The editing of this video is the real star. It kept me very interested for the whole 38+ minutes. Plus, that last maternity shot was indeed on point by Linus.
I mean just to see what he does you can check his Instagram. He posts some amazing shots there. But the intro to photography and some tips from him would be an amazing video. Maybe even a small series of different photography tutorials or whatever you want to call that.
I've been skipping this video for a couple days because it was so long and I don't particularly care about cameras, but I'm so glad I finally watched it. This was one of most fun videos in a long time! It kinda makes me miss Channel Super Fun.
I dont feel like this was about cinematography or photography alone. Brandon had the best ideas when it came to setting up the shot and how they looked. But Linus was awesome at directing talent and being a leader with his creative ideas! For me it just shows that teamwork makes the dream work!
I have to admit, Brandon is an amazing photographer, the level of skill and creativity is astounding. LTT should have a separate channel which reviews and benchmarks cameras.
It is shocking that Brandon doesn't have a channel doing that, I love when he does his reviews and informative stuff It's really enjoyable to see someone who actually shows skill and knowledge about something
Speaking as a photographer, Linus got a lot of very lucky spontaneous looking shots (which normal people like) while most of Brandon's shots are much better technically and better framed (which editors want).

as a photog hobbyist myself, linus should've had continuous mode on, or at least 3 shot burst. in my experience best way to capture lucky spontaneous shots is sheer volume.
The editing, flow, camera work and script for this episode is fantastic. A noticable step up from an already great format. I used to be a photographer and watching Linus panic during the studio challenge is eerily familar to when I started out. Also just an all round super entertaining video.. Well done!
Just finished watching it. I've started watching this LMG videos 6 months ago and watched most of Linus Tech Tips videos and some fun channel and tech quicky videos but this one for me hit the spot. Everybody was genuinely enjoying this shoot, everything felt sincere, everything seemed spontaneous, everyone was "in the mood" and as a result it was a true comedy. No emotion was overemphasized ... and much, much more but I don't seem to find the right words to express it. An Oscar!
this is the kind of stuff we want linus , this is quality content, i have ZERO intrest in buying a insane camera or a new phone, but this is informative, fun , and teaches you something, also it has the great fun dynamics of LMG , even the "support" staff is a good addition, having someone whos not that much on camera be a judge (Dennis needs to always judge anything linus competes in just to ego-check Linus)
This was why Channel Super Fun was so much fun, it was always the "great fun dynamics of LMG" as you said. When they launch Techlinked i thought it would have the fun feeling like CSF but in the end it wasn't there... We need more videos with Channel Super Fun feel!
This video is absolutely amazing. Even though it's really comedic, it really feels like a TV Show with real challenges and judges and I can see Linus and Brandon really sweating it out. It feels real and fun. More of this content please guys :D
If you went by consistency and total quality, Brandon wins easily. But if you are picking based on a highly curated selection of photos, Linus did have three of the best five photos. So I guess it's just down to what the goal was, which we never really knew until the end -- almost as if it was conveniently set up to be used however the judges saw fit. At least there does exist a rational set of conditions that make Linus the winner, and I can't really complain.
I think that the reason Brandon's photos weren't as emotional is because he just had trouble embracing the goofiness of the challenge whereas Linus is just always goofy so it was easier for him to feel free... Still this was incredible video and I hope we won't have to wait so long till next one.

I think that the reason Brandon's photos weren't as emotional is because he just had trouble embracing the goofiness of the challenge whereas Linus is just always goofy so it was easier for him to feel free... Still this was incredible video and I hope we won't have to wait so long till next one.
