I've owned a couple of 311B Case farm tractors and older V A C case's also . What I like about the 1959 and newer is they all have live power and are as modern as present day tractors . My Dad bought a new 1960 530 Case and it was like yours , it had triple range , giving it 12 forward gears and 3 reverses . Great ground travel for any job . My wife's older brother had a 300 Case tractor with triple range and was clocked at 38 M P H on the highway . When your 311B Case was new it steered like it had power steering , Case tractors from 1959 onward had a larger than usual steering wheel and a gear ratio that gave you the ability to use a spinner on the steering wheel which you could drive anywhere with one hand . This also prevented them from breaking your arm if you hit something solid with the front wheels . It would not spin the steering wheel . Dad's 530 Case could not be choked out in 2nd gear low range or third gear low range . Dad's 530 came with over sized tires on the back , which were 14.9 x 28 and also dad bought oversized plows and disk . 3---14 inch bottom plows and 7 ft disk . The horse power and hydraulics were splendid . The case 4 cyl. motor had an abundance of power and when dad picked up the 7 ft disk , the front end would not stay on the ground and had to be guided with the brakes . The Case tractors in those years had to be one of the best farm tractors in the world . -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ernest E. Johnson

I have started to build a decent metal shop with a lathe, a 72 inch metal Brake, and an assortment of engine drive and plug in welders. I am restoring a Ford Ranger XLT with a 6cyl. and 4wd. I already mounted a flat bed, crane, Miller Roughneck 2e welder, drillpress and vise to the back. I have decided to do mobile welding and restore vintage Porsches. If it is Handy they should bring some sort of trimmer.
Sometimes they have to walk quite a distance through heavy brush to get to the tractor and they already carried a whole bunch of tools.
But then again, for the same reason, they should cut a road to get to the tractor. 😃

Sadly penetrating oil does damage rubber. I use gas because it evaporates fast and is slicker . Also it damages rubber but it also fuses the rubber to metal making a extreme seal .
If you have problems braking tire beads lay them flat pour a little gas around the bead wait a few minutes and the bead will brake easy

Our family bought 2 1/2 acers in 1973. After paying a neighbor a couple of times to plow. My Dad on his delivery route found a 1936 case tractor. large drag disc, scrapper, and spring tooth. It broke down and he gave up on it. He wanted to work around the yard. He bought a 8hp 4 speed Montgomery Ward rotor tiller. While assembled it, I went to play with the tractor. I was in the 7th grade and took electric lab. I had rebuilt the edger. I rebuilt the carburetor, cleaned the plugs, cleaned the magnetos, cleaned the fuel filter, and changed oil. The next trouble was testing it. It had crank to start it. :I was not aloud to start it. I beg my Dad to try it, but he did not want too. .Tractor way out in the back. I just begged him more and this time he said yes. It started in three cranks and ran well. He got on the tractor and started plowing. Get more done plowing, than with a tiller. He plowed the whole 1/2 acre front lawn under. This surprised my my Mom when she got home. She was like wow. It was so satisfying I got it to run. Should mention it had no muffler and was loud. My Mom would say there is fire out the side.

The water pump....I just don't like replacing parts that aren't broken any more because so much of the aftermarket is garbage these days

I hear ya. That’s why I kept the old one….it’s still rebuildable with the proper tooling🙂

Use KolorKut water detecting paste, its used on dipsticks to find how much water migh lurk in depths.
A bit would work on a oil drippy stick.

Ohhh I will look into that. That would prove very useful here 👍🏼

      @@SwedeMachine
      Amazon has it.
A squeeze tube wil last a long time.
Its a gold mustard color paste you swipe a thin bit a couple inches on tip a drippy stick.
If paste comes in contact with water it changes color to a burgendy color.
Be sure to wipe off after.
I once used some ridged 1/2 copper as a dip stick.
The kolor kut removed the copper tarnish!
So dont wipe it on your shirt tail or coverall sleeve.

Next time you do one like this you need to bring a weed whacker and mow down the grass and weeds before you start work. It will make it much easier.

I've never noticed Case tractors to be attractive in any way whatsoever, especially with that eagles standing on the world, reminds me of Hitler wanting to conquer the world!!!
I've never liked that symbol and I never realized why until just now!

RUclips just recommended this video to me and I’m definitely subscribing. Great job rescuing an abandoned relic. I said to myself you need this humor in your life. You sir are really funny and entertaining. Not sure why your subscriber count is not in the 200-300K subscribers realm but your comment about two views made me LOL!

Very few hydraulics on tractors work at idle under load. that bucket is grown into grass. You need to bring the rpm up
