Sacré bleu! Wah lau eh, "clean bug board", can buy 4D liao 😂 Honestly, the clean bug board on a Friday was the most shocking thing to me. Bugs have a tendency to surface on Friday 4.45pm, or on weekends.
@@NewtoSingapore Funny, in my previous work, I always adopted the attitude of "treat me like an idiot" and walk me through this slowly. Bingo, bug, bug, bug, bug, nonsense user flow, bug, bug... I know that developers in Taiwan place a packet of green 乖乖 "guai guai" (well-behaved) chips on their PCs before deployments like a good luck charm. Apparently, it works 😊 Wahoo, Crowdstrike.. pushing code to production on Friday.. magic 🎆 I guess some "intern"/ "contract employee"/ "consultant" will be "dismissed".
@faryalalam7730 There are courses which you can use your SkillsFuture credits if you want to break into tech. You might not necessarily go into software engineering, but there are other roles available too, which rely on people, communication and organizational skills. There are also sales related roles too. On a side note, there are websites like Glassdoor if you want to know the range of salaries for a position and company reviews. In the future, if I may suggest, you can ask about compensation packages in a private message. I think Amandine @NewtoSingapore was pretty nice and open, but asking publicly about compensation is often tricky.
@@RyanTeo oops sorry. Don't get me wrong, but I really like Amandine. I watch her vlogs. They are interesting, informative and she presents herself nicely.

Also, do you get paid for overtime work. I do. Btw, new office is modern and nice.
No, I don’t get paid overtime - I don’t think it’s so common in Singapore to get paid overtime 🤔 You are a lucky one!
@@NewtoSingapore I live in Australia.
@@faryalalam7730 I see! Do you have labor laws that enforce paid overtime?
@@NewtoSingapore I think so.
Heya! Are you a software engineer?
Yes I am! Are you in IT too?
No bugs at all? Are you a good software engineer? 😂
Too good hahaha 🤞

If don't mind me asking, how much do you earn as software engineer in Singapore. I work part-time in retail, my salary is $2,500.
I earn closer to $10k (not there yet) - to give you an idea, my starting salary was $4,200 and now I have 4 years experience
@@NewtoSingapore Congratulations. Massive increase in salary over the 4 year period

Can you please help me to write the codes using AI to win the lottery next week? We will be rich and you can fire your boss.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
