Hi Mom, Thanks for the recipe and your video! This is the first recipe that has worked for me. I've tried other recipes which has large amounts of yeast, resulting in a really greasy pholourie. I used an ice cream scoop for the batter, not perfectly round like yours, but good enough for me. Thanks again!
@@natalieb7963she is well, however just occupied with her new grandchild! But I can attest that she's still cooking up a storm, and teaching the lil one how to, too! Hopefully more vids to come in the future 😊
🤤 I can taste it.... so hungry🤤.... I'm so glad I found your channel you just got another daughter thanks for the lesson Mom 😘 I will do it on my own & will make you proud 🙂
You're quickly becoming my favorite for Indian delicacy. You sound like I'm in the kitchen with a loving gran, the receipt is right here and you make things straight forward and easy. We fix any problem as we go along cooking. Do Sada please. Can't get mine to swell...
you can omit the dhal powder completely and it will still taste the same, just use all flour and the same seasonings and spices. Let me know if you try it out!
Hi Moms... Your recipe looks really straight forward and delish... Can I use permentos instead of the hot pepper? If yes, would it change the original flavor of the polourie drastically? Can you pls advise? Thanks
Hi! Yes! you can use pimentos instead of hot pepper, it won't change the taste at all! just heat level, you can even omit it completely and just use garlic if you prefer. Let me know if you try it out!
@@momstrinicooking4449 thanks so much for your reply. Can I use this recipe WITHOUT the split peas powder? Thanks so much. I'm trying to make a dollar for my family as we are all in lock down God willing.
It really depends on the temperature where you live, start with half the amount and then add until you're happy with the consistency of the dough. Where I live is not very warm so it does take that exact amount of water
I never learned how to cook from my mom. But now I miss her cooking so much. I am excited to try your recipes.
Moms this was an awesome simple video, love the split peas powder in it.

I am going to try and make this. Where I live in Florida it’s hard to get a Trini to make Trini style polourie.
Ah love it, I love the stone too🙂
the stone I got at a beach over 30 years ago in Trinidad, it's my daughters favourite!

Im so glad i found your channel,
Hi mom you did everything just fine but normally I use oil on my hand instead of water to put the dough in the oil 🤣😂💯🇹🇹❤️love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️love it.
Thanks for the tip
I was thinking the same because when the water hits the oil, it splashes. For me anyway.
Great recipe, please for trini style fry rice
Sure 😊 I can do that one day!
Thank you
Yummy, I usually use 2 spoons 🤦🏽♀️🤭😂 but watching your technique with your fingers against the bowl, looks so easy must try next time, thank you

Hi! yes it can! just omit the powder and continue following the recipe as usual.
How are u getting the phoulorie in such circular balls Damnnnn
I promise if you follow the method, after a few tries it will become so easy to do!
I enjoy your videos
thank you!
Hi mom. Could you please make a kitchori recipe? 💖
I want to use this recipe. I'm just curious how much does it yield? Like how many people can this recipe serve?
I would say it could make approximately 100 medium sized balls, it just depends on the size that you want to make them.
@@momstrinicooking4449 Great! Thank you so much for your help. I'm going to make it today 😊
How do you make the mango and tamarins chutney? Please make it.
I'll make a note of it to add to my list of video to make! thank you!
Is it Saffron powder or Tumeric - there's a big difference.
Tumeric powder, the cheaper one. Most turmeric powder has saffron in it but it is not pure 100% saffron. It's just for the colouring.
How much does this recipe yield?
Depends on the size you're making, I make approximately 100 with this recipe.

@@AstralPrincess yes! absolutely just omit it completely, and add water slowly, you will need a little less! let me know how it turns out

Who else is/was touching up their dough wondering if the texture is right?
it takes time and practice, many years for me, to get it right!
Anyone tried it i found the water to much
