Was checking it out at my local hobby shop with my buddies that work there and we all think it's awesome....so scale from ROC...really just needs some final accessories and some stickers and ready for the trails.....I love it!!!
That door opening while in motion is normal for them old time jeeps , I had a 1981 CJ7 and those Michigan pot holes would make the doors open up , and it would scare the crap out of any passenger ! GLAD TO SEE THEY GOT EVERY DETAIL PERFECT ESPEACILY THE DOORS !!
I wish more R/C vehicles were designed like this, with a full scale interior, all the electronics under the hood, and a hard body that doesn't come off. I know it's not the best from a performance perspective, but the scale realism aspect is just so damn cool. I want to see a 1/7 scale street-legal on-road car, like a Mustang or something, built like this.
Great review! I find seeing the mechanics parts of an RC to be something really important in a review! I think they did a great job. There's room for improvement, simple magnets on the doors, etc would stop them from opening while driving, for example. I find with a bit of work, people will do wonders and build incredible scalers. Nice one Greg! 👍🙂
Glad you did a review on this I've seen sneak peeks here n there but I've been waiting for you to release a video on it cuz I really like how you thoroughly go over everything in your videos, truly appreciate what you do and how you do it, thanks for the awesome video 👍
So cool to see the driver actually moving along with the wheel. I think someone was saying a 9 in. figure is the correct size. I’m impressed with there first go at 1:10 scale & I think people thought the performance was going to be bad but it actually holds its own & I’m sure there’s going to be lots of mods & upgrades. Good look though thanks. I’m now on the fence between this & the new Element Sendero I’m leaning on the Element because I think it’s a better base for performance but I’ll definitely be getting this Jeep in the future it’s just to nice. My decision is based a lot on I have a lot of trail crawlers currently. I know the Element is considered a trail truck but I think it’s going to be getting mods that will make it a much better performer Rock Pirates already has shock towers that lower it so I know there’s going to be a very strong aftermarket & that definitely helps sway me more towards it as well.
The Mashigan {according to its wheelbase) scales out to a near perfect 1/7 scale (1/7.1), so doing the calculations for a 6 foot man, the right figure would be 10.29 inches tall. I'd round it off to 10 inches even and look for a figure that size.
I think it’s pretty sweet looking, but FMS should’ve given it tougher hinges, a 2 speed transmission, oil filled shocks (with very light oil though, a little bounce makes it look realistic) and it needs a complete electronics overhaul. I would probably buy one for $350 if it had all that stuff, but as it sits I’d probably pay $260-$280 for one
looks amazing, but it looks a lot bigger than 1/10. Looks closer to 1/8 or possibly 1/6. That action figure inside is 6 or 7 inches tall (I'm assuming)
I can always count on RCDriver to have the clearest, best focused, most complete bench top breakdowns and reviews. Thank you! But to your merit I'm seriously running out of space, and I don't wanna sell any of em'.
As to the doors that don't stay shut, they could have easily made functional latching doors with working handles like the Rochobby 1/12 Kommandeurwagen. In fact I EXPECT and demand them to do so because they set the bar so high and it would be easier to make in this larger scale.
I like the idea of putting stuff on, then you see how to take stuff apart, it’s like us drone guys, better off building and knowing what the issue is…love this jeep and this review was perfect man! But no I do see it being a hassle
Since I've put one of those chinese 2-door JK bodies on my Ascender a few years ago, I'm found of hard body scalers ... they don't perform as well, but they perform more like real trucks, and are more pleasing to see running. I have the Willys and the Jimny, looks like they did their homework on this one too ... except for the rear bumper, too low, too fin ... but the other two had their quirks too. Mine is already on its way, as its driver ... can't drive a hard-body without a driver, even more when it's open-top.
Everybody is always bitching about the low tech friction shocks on many crawlers but I don't see the need because bounce is realistic and stiffer shocks with oil usually means the chassis is stiffer with less articulation. The only place I need oil dampened shocks is something like a fast stadium truck that does jumps and moves 30 MPH. I had a heavy nitro truck and oil dampened shocks were a necessity. Q: doesn't the Mashigan shocks have seals and can take shock oil?
Great video Greg as always. Yes I've been asking and waiting to buy a scale vehicle that actually fit a full figure. Buuuuut, if a nimh battery won't fit, this beauty is not for me. 😔😟
Anybody know of a good 1:10 TJ kit? The YJ is pretty close so a bit of creative modding and some 3d printed parts might get the job done but having it set up as a TJ from the get-go would be awesome
I thought it looked really nice but not one to add to my collection... Waiting instead for them to make more US ww2 vehicles in 1/12 then they can just take my money😁
I bought it too, the steering is terrible, no sensible steering angle is possible, 30 degrees left, right is not enough. You can hardly drive around the curve 🤔🫣
Why do americans say front headlights, rear taillights, front windshield and so on?? Head and tail says what is needed i think... Nice truck and love your vids!!
@Red Viking Hobbies RC In case you never ordered from them,I can tell you they're completely safe. They're located in China but I never had any issues buying stuff. I must've placed about 10 orders without issues.
@Red Viking Hobbies RC not a problem and glad I could help. If you're looking to do the leaf spring conversion like I did. The fms website itself has them. Just type in leaf springs in the search bar.

