    Hi Mom, Thanks for the recipe and your video! This is the first recipe that has worked for me. I've tried other recipes which has large amounts of yeast, resulting in a really greasy pholourie. I used an ice cream scoop for the batter, not perfectly round like yours, but good enough for me. Thanks again!

    If you don't have dhal powder for the phoulorie can you use dhal and how much of it with the flour?

      you can omit the dhal powder completely and it will still taste the same, just use all flour and the same seasonings and spices. Let me know if you try it out!

    Hi Moms... Your recipe looks really straight forward and delish... Can I use permentos instead of the hot pepper? If yes, would it change the original flavor of the polourie drastically? Can you pls advise? Thanks

      Hi! Yes! you can use pimentos instead of hot pepper, it won't change the taste at all! just heat level, you can even omit it completely and just use garlic if you prefer. Let me know if you try it out!

      I would say it could make approximately 100 medium sized balls, it just depends on the size that you want to make them.

    Is it Saffron powder or Tumeric - there's a big difference.

      Tumeric powder, the cheaper one. Most turmeric powder has saffron in it but it is not pure 100% saffron. It's just for the colouring.

      It really depends on the temperature where you live, start with half the amount and then add until you're happy with the consistency of the dough. Where I live is not very warm so it does take that exact amount of water
