to it IMHO kid's¡! thanx folks

    Nope. Sorry Kurzweil, but this piano sounds are absolutely not reaching the standard that is out there now. Nord, Yamaha, Korg,... not even close. The samples sound really antiquated, remind me of the 90's (when Yamaha already stepped up their game). I used to love Kurzweil at the time, the K2500 was a beast... but those days are long gone.

    • @pianoguy6584

      Hmm. I do have the same feeling. The piano sounds like the older Casio before the px s1000 and newer series started. Have to say though, the design looks better and more modern previous SP6 . Design and look and features are far ahead of the piano sound

    • @adreanfarrugia7414
      @adreanfarrugia7414 Год назад +8

      What are you basing this opinion on. I’m a professional pianist of 30 years and after trying this instrument I think it’s FAR superior as a PIANO to similarly priced Yamahas and has a far better relationship between keyboard and sounds then Nord (which is grossly over rated) I think Kurzweil comes closer to the real thing than any other digital (except for possibly Roland). These keyboards are top notch for my tastes.

    • @joergalfter
      @joergalfter Год назад +1

      @@adreanfarrugia7414 I base my opinion on also being a professional since 35 years. And I was not talking about feel, repetition, keybed, etc. I was just judging the authenticity of the sound. And my Nord Stage sounds significantly more realistic, so does my Keyscape VI. Taste, it all comes down to taste. And this one is not on my list, sorry.

      Never even would've been any Nord (especially VA) if Kurz hadn't come along first¡ U people need tooo understand that Kurzweil changed the biz, reset everything, set the bar & left'em all scrambling to catch up. Maybe not for the easiest of learning curves but for sound quality they're hard tooo match & there's really no valid argument that can be presented that makes this point any less than a fact even opinionated jargon can't change that point from being true, & in the end that's all that really matters kid's¡! thanx folks.

      @Collen Flarity I think u kinda misunderstood my comment¿ RayK just took all the things you listed, culminated & enhanced them into their highest semblance not tooo mention other developmental techniques that led to things that took years for other manuf's to figure out or have yet tooo. Namely the big3 {i.e..why do u think Yamaha wouldn't let Kurz use 'FM' (bcos they realized their ©+m)wasn't perfect like the guys in Massachusett's¡} Ther'er allota various innovative technical aspects that can be included but I don't care enough or have the time or inclination tooo type an essay here & now¿IF u can't see the correlation between V.A.S.T. & stuff like V.A., FM, modular cofigurement & just about the whole history of modern synthesis, then I suggest you do some cognitive research of your own to get up tooo speed there¿or not, make's no difference tooo me whether ya do or don't¿ Tooo quote the folks (Kurzweil) 'It's the Sound' that matters & they've had that market cornered for awhile now & continue tooo in my book & opinionated jargon or denial doesn't change that point of fact nuff said thanx dude
