If he’s there, I think Odunze is the best pick. I like Nabers more, but moving Garrett into the slot and allowing Odunze to work on his development as WR3 while also being an undervalued safety net behind Garrett and Mike Will in case of injury would be a great situation. If Garrett goes down, they’d be wasting Rodgers having Mike Will/Lazard/Gipson as their top 3. I also think there are developable OT prospects like Rosengarten, Fisher, or Amegadjie who would have an opportunity to develop the right way if they could bring in Bahktiari and also have Warren show some backup capability. A rookie OT doesn’t need to see the field in that scenario. I don’t see any scenario where a rookie WR doesn’t see the field. Count me out on Bowers. I’m his biggest hater, and I’ll leave it at that.

The best passers have receivers that can catch the ball if it’s over their head or a slightly behind. If Lazard is on the field, they will be in trouble. But NOT BOWERS! This draft has great receivers and we need to get a good one. I’d love to trade down, get Latham, take one of the second tier receivers later in the draft, like a slot guy , maybe malik Washington from Virginia. As far as the line? I think our DBs are comparable to what we had in 2009-2011, if we can sign or draft a talented safety, then this defensive backfield might be the best we’ve ever had.

If you already have a QB for this year, it's too late. BTW, no competent GM is drafting J.C. Latham over Brock Bowers, even if they have an All Pro at TE and need a lineman.
The fact that nobody’s brought this up on any show that I’ve heard blows my mind. The reason you take the elite offensive tackle over the elite receiver is very simple.. at the trade deadline if the New York Jets are really in contention and the team looks like a team that could cause some trouble in the playoffs for everybody, Aaron Rodgers is looking great, but we’re just a little bit short at wide receiver to make a serious run at Super Bowl and see it, Joe Douglas will go out and trade for an Elite wide receiver, and I can guarantee you they’ll be some available because they are every single year. But now the flipside of that if the Jets only had somebody who could block Aaron‘s blindside that left tackle, this is a team that could really do some damage there’s no guarantee you can trade for an elite blindside tackle for Aaron Rodgers. And there’s nobody reading this comment can say that’s not the truth with the straight face. I know there’s that one year there was an elite tackle. You can tell me about the one year out of the last 40 there wasn’t a elite receiver, but in reality receivers easier to find

He’s watched 39 snaps and thinks he knows more that every scout that is evaluating this draft
@@Luke-kv5tpthat's not how film reviews work and you know that. You don't review the entire season. Also who claimed they know more than scouts? Give your opinion without being a woman about it
@@MarkWilliams-l4p I’m the one giving statistics here buddy. You guys are the ones using feelings because you have no stats against Bowers
@@MarkWilliams-l4p “you don’t review the entire season” yeah that’s my fucking point dude. He’s using a tiny sample size to say obviously wrong things
@@MarkWilliams-l4p and by the way real scouts actually watch every snap. That way the won’t say stupid shit like “bad hands”, “contested catches”, etc.
Jets need to add a future player at a position of need, drafting a TE when you dont have a franchise QB and only have 1 future piece on the o-line.
Avoid? Cmon this is getting ridiculous, I feel like the nitpicking with Bowers is insane at this point
Also objectively wrong. like bad at ball tracking and contested catches? Who the fuck were they watching?
Did you guys watch the film review? Or even the cut-up of all of his targets and touches? Seemingly 90% of his success was on stuff where he was schemed wide open. Almost exclusively a move blocker. He’s basically Kyle Juszczyk, who’s a good player, but not 1st round good
@@Mike-ge7pe the film review was 39 snaps and he concluded he’s terrible at contested catches (he’s objectively elite at that). That man has not watched anything more and he also criticized bowers for his back to back 1 hand catches (said he should use 2 hand when it wasn’t even possible)
@@Mike-ge7pe ruclips.net/video/kH1Y7fAxWE0/видео.htmlsi=fkTjp4bjB_mnVQDL
For reference bowers had more snaps in this game where dominated Bama as an 18 year old, then they have watched in his career. This is literally the worst info you can get on bowers
@@Luke-kv5tphe is objectively not lol Ben didn’t even show or bring up his fumbles! Dude never beat press, has no route tree and doesn’t track the ball in the air well! Dudes the most over hyped prospect since Kyle Pitts and this dude is no Pitts!
Before the game starts we are already out coached & that cannot be discounted. We have arguably the worst HC & offensive coaching staff in the league.
Penalties , missed tackles all signs of a lack of discipline & that is directly on the coaching staff .
We're going to have growing pains due to a completely revamped OL who more than likely will sit out the vets during training camp & OL takes time to jell.
I expect a competitive team & a playoff appearance but I see us falling short of a legit threat to get to the SB... too many ????
So a player jumping off sides or missing a tackle is now the coaches fault? What the hell 😂
@@jacrispy1262 Yes, it's called discipline & it's a consistent problem & the team as a whole rather than 1 or 2 players.
Because a Tight End's core competency is catching passes in traffic, and Bowers is bad at it?
He’s also elite at that. This dude just watched 39 snaps. He has a 59% contested catch rate, that’s objectively elite against the best competition possible
For reference Odunze is 53%, Malik is 45%, and Harrison is 43%. And bowers played tougher competition with a much bigger sample
Lmao and conklin doesn’t catch those ?? All of conklins catches last year were literally head topping defenses
I've been saying the same thing. It makes zero sense to draft this guy.
And it makes 110% sense why Jets fans wouldn’t want a legitimate guaranteed stud at TE for the next 10+ years.
@@jetsbaby8205 Sure, but if there's a legitimate guaranteed stud at TE in the draft, he ain't Brock Bowers. I think his contested catching rank in his class is something like #83. For a tight end, that's not just some insignificant detail. His film has some really impressive plays, I'll grant you; he catches a short pass, gets stopped and stood up by a linebacker, and he keeps churning his legs and churning his legs and manages to turn a 2 yard gain into an 8 yard gain. But in the NFL, that linebacker is going to be joined by a second and third defender almost immediately.
I've got a pricking in my thumbs that JD is going to take him, especially as last year the Jets draft board had TE Michael Meyers right behind WMD, so I hope I'm wrong. And if I'm right, I hope he learns that you don't slow down and look for the ball when you know you're the target, and you don't let the ball cross your face while you're looking it in. If he improves his ball handling, his contested catch issue goes away.
@@jessejordache1869 he had 9 contested catch opportunities and he was hurt. Are you not going to mention his 77% contested catch rate after his sophomore year?
I mean the dude was 13/17. That’s pretty fucking good. Plus his career was a 59% contested catch rate which is borderline elite
@@Luke-kv5tp look at all the tightened drafted in the first round in the last 10 years. How has that worked out. We're talking about a bunch of guys that can't miss.
Rodgers, with Adams and a bunch of W3-4s, won MVP 2x.
BUILD THE WALL and he will dissect defenses.
How are the Dolphins not better than the Jets? Rose colored glasses 😮
The Dolphins lost their 3 best pass rushers to FA or Injury
@@MarkWilliams-l4p they will figure that out
what a clown show, dissing the most likely pick is only gonna create harm to him and his development.
The things they said he’s terrible at he’s elite at by every scout, analytic, stat, etc.
Lol what? I love Bowers, but that's preposterous they are giving opinions. If a player busts because of a podcast that 900 people watched, then he likely would have sucked anyway
@@MarkWilliams-l4p true but do you or they have any data to back up the claims they made (bad ball tracking/contested catch)
