So story of selling the house after it was willed to op I think the op should have given home that house so yes the ahole. 1. Op knew how important that house meant to their younger brother and clearly states it in the beginning with how he would investigate every nook and cranny of the house. 2. They did not I repeat did not even think about the house until it was willed to them and he was waiting his whole life to get that house. 3. They made assumptions that if they gave or sold the house to home that he wouldnt be able to afford it and they weren't willing to help there are programs through banks called first time homeowners loans that can used on anything and they can not assume that giving him that house wouldn't of changed anything with op's younger brother because h getting that house could of been why he wasn't really settling down where he was because he was hoping he got that house and why would you split the money 3 ways when your husband never even seen the house come on you didn't even bother to think about your little brother because if you had you would of consider these things I have spoken on and you and your husband got the bigger portion of money considering the fact you and your husband are considered one. And you said your kids had nothing to need for so I assume their collage was already paid for or already being saved for. Yes op you are the azz hole in this story you never I mean never gave your brother a chance to show himself or anyone else that he could turn things around you only thought of yourself and what you said in post is you giving excuses to yourself to make yourself feel better! Just want to point out that story 1's bearded dragons are therapy/emotional support animals not service animals. Service animals receive extensive training and perform a service, like seeing eye dogs or hearing for the deaf and even alert for medical conditions. Please don't get them confused, they are different. That said, glad the OP didn't lose their animals.
@@kitsuinarinightshade4474 that doesn't really matter because the ADA makes it clear only dogs or miniature horses can be service animals. And ada is federal law sooooo... It doesn't exactly matter what language the state uses, if the animal isn't recognized by the ada, it legally is not a service animal and should not be given exemption from no pet policies
The 1st half of the bearded dragon story is so wholesome. I love all animals and when I hear stories of them helping people physically and emotionally it lights up my day. Even though it's only 1:23am, I can confidently say this is the best part of my day 😁

Granny is to blame for putting the burden on the OP and treating the other grandson like crap.
So, if the first tory took place in the us. Just an FYI a lizard cannot be a service animal, no reptile can be a service animal in the us. They can however be a support or therapy animal, which are different from service animals.
That lottery story, DONT SHARE THE WINNINGS. Never ever. With that home that grandma left you. Sell it and DON'T split the money. Screw that idea. He wants to be an arse, to heck with it And those kids kicking your door, CALL THE DANG COPS. Don't play around with it.
Why would she need to split the winnings with the husband's friend? There is absolutely no reason for it. If someone wins the lottery, two thungs neee to be done..call a lawyer and a financial adviser. Do not tell ANYONE, though in Murica, your name is always released.
@viviennemorgan7217 he can share from his side of the split. If OP let's say won one million for an easy number. Why is the friend getting 333,333 fair to her? I see it like this. She gets 500k, husband can have 500k, and he can do as he pleases with his split.
If the lady ask to buy my pets i would have been like "sure how much is everything you own because thats my price everything including your home" like hell there gonna take that deal
From Google :Currently, the most common therapy animals are dogs, but almost any pet, including cats, horses, rabbits, reptiles, and birds, can be used as a therapy pet
its satisfying to know that these kids have literally fucked around and found out what really happens to little dipshits who want to try to bust down someones door
I LOVE bearded dragons! I've had 3, one of which I still have. Also, SOME bearded dragons can be housed together, usually if they were raised together, but if you put two males together, or even two females, especially of different sizes, this can be detrimental to the dragons...particularly the smaller or less dominant ones.
1) To steal is vile, to steal someone's pets is unconscionable, to not listen and not take no for an answer is unreasonable, and to lie and try to cause trouble is despicable. I'm so glad OP's friend called for security, she shouldn't have told to leave, it's good she got arrested. 2) OP's winnings are her's and no one has a right to any of it. They should have consulted an attorney and gotten advice on how to invest. WTH OP? This is unreasonable of her husband to jeopardize their future because of his notion that so much should be given away. OP is right that making their wealth known will lead to headaches and be horrible. 3) "With friends like this." OP needn't invite anyone just because 'family', and to only have those who support her and she wants to be there, and good for OP for sticking to her decision. But is OP sure she wants to marry this guy who is not on her side in this? 4) It seems to me it is sad brother could not afford to buy from OP, fix up this house and live in it, but since he couldn't, and as it was OP's to do what she wanted with it. And it is more than generous to be willing to split the proceeds on something that was left to OP in total. 5) Kudos to OP for this solution. They were "traumatized to go outside " ... good. If they revert, call the cops, and if their awful mother bothers OP again, file a police report and get an RO.