😁ROCHobby did it again!😃 A 1/10 scale line! Wow!!!🤯
It's really nice that you let that muscular child drive your truck.
I don’t see anyone 🤷♂️
@@rcdriver Maybe you're the muscular child,I know I am one.😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ooooooookui8iiii

My 95 does it for fun
Wow! That's crazy how realistic that looks
Rc driven online in the morning makes a great day ❤

I'm hoping to pick 1 up in the next few days. I even have a spare HH brushed motor, esc and servo that needs a new home, lol

Amazing detail, but if you're doing a YJ you need to keep the leaf springs! Amazing though

I don't think its something I'm going to get but I do like it. Nice review Greg. Like button engaged.
Nice ride! Maybe we can hide some magnets in those door panels?
🤔I want to wait for a color choice Grey or Black, If they make color bodies soon for the jeep.🤨👍
I can always count on RCDriver to have the clearest, best focused, most complete bench top breakdowns and reviews. Thank you! But to your merit I'm seriously running out of space, and I don't wanna sell any of em'.
Nice looking jeep. Seems to get around pretty well...
Great looking crawler and detail, but no differentials? Should have differentials to improve on road handling (if I decide to run it on road).
That little guy is RIPPED!
As to the doors that don't stay shut, they could have easily made functional latching doors with working handles
like the Rochobby 1/12 Kommandeurwagen. In fact I EXPECT and demand them to do so because they set the

I hope they bring it back. I know it is available on Chinese sites but they want about 450 plus shipping and more
I like the idea of putting stuff on, then you see how to take stuff apart, it’s like us drone guys, better off building and knowing what the issue is…love this jeep and this review was perfect man! But no I do see it being a hassle
FMS seems to be kicking RC4WD’s rear when it comes to details. Keep up the good work FMS. 👍
Another great review Greg, hope you and everyone else had a great Thanksgiving!

My fms jeep had a broken rx out of the box. Lhs said that was the number 2 sold with broken rx. Be ready to buy a new radio and rx.
Do you have a compare video between this jeep and the CJ-7 SCX-10 RTR?
Sweet jeep. Not sure if I like the price 🤔. But I would definitely like to have one
Hi, what is the best 2s battery pack you recommend? Neat review and rig.
I am new to R/C and just bought this jeep because i have a full size YJ so, I'm wondering the same thing which batterys and charger are best for it ?
the suspension on this seems way more plush than the new GEN 9 from Redcat. albeit, smaller?

this seems to be the release of the year for me ;)
the front bumper looks like a couple driving lights would be nice. " KC "
Good review . Nice truck .
Great review Greg!
great review
In every video of the Mashigan the back door breaks and front doors and hood all have the same problem. Maybe magnets could work ok.?
Do the license plates say "Mashigan", or "Michigan"?
Did you put grease in the dry axles?
Is the fms1/6 willy or this better at offroad
Good review.
Nice review brother, like n subbed
When will they be back in stock ... I can't find this thing anywhere
Never will be....jeep shut it down.
Very cool!
Dang. Doesn’t look like you can get this rig anymore. Can’t find a place to order it
i love the size of the action figure. it makes the MASHIGAN look like a 6th scale. HAHA!
Nice humb
Anybody know of a good 1:10 TJ kit? The YJ is pretty close so a bit of creative modding and some 3d printed parts might get the job done but having it set up as a TJ from the get-go would be awesome
Would have been nice to see wrangler mt-r's on it
Arnie's never looked so small 😆
Great looking rig. Looked like a real Jeep clicking the thumbnail.
woulden't this be their 2nd? considering the army/military jeep isnt a 1/6 scale. its basically 1/10...
looks excatly the same minus the body change.
I guess you can't get it anymore it says page can't be displayed
Try the Fair RC link in the video description. They supposedly have some.
Cost??
I thought it looked really nice but not one to add to my collection... Waiting instead for them to make more US ww2 vehicles in 1/12 then they can just take my money😁
I bought it too, the steering is terrible, no sensible steering angle is possible, 30 degrees left, right is not enough. You can hardly drive around the curve 🤔🫣
This jeep wheelbase is half inch longer than fms 6 scale jeep. Why labeled 10 scale.
Looks like the driver needs a booster seat and blocks on the pedals.
It needs a tan soft top...
Why do americans say front headlights, rear taillights, front windshield and so on??
Head and tail says what is needed i think...
Nice truck and love your vids!!
Give it B minus Good question why don't they put the seats in it ,,,The stuff popping Open,😵💫👍
if details are important why run the tires backwards they are directional
Cena’s a bit small in there
What ever happened to this jeep? They still making this? I ordered one from a reputable company and they never got them. There a story with these?
Not sure if you're still looking but I ordered mine from Asiatees this morning. It was about $430 shipped.
@Jon Laird Yes I am! Thank you!
@Red Viking Hobbies RC In case you never ordered from them,I can tell you they're completely safe. They're located in China but I never had any issues buying stuff. I must've placed about 10 orders without issues.
@Jon Laird I have thank you. I just wasn't seeing it in searches anymore in the usual places. Thanks again!
@Red Viking Hobbies RC not a problem and glad I could help. If you're looking to do the leaf spring conversion like I did. The fms website itself has them. Just type in leaf springs in the search bar.
Salut moi je viens d en acheter une bonne journée
you need little bigger driver heheeh 😆 ..this liitle muscle baby dont see from windshield
Diffs transfer case and gear box are dry, add grease or suffer the consequences
For that price I think there are far better options with far better stock gear.
Sooo. This is the 3rd review i've seen today that the tailgate broke off at the hinges. I'd say this is an issue that needs a recall!
Such a strange gear box don't think you will get much gear reduction from it
Wrong roll bar.
FLEX in the chassis and comes with FAKE "Hyrax" tyre's ??
warning to all your subscribers theres a guy scaming . said your the lucky winner for today . becareful
So far I've heard it's to fast. More of a trail truck. I don't think that kid is old enough to drive either, lol
That thing drawfs Cena, its like you can't see him at all.
Hardbody carnage is unfortunately normal
Hi.
In Portugal 29 of this month its Dad day,
I dont have any money to buy a gift to my dad, can u offer me that rc car to give to my dad? Please
Driver is a buff 8 yr old lol
