- It seems that FMS (Rochobby) have already stopped selling the Rochobby Mashigan after only a month! Josh from Harley Designs mentioned it on his scale new and thinks it maybe because of the 'Jeep' style with no license. I think that may be the reason also!

What impresses me most is you're driving the car one handed while filming with the other hand and giving interesting commentary... Talent!
Taken a few years of practice!
U'v gotten really good
what impresses me most is you can still buy it.
Good job! Chuck Mashigan was the guy who designed the Jeep YJ. Kind of a cool tribute!
Actually, the Mashigan name comes from the guy that designed this Jeep back in the day, Chuck Mashigan. Neat coincidence that it sound almost like Michigan though.
It definitely does look good, with some absolutely mint details. And yes, big, for sure. The tires though..? I guess they work well, but not very scale, are they?
This thing is stunning, i think i prefer it with the roof off.
Upgrade to a 1080 and you have the perfect scale trail truck !
Yes, a few tweaks and it’ll be really good!
Well the interior detail is really good. The steering wheel and the center pad and horn button cover are instantly recognizable to the real thing.
Even that rollover looked scale as hell with everything flying open!
The wrangler body is definitely scale to the size of the willys.. they’re a couple inches wider and longer than the willys so it looks good..
phil: no indicators i like that
BMW drivers: yes someone that can relate to us
This is another great review and it's a good looking crawler/trail truck. Thanks for the road test.
Thanks Michael
Just watched Austin Powers while recovering from surgery.thx for the help recovering.❤
I have several hobbywing 1040s in my crawlers and they are all very precise AND super efficient. My hobbywing trucks almost all run for at least an hour on a 2200 mah 3 cell. Its a great unit and a great deal.
I've got a nice set of stamped steel beadlocks that would fit that thing beautifully.
This one's definitely going on the list... The long, long & constantly growing list.!!
Thanks for another brilliant review video Phil (& Austin)...
I'm looking forward to the new ZD Racing MT I saw on your bench.!.!.! (you got the right colour too).!
Yes. It’s a nice truck! The MX-07 video ‘maybe’ ready for tomorrow 😉👍
Hiya Phil! Good to see FMS paying attention as they always do! They did right by this scale and by using the YJ body. To me the Willy’s ,CJ And YJ are the best from Jeep as they had a rawness about them that the new ones don’t have today. It seemed pretty scale to me next to that Willys model. Austin looked great in there but like you said just a hair small. Really impressed with the traction this thing has. I love it! Yeah baby! Yeah! Like the ress as l Jeeps though, I wish I could afford one😜!
I love this side of rc. Just relaxing, not huge air or max speed. The attention to detail really makes me want to get one of these jeeps.
Yes, you can buy it-certain forces within FMS have made sure it's back on the market. I have it on senior management authority and I know at least 2 US dealers who have them in stock and ordered more recently.
Also, when they designed the first vehicle the MB, the engineers have a bit of a dilemma-do they classify it in true scale like the aircraft (where they measure the wingspan, and the scale of the model is determined as such) or do they go the weird way of the RC car, enthusiasts hobby and go by wheelbase? In the end to make sure they were true and correct they went with the true scale option. You wouldn't believe how many people, especially in the US market, complained about the fact it said 1:6 on the box, even though it was the correct scale for the vehicle, anyway, after much discussion, internally, the box was changed from the Machigan onwards. Wait to see what's coming!! Keep up the good work @Tomley RC 👍👍
This is on my list for Christmas for sure!!!! The name comes from the designer of the YJ. It's cool that FMS did the research to pay homage. Great review Tomley!!!!
I think I saw something about with the name that actually. After I’d recorded this video though
how good was that end mud scene ! majestic
That's a really nice job from FMS. The increase in scale hasn't affected their detail. And there room for Austin, and his family in there!! Definitely needs seat belts though!! 😆
Yes haha… seat belts next time!
Looks good in the mud! Would love one of these but can’t really justify the price rn
Another cool vid. This trail truck looks and goes quite well from the look of this demo. Always good to see new and decent product coming out and being competetive.
Cheers dude
Yeeee-Haaa! At 14‘58“ : the RIGHT music for this trail - crawler - presentation… 👍😉FMS ones again nailed it ! A nice RC with a lot details to an exaptable price…
What a beautiful jeep, Phil! 😃
Fantastic ride and review!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Shame about the colour choice or lack of but really like this looks great.
Good excuse for painting it 😎👌
I thought the same 👍🍺🇬🇧
I am a 12" or 1/6th scale WWII action figure collector. I bought the Jeep and now would love for them to make the kubelwagon in 1/6th scale as well!! Fingers Crossed!!
What impresses me…. The sound-engineering done in this video. Nice sound-effects, great speaking-sound.
First person I have seen get it dirty, nice work. You have almost made me want to get one.
I recognized the Michigan liscense plate from the thumbnail! Being from Michigan, I want one for the liscense plate alone!