Re: Story 3: _The blood of the_ covenant _is thicker than the water of the_ womb. Re: Story 4: It sounds like the brother is the golden child if the family doesn't agree with OP's logic. Re: Story 5: The mother was a do-nothing deadbeat. That's not the done thing to neglect to teach your kids right from wrong.
Just to clarify, anyone who knows bearded dragons knows that you can't cohabitate them. The reason his two are not attacking each other is because they're opposite sexes. And that is not always a guarantee that they won't attack each other.
I'm not the one saying it. Literally every reptile site says it and I'll ask my vet next time and get back to you. But you're wrong. Yours were probably stressed and one was likely underweight. Honestly you shouldn't have pets if that's how you treat them.
While it is generally true that you shouldn't it is possible to cohabitate if done properly. If there is enough space and recourses and they were raised together their are instances were they have been safely housed together. You do not know these peoples set up, experience level, or the animals overall condition or temperaments. You are being very judgmental for something when you clearly don't have all the information.
The Lotery Story 1- The ticket is OPs Why the hell would she share it with someone other than her immediate family if need be. Op just keep it to yourself and DO NOT SHARE IT!
If this was me in the situation with the lizards, i would have probably gotten physical, regardless of repercussions. My lizards too, are my lifeline. I love them so much and would never let anyone try to steal them, let alone some delusional karen. I too am a walking library of mental disorders. Things like clinical depression, adhd, and autism. My mess of a brain would have exploded and imploded at the same time. With no hesitation i would have screeched, snarled, and probably pelted her across the face. Angry insults spewing left and right. Unfortunately this is just the person i am, but i would regret nothing. On a better note, i had no idea that i could get my lizards approved as service animals. I definitely will look into it since it may very well help me a lot.
Story 3: If family was that important, the brother in law should have insisted on getting OP in their wedding. BIL is just a hypocrite. OP should be questioning his relationship with his future wife if she's not on his side and thinking his the jerk.
Playing devil's advocate here but, you are making quite a huge assumption there believing that he didn't advocate for trying to get OP there with his wife. The reason OP is out here raging that a guy he hadn't met before was calling him could easily be the same reason that the Brother in law didn't directly contact him and try to encourage him before. The sister also could've gone bridezilla about it to shut him up or any other number of scenario's. OP isn't exactly an impartial and objective observer here as their words clearly had animosity behid every bit. Honestly I got the sense that the Brother in law was just a dude stuck in between two extraodinarily proud, pig headed people and just trying to mend a broken bridges, Brother in law may very well have simply meant to try and reason with/ convince OP and OP interpreted it as preachy because of the subject matter. Did the Brother in law go about it in the most effective way, no, but I honestly feel like he's the only one here that isn't any semblance of an asshole.
@@umbranassassin8372 it's the BIL's wedding too not just the OP's sister's. He could have invited OP but he didn't because he's too much of a simp to follow his own beliefs and values in "family is important".
@@HWC91 Yeah it's the BILs wedding too but it ain't the BILs sibling nor the BILs conflict and trying to force something when his wife isn't willing is only going to cause the greatest conflict imaginable. Not only conflict with his own spouse and him but also conflict with OP and the mother, conflict between OP and OP's sister, conflict with BIL and OPs mom, and conflict between BIL and OP. You're looking at this just as obstinant and tunnel visioned as the OP is. There isn't any simping to be had here just you being mad and blinded by all the negative portrayals reddit gives to "family oriented" people. The fact that he got his wife to admit she really wanted to go despite her pride and the fact that he is at the point where he's making this call shows he's been either wearing her down. BIL got her to the point of admitting, to him at least, that she does in fact want a relationship there and gotten to the point where he knows she'll ride along once he gets the train moving out of the petty station. This conflict is a two way street and him trying to build a relationship or secretly invite OP or anything you'd propose means absolutely nothing if neither of the two people at the center of the conflict remain passive aggressive at best and unwilling to come to any sort of compromise
@@umbranassassin8372 so why stick his noes in his wife's family business now?? BIL is just a griffer who's pretends family matters. It's like OP said if he's really that desperate for a free meal, get OP's sister to call instead of the BIL to do the dirty work. And isn't it a hugh assumption that BIL got his wife to "admit" she was too prideful.
