This actually makes me appreciate my tiny makeup collection even more.
Jeez, thats a lot of lipstick. If I were you, I would stop storing these in big bins. Because they will fill up again. Smaller containers or drawers would be better. And keeping PR collections apart and testing them first (in a video) and chosing the colours, before putting them in your collection. I can't wait for the next part. Good Luck.

maybe add part 4 in which you go through what you decided to keep and see if there are any dupes across different brands and with that you can do a final look if you want to keep all of the repeating shades ?

Is there a reason you keep them organized by brand instead of color? I think you had a ton of red-orange and peachy dupes that you could narrow down if you kept them all together and compared!
She said that she gets confused with so many options kept together, so she kept them according to brands, easier to store and you get to see the shades better

I usually prefer decluttering lip products by shade and finish rather than by brand, since in my day to day life that’s how I pick which ones I wear as well. That way I don’t have too many duplicates of a shade I like

I agree. I think what she did is good as a first pass, but then you could definitely go through again by shade and get rid of a lot more after seeing similar shades. Granted, she did already get rid of a lot.
I like doing it the way she did - idk I'd personally rather have multiple lipsticks in the same shade with different forumlas/packaging as long as they're the colors I wear all the time, than one of each of a bunch of different colors. Just depends what you want in your collection!

i appreciate how thorough you’re being with these videos. i love declutter videos, they’re satisfying & motivating, but also super helpful when you’re being this thorough and showing a lot of the shades. i don’t like declutters where people go ‘declutter with me today’ and you’re watching a sped up time lapse of them cleaning & then you only see the finished results, defeats everything watching a declutter does for me.
i think you should maybe organize your lips by color/finish so that your can see how many of the same color you have?

I'd love to see two things (1) KEEP ALL THOSE HOURGLASS LIP STYLOS (2) Challenge yourself to compare the lipsticks you are keeping bc a lot of those looked the same with the same formula... but that might be asking too much
I'd also love to see you do one part of it livestream! / livestream you going through the process of creating any video so we can actually see the whole process and then compare it to the video you post... would be cool to see!

*Jamie Paige keeping red liquid lipsticks and nude bullet lipsticks for 34 minutes straight* I love these videos and this one especially was great. That Maybeline globe trotter is a colour I've been searching for forever, so you just saved me from spending 60 bucks at a bite lip bar to get it made.
After you declutter, maybe you can test out new ways of storing your collection so that you will get better use out of all the lippies! I understand why you would keep them in bins because you have so many and its an efficient way to hold a lot of them, but I would imagine when you have them stacked on top of each other and put away, you would be less likely to reach for them because you can't really see everything that you have. Maybe if you laid them out in shallow drawers or got some of those spinning lip tower things! Just an idea!
If you receive PR and know ahead of time that you're not gonna use the shade, maybe don't even use/swatch it and just donate it or put it in a giveaway
Question : Some of the lip products looked untouched / unswatched. Why did you swatch them and then put it in the giveaway pile ? Why didn't you leave them unswatched ?

I've pretty much decluttered 98% of all of my liquid lipsticks at this point. Glosses and cream lipsticks are my jam now!

Have you considered after your first round of declutters doing a second round? Like putting all of the red lipsticks together and choosing your favorites of all of them? I’m sure so many of them are the exact same colors but choosing the formula and color combo you like the most. Same with glosses and liquid lipsticks. Like all nude glosses, finding colors that are the same but only keeping the ones you love the MOST

Honestly you should go through what you kept and declutter from that pile.
You should know you single-handedly turned me on to Bite lip products. Chai and sugarcane are regulars. I love the feel and smell of them. I just wish the packaging was more effective; you HAVE to know the names as you cannot see the color.

Hi Jamie, If makeup/lipstick 💄companies watched your video, there are two takeaways for them:
1. It is important for lipsticks to be both numbered AND named. For those of us who have more than 2 lipsticks, we need to organize them in a space. Companies need to come up with names for 💄 💄that reflect their colours, ie: Rosewood, Flaming Fuchsia, Golden Nectar, or what have you. To continue, numbering lipsticks helps the client to organize their personal collection.
2. Cosmetic companies need to place product name and number on the bottom PLUS labeling products in a more visible way. I use small stickers to put the label 🏷 on the side of the tube (or any other containers that hold makeup products). Companies are missing the opportunity to advertise their company on their own products. There are many areas companies could put a beautiful label on the lipstick case itself to further enhance the product-even high end lipsticks in recognizable packaging would “Benefit” from a label on the tube.

Best declutter video ever, I usually find declutter videos quite boring but this was hella fun to watch and I've to get a look at my Maybelline corner next time I go to the mall, I've fallen for that first rusty shade. Thanks for creating more make up needs!!!❤❤
I LOVED this declutter!! You were so thorough going through and swatching and telling us the names and reasons you like things. THIS is the kind of declutter I want to see, I find the ones where they just speed over and only show snippets way less satisfying. Putting them all back in, showing what was decluttered, what you started with - all SO satisfying.
I look forward to part 2 and even 3 if there is a need - this format was great. The only slighttttt imperfection was the camera going out of focus on some lipstick swatches but that’s not something you can control

Love satisfying declutters! I just did this in my beauty stash and realized that I would use my lipsticks more if I stored them by color, rather than by brand or by finish (glosses, bullets, etc).
I like seeing you go through each item! I like hearing your specific feedback when you decide to declutter or keep. I hope you continue to do your declutters this way.
This was so great! Really want to see you stand up the bullets that will stand so that you can see the colour/number when you look at the basket and then you'll be able to find what you're looking for so easily!

I was so worried you weren't going to have any cool tones or dark lipsticks left until you did the drugstore and the Bite bins!! I recently decluttered my collection and feel so much happier now as i am using so much more than I was before as I know what I have. I decluttered all my old Bourjois rouge edition velvets and ALL of my lipglosses (about 10) apart from my absolute favourites!

I almost bought another lipstick this evening after watching this video while I was out shopping - I'm intrigued by some of those CoverGirl nudes - but then I thought about how you said Bite Beauty lip products go bad faster and I definitely have tonnes of those (and others!) I recently decluttered a TON of liquid lipsticks because I just plain suck at applying them. I prefer sheer formulas like colourpop ultra blotted lips or tinted balms and things like that.

Woww, the biggest collection I've ever watched from a RUclipsr! 😍 I love lipsticks as well but I just decluttered my own from 40 pcs to less than 20 pcs and it was quite hard. I imagine being you 😅 I can't wait for the next part 2 and 3 and so on from you! 😘