Throwback Air Max is the appropriate footwear for any adventure. Except this one.
Yes haha, I’ve actually got some Air Max ‘Surplus’ which would have been a better choice, but these ones have had a good innings so far, a little mud won’t hurt
Somehow even if I already watched a video review from SBG I still want to watch this vid. Whoever post the video first I still watch all of them 😂. You guys do a really good job of reviewing RCs and it's all your fault I'm broke.
The Actor that played Austin (Mike Myers) isn’t a big guy. So it’s probably proper? 😂 Nice one Phil! It looks so good! I agree if you add a 1080 & maybe a better servo? It’d be a nice bit of kit! 👍
I love FMS....
THey are quickly becoming my fav go to for scale rigs!
Been waiting for FMS to go 1/10 and this is class! Thanks for the discount code my good man 😄
Great review. That rig went through lots of slop, nice place to wheel. YEAH BABY, YEAH...
seems a pretty good rig and superb detailing on it
Thank you Tomley for your review. I really enjoyed it. It touched all the neccesary details with a lot of fun.
Just looking at this and the picture caught my eye. That's an awesome spot for a run. All the videos I see on this - think I'm sold! Going to be ordering this soon.
It's incredible to me that the fact it has some bounce to it is a negative. That's what gives it that "scale". Also, who else misses those $80 rc monster trucks from radio shack in the 90s? They'd be asking ten times that these days!
I recon some good wheel weights that would be a good runner. That was some thick old goop at the end and it powered through nicely.
Yes, a few tweaks and it’ll be really good!
Just dug my old FYX spyder out the shed. Might go for a crawl this weekend if it stops raining!
In Germany at least, you can still buy the Mashigan from several dealers. I ordered one myself a week ago.
Michigan woot woot Tip of the mitt baby!!!! I’m mostly into mini crawlers but I’ve been think about scaling up 🧐 and this looks incredible on the trails. Thanks for posting 👋
Fantastic playground for sure, I have a old rock quarry around here in Michigan two of them actually one I could walk to one I had to drive a few miles.
" JEEPIN' BABY!-YEAH " ‼️👍👍🦾🦾🦾🦾
Articulation as it’s jointed, flexing as in movement to tolerance of a solid
I got the email for this this morning. I had no clue what a Mashigan was. 🤣
😅
Definitely getting one just to make it better BUT fyi the word “ mashigan” was the original creator or the jeeps first name so that’s really where they got it…. Not from a Michigan plate.
This rig is really awesome with all its details 100% scale! The is about between 1/7 and 1/8th scale if you know
that the Wrangler YJ was about 3,90 meters in length!
4-wheelin' in Carnaby Street gear IS the ultimate adventure.
I would like to see them make a 1/10 scale chevy truck with working doors and tail gate and hood
Fo sho
That thing NEEDS the Jurassic Park livery
Do ,you need to get into Fpv with drones ,You are definitely technical advanced in that area and would not have a problem. Beta flight cause you already deal with it , I believe either way, God bless take care stay safe
That's a great looking Jeep, with it being a hard body it's the sort of thing you put a few figures in, full with tasteful accessories and cruise around the forest paths or coastal walk ways, it doesn't need to perform exceptionally as that's not really the point of it.
This is really cool. Growing up I had a CJ5. I'm just getting into the rc world it just sucks I can't afford something like this. I'd love something like this for fpv adventure
Looks great, SBGs one came with a 1060 and the seats were installed. So not sure why yours was so different.
What a great place to run. It moves so realistically, too.
From 15:00 on... This Driver....This Sound..... u nailed it
😅
Looks a great RC. Hard bodies do have a realistic look and catch the light just right . Well done Austin 😊👍
Tomley you are the best!!! You should get that Jono bloke to do promotional advertising for you. He's dead funny and handsome, you would be on to a winner!
Hahaha
Another cracking video by one of our top RC Reviewers Mr Tomley !! 🏆
Phil this certainly looks like an awesome truck that FMS have brought out, as always the attention to detail is fantastic & your in depth review of FMS products is top shelf just as all your other reviews are 👍🏼
Austin was never really after a 10 second car …. you have done him proud mate 👌🏼
But next time belt up Austin 🤣
Wow, looks like the old Tamiya YJ
Took me 20 hrs to get mine in this condition, wow!
Some of them jeeps are massive first for me to know this was only last week walking through Newcastle in one pulls up beside me a was in wow mode it was huge.
Being an AMC/jeep fan I really want one of these
They're selling it again without the upright 7 slot grille!
This makes me want to try this brand. I like the looks of this rig. Having an axial with a jeep hardbody might have to change up this next year
They certainly do make some good looking vehicles. And with a few tweaks, this will make a really nice truck
They are listed for sale on the FMS website .