Story 4: I do sincerely feel bad for the brother here, but OP really made the right decision. The brother's solution would have not only been financially disadvantegous to both parties, but it also would've been a serious risk. You can't start on a project like this when you live paycheck to paycheck, you gotta have something you can fall back on in case something unexpectedly goes wrong.
My cat is very hostile to strangers if a Karen tried to grab my cat, the security would have to call an ambulance because my cat won’t hesitate to put several claws in her. Himalayan crossed ragdolls may look cute but they are known for their claws.
Why haven't they banned that lady from the mall? For the lotto story. Here's the deal. Get a financial consultant now. Don't give that friend anything until you have legal barriers in place so he or his family can't take it all. Offer them 1/4 of the total if they ask for more take it off the table cause they shown their true colors. Make sure non of that money is not in your LLC. Wedding thing. Honestly It's your wedding you can invite whomever you want.. However I do think this toxicity needs to be addressed at some point. The grandmothers house. Honestly I think you made the best move. Problem is that brother isn't gonna have the money to fix it up right and its gonna degrade even more. I would much rather sell it someone who will take care of it and fix it then someone who can't afford to fix it but wants to hold to it because of sentimental purposes. I dont think your grandmother would of wanted that. As for the door kicking. Those kids are lucky they only got humiliated. Frankly I'd make the little shits pay dearly. They can suck on some paint balls or pepper balls.
Wedding story: OP was kinda toxic and hateful too tbh, there was absolutely no reason to treat the BIL like that. I was mostly behind OP up until that point, then it became a slight everyone sucks here except the brother in law.
In the US service animals are limited to dogs (and miniature horses that meet very specific ADA requirements), and there is no legal 'certification' for service dogs.
What? Holy crap. Only a dog can be a service dog? Who would have thought that only a dog could be a service dog. I better go break it to my cat that he'll never be able to live his dream as a service dog.
You should verify your information before posting it, yes there are legal certifications for service animals. There are forms a doctor has to fill out for a therapy or emotional support animal, but service animals are trained and certified.
@NancyCampbell-rk9rm no, there is no certifation for service dogs in the US. Look up the laws regarding this on the ADA website. Service animals are not: Required to be certified or go through a professional training program Required to wear a vest or other ID that indicates they’re a service dog Emotional support or comfort dogs, because providing emotional support or comfort is not a task related to a person’s disability -ADA . gov
When I win the Lottery, I will go immediately to a financial planner, in a legal agency with tax attorneys and get an investment strategy I WOULD NEVER SHARE THE WINFALL. I might have to move / relocate and cut ties to family and friends.
If there's one thing I've learned from listening to so many reddit stories, it's this; If you should win the lottery, or otherwise come into significant amounts of money, *tell no one.*
My wife and I were at a picnic with some friends. While we were eating I noticed a pet carrier and a sign that said free kittens. I immediately stopped eating and ran over. I learned from the owner that a stray cat had broken into her basement, given birth and never returned. They were all so cute but one was in fact the cutest. Immediately I fell in love and when I brought him over I asked my wife if we could keep him. (I never had a cat but love them despite my allergy to them.) She agreed as long as she could name him and we were already calling our vet to get an appointment for him. Suddenly a little girl comes up asking to see him. I lower him so he's eye-level. (I don't have a tight grip on him because he's a baby.) She yanks him out of my hands and runs off towards her mom yelling "Can we keep him?" When I reached them I said "Not this one, he's mine, I told you 'you could see him'." I took him away from her and went back to my wife. The mom was nice though and said "sorry." She then promised her a kitten from the carrier.
Why do you even have to SELL that house to your brother? I would have let him live there and fix it up gradually seeing that you don't really need the money. The fact that he has savings to offer should show you that he was looking forward to having it. I think you are only looking for money and control.
Someone tries to steal even my fish and they die immediately(screw the kid)also this guy was so patient i would have gave my lizard to my friend and lunged for her and her kid and basically kill them
*Story 1:* Talk about crazy! It's one thing to admire a person's pets, but to demand to buy the pet, particularly after OP insisted *"No!, they're not for sale!",* that's *so* not okay to do. And to then to try to steal them off of OP? What the hell was karen thinking? What made her think she's *"entitled"* to them?
OP4: If he wanted it that badly why doesn't he buy it? Oh wait he can't afford a fair price which means he can't afford to repair or msintain it. It would be IRRESPONSIBLE for OP to sell it to him.
