- An adventiure to the BWCA! The Boundary Waters Canoe Area is a Canoeists mecca. A Less well known attraction of this Wilderness are the hiking trails. Midwest Backpacker & I set out on the Snowbank Loop. A little rain, some rugged trails and sunsets make for a very good trip.
Thanks for watching! Cheers.

Love it. Party Pace! Could not say it better.
Right?!!
Great video Rob. BTW- always better than Midwest Backpacker!
👎
Ha! Made my day. Thanks!!
Slow and steady. Enjoy the time out of the rat race. Great video.
That’s exactly it. Just getting away. Can I put down big miles? Oh yes. Do I always want to? A big hell no. Haha.
I've been bouncing around hiking channels and saw Minnesota. Never been thought I would check it out. Enjoyed the hike.👍
I appreciate ya stopping by!
Beautiful sunset!
Thanks! Another overnighter soon?
Nice video pal. Thanks for putting up with my slightly obsessive urge to push. 😎🙏
I expect nothing less my friend.
nice
Thankya
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing 👍
Well thanks for watching!
@@robpelton you're welcome 😊 we really enjoy filming our hikes also
Love the hammock bud! Looked like a good time!
Yep. Got enough nights in it to talk about it now!
I love my Superior Gear hammock! Nice piece of gear man!
Seems legit so far!
Great video! Thanks for sharing, what a nice hike! Hi from Washington!
And a “Howdy” back at ya from MN! More hikes to come. Thanks for watching!
Ordered a thermometer 👍🏻
Hey Rob, another great video! Looks like a I just missed you again as I will be doing this loop next weekend...
Well dang!! I’m sure well run into each other soon enough. Thanks Pete!
Nice video, I like your style Rob. We need to hike something one of these days. Happy Trails 👣
Get up here!!
Great video, can’t wait for your review on the Superior Hammock. I ordered one a few weeks back and can’t wait to use it.
I have a few night in it. I’m just about ready to chat about it.
Awesome video! I was unable to hike the snowbank loop this year. Hopefully I will this spring!
Get on it!
Just did this one in June, man, and it was an amazing trail experience. Loved this place! I added the Disappointment loop and stayed at some incredible campsites. Probably my fav trail to hike especially now that the SHT is a literal highway of people anymore. Great vid!
The SHT really is like Times Square these days. I’ll be exploring more in the BWCA for sure. Thanks for watching!
Partypace....that's been my moto since PLP put that out.
Yeah man!!
Gear check: what are those front water bottle holders? FINALLY shoulder / vest holders!
(Rant: *all* ultrarunning packs have awesome front pockets, yet few backpacks do. Weird!)
I know right!! This particular pack has then built in. I try to find these on all my packs now.
18:25 absolutely spectacular.
Great video. Xena and I are going out to hike entire Kabeyun Trail again at Sleeping Giant next weekend. Haven't done the whole thing since doing it with you guys. Can't wait.
Did an overnighter out there at Tee Harbor last weekend. Was going to camp in an area I've never been to before but someone booked it for that night. Had to change plans.
Take it easy bud
Such an amazing resource you have up there. We’ll be back…eventually. Ha. Thanks Beckett!
Great video Rob! What happened to the impromptu dance parties on the trail? 😁💃🏻
Moderation is best. Haha.
In the summer you are rolling the dice not taking the first campsite you find. I got to go canoeing there in June. We would start looking for a campsite at 4pm.
I know right? We’re nuts though…
Rob, another video that makes me glad my daughter is moving near Minneapolis so I will visit MN. Now, some information, please. Is your new Ridge Runner the color Warbonnet calls deep red? Their photos are poor quality showing the colors. Thsnks.
Yep. Deep red in the dream-tex.
Just watched both of y’all’s videos on this trail. Like you, I prefer the slow and steady pace. For me it isn’t about the time or effort, it’s about the journey and sights along the way. Many times here in Ohio I will maybe only make it in six or seven miles and I will set up and explore and relax. I was referred to this loop from another hiker here on RUclips because this September I am coming up again and wanted to split my time between canoeing and hiking. Does this route lend itself to that?
I enjoy both. Well, when I’m prepared for it. Haha. You can certainly paddle near this trail. Snowbank, Parent & Disappointment lakes are right there. Goodluck & thanks for watching!
Of course u get lost following Almost lol
Ugh…just add it to the list…
