As a divorced parent, I totally support Jo Yoon Hee in the way she is not turning her daughter against her father, but rather encouraging her to have a good relationship with both parents. This is a parent loves her child very much and that has her child's well being at heart and putting her feelings & emotions first, kudos to you. It's so unfortunate and detrimental to children's mental and emotional wellbeing when divorcing parents use their kids as a weapon against the other person, it's pure bloody selfishness as far as I'm concerned. If you love your child don't hurt them by doing this, divorce is painful enough for children without causing ill feelings toward your ex-spouse.
Not bashing her and him but that's called karma their marriage didn't last that long cause their relationship started with the word "cheater's".

My respect for Lee Dong Gun dropped immensely after the divorce. Everyone is always blaming the woman but what about the man? This woman did everything for the marriage and is taking care of their daughter even now. Also, she did not break up another relationship. She said her husband already broke up with his ex when they got together. She wouldn’t get together with him otherwise. She is known for having a very precise and high moral personality in the industry. Everyone around them knew that too.. the breakup just wasn’t publicized fast to the public. Actually, LDG already broke up with Jiyeon early December but the media sniffed about it only by February of the next year. Then LDG and Jo Yoon Hee became a couple sometime in March and got pregnant around May.

You may be tied for life with a person it turns out you don’t like, or may lose your kid to a person you don’t like. I do not think they meant to be married. There are not a lot of blended families so if there is another marriage by the parent they may not be able to take the child into the relationship. Sometimes the child will be adopted by step dad. It’s weird they just made a law letting school discuss things with step parents. I don’t think they discuss with both bio parents just who has custody. It’s like the US in 1950. There is a stigma, used to be a problem for hiring or school placement to have divorced parents. So people lived as if parents still married but one away for work. I’ve watched some dramas it seems common for parents to get divorced and keep it from the kids until they old enough to keep it secret.

True.. there's no unwritten rule that only similar personalities can be successful in mrg....there are plenty of *happy* long lasting mrges not because the partners have similar personalities, but because they were committed and worked on the relationship.
Who is to say what really happened? Dont judge based on little info from social media and based on pre conception of a person you only see on screen. How each person value anything (even anniversaries) is their own and shouldn't be judged and criticized. Society has to get updated as to the meaning of a single parent. What do you call a parent with a child living with them, but child is supported by both? What about a parent with a child living with them and only supported by them alone? Some divorced or separated people live single life and co-parent their kid/s. Some live a single life as a single parent.

Rediculous reason to divorce when you have a young child. Marriage isn't about remembering anniversary or love as a gift. It's about a skill that you need to learn, adjust and master in all diffrent situations you have to go thorough as a couple. If this was the honest reason, I don't think she has understood why the vows are written and why the law about marriage is defined to include. If it was a dishonest or toned down reason it isn't ideal to say stupid reasons to have a divorce- divorce is and should be more respected as a last resort when all is failed.
The reason wasn't just the anniversary. That may have been one of the accidents that led to it. From what I heard he seems to get in a lot of relationships and then leave. For the people saying he cheated on his girlfriend, you can’t cheat on a person you are not in a relationship with. He has never cheated on anyone. I don’t think his personality is suited for marriage. By his own admission, he falls in and out of love quickly. Plus, he drinks heavily. That could be why he forgot their anniversary.
I watched several shows this ex-wife was on while they were still married and I didn’t think the marriage would last. She made herself seem extremely controlling and suffocating. By her own admission, she was very jealous and had to know who he was talking to at all times, went through his phone and was mean to him. She said he didn’t give her any reason to distrust him but that’s just how she is. I couldn’t live with her. Even now, the daughter isn’t allowed to speak to the dad on the phone. She can message him using the mother’s phone and when dad replies, mom reads the messages and allows the daughter to respond. He only gets to see her on Sundays.

Had there been an overlap, the cast and crew of The Gentleman of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop and the entertainment industry wouldn't have supported the couple. Don*t adult women know how to have children and how to get pregnant, or do they want to get married so much that any means are good? So, only a man has to think about contraception and be careful? I am well aware of such former couples with a woman who is supposed to* be a victim*, who successfully then, for the rest of her life, benefits from her ex-husband and child*s grandparents. I am not here making any statements about both of these actors, because I know nothing, I only know what was published in the press. But it can definitely be said that couple - is a two person relationship and therefore - the responsibility must be shared.

Birth contraceptions are largely put on females' responsibility. Besides, I really think that contraceptives should be impose more on men. Setting aside of diseases, a woman can sleep to multiple men and she can only get pregnant again after she gave birth. That is nine months to wait. However, a man can get multiple women pregnant every time he sleeps with them and some men don't like or refuse to wear condom or take contraception just because of their ego or "MACHOISM" or it decreases the pleasure. BUT I do AGREE that it is a shared responsibility. So if a woman gets pregnant, she' shouldn't be the only one at fault but she and her partner. Another thing is that society puts more pressure on women to NOT GET PREGNANT than men. Most of the time, women get criticize for getting pregnant. Women can't get pregnant without a partner and yet they are always condemned by society for this.

Edit: How can you have ENOUGH KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE and leave a comment condemning women for getting pregnant? That they put all the responsibility on men to think and be careful about contraception. I mean most of the time going to the OBGYN and birth controls are paid and done solely by females since most of birth controls are made for them. Take note: I didn't say all but most of the time. Solution is no sexual intercourse (apply to man and woman) before marriage and to get better know the personality of potential spouse before deciding to marry. Sex is not everything, like no one dying if they don't do sex. Sex after marriage more meaningful after you really know ur partner and love them for who they are (not only the body) - that just my opinion

What most people don't realize is that LDG also wanted this marriage so much. He came from a brokenhearted family after the youngest child (his only brother) got killed by Chinese gang members while he was studying in Australia.
For years he's been saying in interviews that he wants to build a family of his own and feel that kind of happiness again.
Perhaps that's also the reason why his previous relationships were relatively long. He waited until the other party (or maybe the both of them) would be able to commit to marriage.
The glitch in his system was actually his relationship with Joo Yoon Hee which made all his "calculated steps" irrelevant. It was supposedly a cute love story-- co-stars who were like cats and dogs on set (JYH disliked him so much because of his indifferent personality the first time they met) fell in love and got married ASAP with the whole entertainment industry cheering for them. Sadly, they split.
Maybe LDG didn't put much effort into the marriage or perhaps he fell out of love or could also be because he cheated. We'll really never know for now. I'm still heartbroken that my favorite couple from The Gentleman of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop ended painfully. 🥺 I'm also very sorry for JYH who's known before as wise and careful in terms of her relationships with men, she ended up getting hurt by LDG. I'm sorry for LDG's parents too who were so happy to finally have a doting and loving daughter-in-law and an equally beautiful granddaughter that brought colors to their lives. I hope they could still be allowed to see her grow.

I’m currently watching queen for seven days and his acting stood out to me, the guy is a phenomenal actor, in this drama he did over a 100 different expressions perfectly and the switch from each one was amazing, I just searched his name to see which other dramas he acted in. I’ve realized I don’t have any expectations for these actors life because they’ll definitely disappoint you, at this point I just want to watch a drama and go my way, even following them on social media is something I won’t try again