I'm from Michigan and can say jeeps really are a thing that happens, alot, I had my first cj when I was 13
Good camera work with some nice close-up shots, and good narration leaving an overall great review of this new RC Jeep!
The Mashigan scales out to almost exactly 1/7 scale. The real '80s Jeep Wrangler was a fairly small vehicle.
Pretty nice.. you have really nice area out there where you live wherever it is to run all sorts of trucks. Nothing like that where I am
Yes, this place is really good. Nice in the Summer months as well
Definitely needs a bit of shock tuning or they're underfilled. It seems odd the seats wasn't in it almost like it was rushed out the door and if that's the case I bet the shocks are only full too.
Yes, a little tuning and it’ll be decent!
Again appreciate you sharing great video love it, I’ll watch for the next one
YES. FMS cars just keep getting better.
I want the box... that's mighty fine packaging 👍
That is really great to make a Jurassic Park Jeep in 1:10. 😁
Hopefully we see more videos Phil of this. Looks sweet
Morning Tomley!! 0944 here in Arkansas USA!! Thanks for the vid Tomley!! I watched rc girls review last night but she didnt run it at all unless I missed that part somehow. It's really cool and really big I know a bunch of jeep drivers that would love to have one!!!
I think she put 2 videos up. No driver though… 😉
Chuck mashigan was a car designer and is somehow menshioned to be involved with the original jeep model.
Great Name. Possibilities for naming unlicensed models 😅😂
Got it from make it RC.
Yes… good name choice 👌😎
The local football team works in customs on their days off.
Yes haha
We buy those tires from injora and it's cool they come premounted on beadlock rs
I used the same unbranded tires and they work just fine have the price of the real ones
You got pretty brave in the end there without good shoes. Also, Austin seems to be right for that body. The "headrest" on those seats aren't great but he is taller than they are.
Cool Jeep there, nice new RC, looks cool and scaled. I like this review and test drive with driver 👍🤠
Now they need to come out with an Ohio State themed truck! Michigan is going down today in college football. O-H!!
I think he's a good size. He drove well!
if I had the ability to make this into a jeep Renegade from the early 90's i would order it immediately
That would be awesome
if i got one of these, i'd re-paint the body and save for some rc4wd rims and tyres just for a more personal touch
very impressive in action
👌
I’ve read that the inventor of the yj last name is Mashigan idk. Yeah Wikipedia chuck Mashigan. The hobby wing 1040 works well with five slot motors and low gearing
Yes, I’ve seen that now… cool name!
Just ordered mine off Ali express. Little expensive but should be here in a month
I’m very interested in ordering one from Ali Express also. Can you let me know how they are as a seller?
Update as of Feb 2023. Money was refunded and multiple sellers advise they are waiting on shipment. So 🤷
@@aheike35 damn that's lame :/ let me know if you find another source for one
Yeah definitely needs a driver, also a junkyard dog yeah, I’ve been eyeballing it but I’m just gonna wait and see if they come out with a different color. Like a black one would be awesome
The whine of that ESC is stuck in my ears after watching this
Wow I'm very impressed. I wasn't to phased by it originally when it was rumoured/initial images released but having seen it running its going almost top of my wants list. Sure, needs some slight changes and upgrades, but overall its a very capable little big machine. Wouldnt expect anything else from FMS/RockHobby. I think what I most like is the different body styles. Roof on for winter running, roof off for summer running and roll cage removed for that round-the-farm look!
I'm from Michigan the box alone makes me want to buy it.
Got one ordered 😀 😍 cam not wait for it too come wow love it 😍 definitely going to camo it and put a 1080esc and scale wheels and tires 😀 👍
Another great video got me more excited 😊
Nice. I have a full scale 87.
94 here!
I have the same land cruiser and just saying, its really big for 1/10, I have scx10 and element rc Knightrunner and they are much smaller in comparison. I think they are closer to 1/8
Love to choice of music 🎉😂 keep up the good work man but I have one request, my request is Can you please review the Carisma SCA-1E F-150?
Should have been wearing you seat belt Austin 🤣 . It looks well set up for that type of driving. Think the shocks actually make it look fairly accurate. Sorry Phil but I was kinda hoping it would get stuck at the end of vid 😅
Haha, I seat belts… what kind of scale truck is this! 😅
My Wife looked at my trainers and asked what I’d been doing all day haha
Looks amazing would get one of these
😎🤘
I love the look of these Jeep. It's a shame we cannot order from FMS direct and we have to wait till CML get them. I ordered one this morning thinking of using your code and the order was cancelled and refunded.
Really? I’ll check with FMS what then issue is and let you know
@@TomleyRC in the email they said that they have an arrangement with CML and will not post to the UK
@@darkcrawleruk that's not good news. It's never been an issue before, and nothings been said to me about it. Hopefully they can sort something out!
@@TomleyRC hopefully cause now we have to wait till CML get it in stock. Loved the video as always mate. Look forward to seeing you again at the next event with the Bedford guys!!
