Shame you skipped the HUGE rolling shutter issues. Worse than the A7III. 10 fps these days isn't good. The camera is $500 over priced. Other than those obvious omissions nice camera and nice review.
Before you ask....Full Review. Please! I've been waiting for this camera for almost a year and need to know if its worth getting vs the Mark III. Let's do this Brandon!
Love my Sony cameras. Granted this one is way out of my price range for the foreseeable future but I started with an A6000. Loved it aside from the absolutely shite battery life, but clearly having several spare batteries in pockets is only slightly annoying. Last summer upgraded to the A6600 and I love it so much. Paired with a couple of G series lenses it takes beautiful pictures.
I wish I could aford a camera at that price range. That shot with the cat at 10:01 looked amazing. My curent camera dose max 1080p at 24fps not even 30fps (Canon 650D). So its not good. But I'm not an professional photographer/videographer so that camera is not built for me. But it looks amazing!
I do hobby shootings of all sorts of stuff on a canon eos2000d. I've got the kit 18-55mm and the f1,4 50mm stm prime from canon, which work nice but I'd like to have some range. Right now it's pretty hard to get the 75-300mm telephoto and from borrowing around it seems to be pretty loud. Would Canon's 55-250mm stm be something worth considering. I do love the st-motors on my 50mm.
Also, the G Master 27-70 doesn't breathe a lot, I find it to be non-noticeable even on F/2.8. But if you don't have a 2000€+ lens, that's a nice feature
If I was shooting a wedding I’d have two bodies with a 24-70 and a 70-200, definitely not a prime. Primes are nice for controlled shots, but very impractical in dynamic situations.
I was going back and forth between a Nikon Z50 or Sony Alpha 6000 series camera (6400/6600) and ended up getting the Nikon because I liked the ergonomics and controls better. Ultimately, the next camera I upgrade to will probably be a Z6 II for around the $2000 range, but this new Sony Alpha looks awesome if I had a higher budget.

For decades photographers have been reflexively shortening our focal lengths as we focus on things closer...I mean...yeah, this is a nice way to skip a few dozens of hours or practice to get good at it, which is good, but yeah, it still looks like a good backup camera or 2nd body
@@asdfjoe123 Yeah but this is straight up incredible for beginner-ish people who work in related fields (animation in my case) and can save up some money and a lot of time with something like this.
I'm not saying it isn't cool...but it's far from groundbreaking or incredible. Imagine me, unexperienced as an animator, and I discover something everyone in your field has been doing since Steamboat Willie and I subsequently go on a tech-news channel and tell everyone to check this thing out, how it's new and awesome because I lack the experience in your field to appreciate it's just the equivalent of automating a technique photographers have been using since all cameras used single exposure sheets, weighed dozens of pounds, and featured ground breaking fast apertures like f16. Edit, ok fine, not since the birth of photography, just since the 1930's when variable focal length lenses became a thing.
@@asdfjoe123 How do you shorten your focal length on a prime lens to compensate for breathing? For photography indeed not that big an issue... but this is more a feature for filming.
@@FunkyAlphonzo We don't do that using a prime, and if you listen to our guy in the video, you'll hear that this camera doesn't do it either. "It zooms in and zooms out for you in compensation"

I love the camera videos thanks Brandon, keep it up 🙂
Wow that breathing comp is incredible!!! I honestly love that! I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a camera as much as I want this one, like damn it’s 1000$ cheaper than the a7sIII rn and seems to have all of the most important features AND IMPROVEMENTS.
You gotta review the DJI ronin 4d! Would love to see this
Unless outdoors, most wedding ceremonies are in churches or event venues, which commonly have crappy lighting that produces electronic shutter banding in cameras like this (unlike the a9 and a1).
I think the Nikon Z series has built in breathing comp as well. Not sure if it's in the lens, the camera, or both 🤔
Been out of the photography scene for about 4 years now. Was expecting a greater improviement, and oh gawd they still have the small crampy body.
I don’t understand why his Brandon’s videos get so few views… it is brilliant content.
I guess it depends on what your budget is ! For a mere 10K$, you can get a DJI Ronin 4D, which, according to Corridor Crew, is a perfect camera !