Hard disagree about the house story (4). As much as OPs decision makes financial sense, they used their position as some heir of the house to make unilateral decisions. From the way they presented it, it sounds like they made the call to sell the house completely on their own without including the rest of the family. I wish that OPs brother had the opportunity to realize on their own that it didn't make good sense for him to buy the house. As it is, he will forever associate losing his dream home with OPs one-sided call. OP, you forgot to factor the human element into your equations, and that's why you're ostracized now.
Your money is your money, not even your husband gets a say in that money. And if he wants to keep pressing the issue, I would want to know why. Are you and your best friend more than just friends? Because a best friend wouldn't act like that, towards their wife over their friend, for their friend. And the first thing you need to do with that money other than pay off any debt or bills, is investe it. That way you never have to worry about money again. Even if your husband goes behind your back and steals most of it to give to his friend.
First Story: If you're carrying your "service animal" in a bag, it is not a service animal. Service animals help you with specific tasks. If you're just carrying it around with you, it's not a service animal, it's a pet. You can call it an Emotional Support Animal if you want, but it's still just a pet, and businesses are under no obligation to let you bring your pet into their establishment.
Lol yeah. They're in their habitat With that saying "if the shoe fits" - They love to lie to authority - Frame innocent people for actions they didn't do - "If I cant have it nobody can" mentality Also for Karen's kid. While although they may takes the side of their bratty parent, in some audio stories on RUclips. I've also noticed that the Karen's kid could also side with OP and rat out their entitled parent (double Karma). That's like if the situation escalates even more worse.
For the door kicking "kids" case they are lucky they came to your door, in other parts of the world they might get the police first for a warning and then their a*** whopped and their parents too, because you know, good neighbours help each other in hard times..
Advice for the lottery story: 1. Have only one of you go to claim the money, and if it’s one of those that shows the person who won the money, go in full costume(don’t show your face or even your skin) 2. Claim the overtime winnings; basically if you win you can chose 1 of 2 ways to get the money either all at once(only get about 80%), or over like 3 years(all the money) 3. If you both want to let the friend in on the money, either tell them that you both got a raise or swear him to secrecy 4. Start a business venture with your friend and give him parts of his share over time through an anonymous donation, and reinforce to him that he can tell his wife if he trusts her with the secret but that if it gets out through either one of them he’d have to be cut off immediately
Beardies are good lizards. Easy for beginners. I used to have a chameleon myself. A beautiful veiled. He was a spoiled and aggressive fellow Also winning the lottery is not multi generational wealth. After the government takes their undeserved cut and keeps taking it, plus prices of everything, good luck.
There’s a special place in hell for people who try to snatch someone’s pets or service animals. Plus as an Australian, I can tell you bearded dragons will get very aggressive when distressed.
Story #1 : How has that mall not banned that entitled karen because if that isn't the first time that the police were called on that entitled Karen for trying to steal someone's animal then clearly this woman is a massive problem for that mall. You can bet that when she comes out of jail then she wlll try this again so that ban order needs to be issued.
Kids will be kids, but that's exactly why they needs parents to teach them right from wrong. I guarantee the reason those boys do what they do is because they want attention. Attention that they're clearly not getting from their parents.
Yeah. That lotto money is actually just HERS in practice. Because if there's a divorce, the man will get nothing. However, if he won, and there was a divorce, he'd STILL get nothing and she'd get it all.
@@robinmontoya9691 On paper, yes. But not in practice. I learned this universal truth in the USMC at 18. What's written is not followed unless you're the "peasant" in the scenario. In divorce court, women are "nobles" and the rules don't apply to them.
About the first Story, anyone else find the Karen super suspicious? Not only did she try to kidnap the dragons, but apparently she's done this many, many times before? Plus, there was a lady with the service dog talking to the police, whom I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Karen probably tried to steal her dog. I don't know about yall, but something smells fishy here. I don't wonder if the Karen was trying to steal the pets not for her son, but to sell them, either to breeders, regular people who don't know where the animals are from, or to those with bad intentions. What do yall think?
If this story is taking place in the us, then there is no such thing as documents for a service animal, and a reptile cannot be one. According to the ADA.
If it’s his “dream” and he fails that’s on him, but taking his “dream” and selling it because you think he can’t handle it is on you. You took the decision away from him. preventing people from making mistakes is not the same as protecting them from mistakes. Maybe this would have made him more financially responsible because he has more to lose. No one will ever know and the blame falls squarely on the shareholders of the one who gets to make the decision.
