Palettes are hard. I feel like buying a palette is an act of love... you have to be emotionally invested in enough of the colors to make a decision to buy the whole thing.. I rarely get rid of palettes. (Is that weird.... yeah probably weird)

I have to say, even though you didn't get rid of much relative to the size of your collection, I really applaud you for trying! I have been keeping up with you and for someone who isn't a makeup minimalist, I think you're doing a great job in these decluttering videos. I bet it feels really good to get rid of things you're not using and enjoying so that you can focus even more on the things you kept and love.

You may have felt disappointed by your declutter but honestly, I felt like it was one of the best I've seen. This to me indicated that you are thoughtful about your purchases. You don't have much to declutter because you're careful to buy things you truly love. I think that's a super healthy way to be.

Hey Michele, (in the video you mentioned the Natasha Denona Palettes are fragile) you can try to place a tissue on the shadow side in the palette, and then make sure the palette closes properly(the tissue affects the magnet a bit but it's manageable), I always travel with mine like this and it never breaks haha, for more security on international flights, I would put it between a shirt or a sweater if possible. This method works with all sorts of pallets, Hope this helps!
So fun to see all your palettes! If I bought everything I ever wanted I think our collections would be very similar. Mine is a lot smaller but you have just about everything I have. I'm on a no buy this year, but am definitely interested in some of the Il Mackiage and Chantecaille palettes in the future.
I love my Kevyn Aucoin Legacy palette! If you have not tried the Viseart Editorial Brights yet it is a lot of fun! I think you did well. It’s difficult to get rid of large palettes! I’ve been getting rid of so many of my small ones lately. Have a fab weekend!

The Mac in the flesh is my ideal color story. That chantecaille cool palette and the Laura mercier neutral-coolish...OMG that’s absolutely stunning! I don’t like warm tones much and they don’t compliment my skin at all so I never buy palettes but those...wow
I depotted the large Marc Jacobs pallette you decluttered and made 3 groupings for the shadows, into warms, cools and light/browbone colors. Now I can visualize looks whereas before I was lost on how to use them. I damaged 3 of the shadows slightly because I am a klutz, but they came right out with a small spatula without heating the pan or anything.

One of the things I love so much about your channel and that shows clearly in these videos is that you don’t have the same 200 palettes from the same 6 or 7 brands that 90% (or more) beauty RUclipsrs have. You keep things you love regardless of whether they were limited edition which MAKES SENSE as your collection should be for YOU TO ENJOY - we can still love watching you wear them and recreate a similar look without being able to run out and buy that exact thing! It seems disingenuous to me when creators act like no one wants to see LE stuff.... many of us probably have those items! Rant aside (lol) would you please list the colors you have in your Chantecaille palette? I love the color story you put together in the full eye palette. Finally, the Adept two sided palettes fit the new MUFE shadows perfectly. I have lots of the previous circle pans and supplemented with the new matte colors in square pans. I use one Adept palette for both - round in one side, square in the other and voila, frustration gone! 😊

Wait until Muse Beauty does one of their sales again. I believe the last one was in Aug and they have it once or twice a year. Typically they offer 2 of the 12 pan Viseart palettes with 3 Esum eyeshadow brushes for $128 and 2 of the Viseart Theory palettes with a brush for $72. It’s a much better price than any of the Sephora sales especially if you’re looking to buy more than 1 palette

I just can’t “move on” from the Tartelette in Bloom - I have plenty of palettes but I really don’t know why, except that I love to have them, but if I could only keep one, it would be the Tartlette - I have brown eyes & I’ve just never been too adventurous with color ! Oh I was so sad to get rid of my NARS Sarah Moon palette. I bought it 100% for the gorgeous packaging, but I thought the shadows were terrible. I don’t like that formula of NARS at all.

I'm actually surprised that you got rid of more than three palettes because from watching your videos, it seems you are really level-headed about eyeshadow palettes and only get the ones you suspect you will like. Loved the video and I'm looking forward to the next.
I wish I had the guts (or just someone to donate it to) to get rid of my KVD palettes. Shade and Light was also the first thing I bought when I started getting into make-up, then I bought Saint and Sinner. I don't like her either (personality and attitude-wise), more importantly, her mattes aren't bad, but Saint and Sinner was just a big waste of money and I didn't even have that much money when I bought it... I always get frustrated when I reach for her palette, the quality isn't great and I am not invested in the brand anymore. Sigh. At least there's you helping me look out for things I might actually enjoy having. For instance, I absolutely love Guerlain Electric Look palette and I watched your review on it when I was considering this buy. Thanks, Michele!

I don't like her either (personality and attitude-wise), more importantly, her mattes aren't bad, but Saint and Sinner was just a big waste of money and I didn't even have that much money when I bought it... I always get frustrated when I reach for her palette, the quality isn't great and I am not invested in the brand anymore. Sigh. At least there's you helping me look out for things I might actually enjoy having. For instance, I absolutely love Guerlain Electric Look palette and I watched your review on it when I was considering this buy. Thanks, Michele!
