My PHOLOURIE Recipe | Fried Street Food Around The World | Trinidad
Hope you guys enjoy this pholourie making video. Please note, some recipes use split peas but I personally prefer without it but of course, you can decide which you like more. - Хобби

Hiiii if u have to use split peas powder to this recipe how much would be recommended?
Gonna try this version as we on lockdown and i don't have any split peas...
Update: recipe is a winner!... pholourie came out nice and light...I ain't no star in the kitchen...just follow everything in the video...and the seasoning is the KEY...be generous...the only thing it makes a small portion so if you greedy like me i guess double it up lol...
Lol I’m happy to hear that! Hmm moving forward I should try to mention/make a note of the yield from the measurements I use so others can know beforehand.
Great job Jenna mouth watering

Hi I tried this recipe today but what I want to know is why when pulling apart the mixture it was kind of stringy was it that I didnt mix it soft enough?
Hey! Enough water probably wasn’t added. How did the it come out after frying? Was it soft or hard?
One of my favorite

@@JennaGTheHijabiTT Thanks however I am not on either of the two. 😞
No grind dhal?
You can add it if you wish but I prefer without it
Look. real. good....
Looking good girl.
How much cup water ?
just enough to get a thick paste...1/4 cup - 1/2 cup on average but can vary...add slowly until you get that slightly thick paste...
Turmeric or haldi
Why you calling turmeric saffron?
Because it's called so in the Caribbean. Even the Europeans called turmeric Indian Saffron or other such a names
So normal it's made with pholourie is made with flour and grind peas
That's flourie not phulourie
This is quite delicious....but you are free to add split peas to yours if you like. Thanks for watching