Bearded dragons can't be service animals. They are emotional support animals. And you can't legally take them everywhere. That is reserved for service animals. Service animals are only dogs. Bearded dragons can be emotional support animals.
According to the american with disabilities acts there are two types of animals that can legally be used as service animals dogs of any breed and miniature horses those are the two types of animals that can legally be used as service animals but of course it might be different in other countries and states but that's how it is in the one that i live in i mean absolutely no disrespect so sorry if this came out wrong i'm trying to be as respectful as possible happy early halloween!🎃
@@elizabethsourjohn676 Given that they're endemic to the eastern half of Australia, logic would denote that this story took place in the Land Down Under.
I have a pet bearded dragon and if anyone wants it I am saying “No you are not having my bearded dragon the stuff I got for him is expensive.” And if they try to steal him my bearded dragon will bite them everything is food for him (yes he is very fat) (by the way he stays in his cage) so if he bites anyone who tries to steal him I will laugh.
I kinda take the brother's side on #4 a bit more. It was a childhood dream of his, and there was no pressure to just sell off the home instantly. It would've been more appropriate to say something more like, "Hey, I'm willing to sell the home to you but you gotta provide the money to do all the repairs on it first, and I'm limiting the deadline to x years". Liquifying it was a very soul-crushing and selfish move that was entirely unnecessary. If the home was worth more thsn money to him, he would've done everything to get it, and you didn't even give him a chance.
not to mention, giving him money from the home of his dreams was just rubbing salt in the wound. Sure, money was good, but it's a constant reminder that dream is dead.
Wedding story: No, the sister is a dick for treating her BIL that way. She could easily have said in a polite way that her sister is the cause of all this tention. It does concern him because he's family oriented and it's his wife. Just because the OP believes he's a nobody and this isn't his business. Doesn't mean she can treat him that way when he was just trying to help and wasn't being aggressive about it. The OPs treatment of everyone else is justified. House story: overall I don't think the OP is a jerk for making a fairly educated decision. But that decision was based off a bit of selfish greed. Just say you want the money. Oh no! 30% below market value on a house you didn't even need the money for? How awful for you. Yes, the brother should have been a bit more focused on how the split money could change his life and is overall more beneficial. But he is also justified in feeling like you betrayed his life long dream of owning the house. No matter his financial situation. Ding dong ditchers: if the kids don't change their behavior after a kind warning. Then whatever happens, happens. Let the awful parents and shitty kids learn their lesson.
Story #4 I completely understand the reason behind the decision, and it was the OP's property to do what they will with, but I do think them somewhat the jerk for not giving their brother an opportunity to get the house
Lottery win,so hubby wants to give his "friend" 1/3 of your winnings, which sounds like he thinks he is getting 1/3 also, you won not him or them, the friend isn't entitled to a dime, and just to be clear claim the winnings in your name only, you are not an LLC, no doubt that is hubby's idea, definitely get a lawyer and financial adviser, you really need to protect yourself!
The only jerk thing the OP did in the wedding story is stoop to the sisters lvl. The sister should have said her piece and moved on with things, like stand with the cheating mother, fine, don't come to the wedding, it'll be less stressful that day. For the last story, denting the door is when you talk to the parents, messing with the packages is when you call the police with the photo evidence at the ready.
Wow, the OP should not be making decisions for her brother. She's not God. Making decisions for someone else sounds like she's bullying him. I understand the price being too low, but apparently she likes controlling how her brother lives. I would cut ties with her.
me a dummy would have it where my dragon be on me and the leash made where the callore and the leash fuse together as a chocker for me if someone try to take it and to take the dragon it need a flinger print

If the lady ask to buy my pets i would have been like "sure how much is everything you own because thats my price everything including your home" like hell there gonna take that deal
The last story. Hell...... call the cops and have kids do the exact same thing to them.
From Google :Currently, the most common therapy animals are dogs, but almost any pet, including cats, horses, rabbits, reptiles, and birds, can be used as a therapy pet
Yes, therapy. Therapy animals are not the same as service animals, which is what was said. In the US no reptile can be a service animal.
its satisfying to know that these kids have literally fucked around and found out what really happens to little dipshits who want to try to bust down someones door

Story 2: split winnings in half and your husband can do whatever he wants with his half. Get a lawyer though to cover your half of the money
Story 4: I can see the brother being upset, but the rest of the family should be on the OP’s side because of the OP’s pragmatism.
The op is so wrong the only way she'd be right is if she turned around.
Just to clarify, anyone who knows bearded dragons knows that you can't cohabitate them. The reason his two are not attacking each other is because they're opposite sexes. And that is not always a guarantee that they won't attack each other.
That's a lie dude. I had 2 male bearded dragons growing up in the same tank. They never fought.
I'm not the one saying it. Literally every reptile site says it and I'll ask my vet next time and get back to you. But you're wrong. Yours were probably stressed and one was likely underweight. Honestly you shouldn't have pets if that's how you treat them.
@jenguinofdoom4747 so because my pets aren't aggressive I was an abusive pet owner?
While it is generally true that you shouldn't it is possible to cohabitate if done properly. If there is enough space and recourses and they were raised together their are instances were they have been safely housed together. You do not know these peoples set up, experience level, or the animals overall condition or temperaments. You are being very judgmental for something when you clearly don't have all the information.
The Lotery Story
1- The ticket is OPs
Why the hell would she share it with someone other than her immediate family if need be. Op just keep it to yourself and DO NOT SHARE IT!
For the kids banging the door. Get a sprinkler that can be started with an app. When the come on your property, turn them on.
We all just gonna ignore how he said they were busting in his door
The one thing I have to say is you don't get to decide what's "for your brothers own good"
The bearded dragon story also has a story in the perspective of the dog owner who I believe was a blind person

Ahh, that's not true. You can also have horses as a service animal, according to ADA.
@NancyCampbell-rk9rm no, there is no certifation for service dogs in the US. Look up the laws regarding this on the ADA website.
Service animals are not:
Required to be certified or go through a professional training program
Required to wear a vest or other ID that indicates they’re a service dog
Emotional support or comfort dogs, because providing emotional support or comfort is not a task related to a person’s disability
-ADA . gov

The house story. How was the brother both in debt and had savings? I smell fishy
That mother in the last story is truly a piece of garbage!
Those little brats should have had the cops called on them.
Implying brother is certified
Story 4: yes OP is the 🍑🕳️. Her life was fine before she got the house and could of give the house to her brother. Just say "I want the money"
Bro, the last one at first whenever he said he humiliated kids I thought he meant spanking them in front of the whole town
You should give Karen life scorpion
First Story: If you're carrying your "service animal" in a bag, it is not a service animal. Service animals help you with specific tasks. If you're just carrying it around with you, it's not a service animal, it's a pet. You can call it an Emotional Support Animal if you want, but it's still just a pet, and businesses are under no obligation to let you bring your pet into their establishment.
Lol yeah. They're in their habitat
With that saying "if the shoe fits"
- They love to lie to authority
- Frame innocent people for actions they didn't do
- "If I cant have it nobody can" mentality
Also for Karen's kid.
Advice for the lottery story:
1. Have only one of you go to claim the money, and if it’s one of those that shows the person who won the money, go in full costume(don’t show your face or even your skin)
2. Claim the overtime winnings; basically if you win you can chose 1 of 2 ways to get the money either all at once(only get about 80%), or over like 3 years(all the money)
3. If you both want to let the friend in on the money, either tell them that you both got a raise or swear him to secrecy
4. Start a business venture with your friend and give him parts of his share over time through an anonymous donation, and reinforce to him that he can tell his wife if he trusts her with the secret but that if it gets out through either one of them he’d have to be cut off immediately
For the last story I personally would have called the police and make a report so others can follow
1st story: Karen thinks she's Cruella De Vil.
Beardies are good lizards. Easy for beginners.
I used to have a chameleon myself. A beautiful veiled. He was a spoiled and aggressive fellow
Also winning the lottery is not multi generational wealth. After the government takes their undeserved cut and keeps taking it, plus prices of everything, good luck.
There’s a special place in hell for people who try to snatch someone’s pets or service animals.
Plus as an Australian, I can tell you bearded dragons will get very aggressive when distressed.

If it’s his “dream” and he fails that’s on him, but taking his “dream” and selling it because you think he can’t handle it is on you. Maybe this would have made him more financially responsible because he has more to lose. No one will ever know and the blame falls squarely on the shareholders of the one who gets to make the decision.
Story 2 you're not the jerk it's your husband money and yours not his friends

Story 3: Apparently, family doesn't mean a thing to the OP's home-wrecking biological mother......

The only jerk thing the OP did in the wedding story is stoop to the sisters lvl. The sister should have said her piece and moved on with things, like stand with the cheating mother, fine, don't come to the wedding, it'll be less stressful that day.
