Good review! I ended up buying an Elite Direto. Seemed the best value for money with more power and more elevation simulation than the zwift hub at a cheaper price. 2300w and 23% grade, there's no way I'll outgrow this one.

Back when I had bought a think rider trainer. It was half the cost of and western trainers. Thanks to the Chinese trainers, the prices have dropped. The only problem I had with my trainer, was the frame cracking. For me it was a inconvenience, because I could fix it. Other than that, I had no complaints. I don't do low cadence training. So I haven't experienced your problems.
Would I recommend it. No and I haven't. The reason is, having to fix it , price of competitive trainers and have to deal with suppliers on the other side of the word and companies that don't seem to mind, to sell none tested products to their costumers.

Do you think the power is acurate? Between your power meter on bike and the power from smart trainer

we need more appearances from your white cat. As silly as it sounds, quirks like that (as irrelevant to the video content as they techincally are) do tend to appeal to people (who desont' love cute cats??) and *may* help viewer retention etc if the cat feratures in other videos even if it's just sitting on your desk purring. Just something to consider,( not kidding Jarrod!).
I'm actually mildly curious what your work is in China, but....that's prob just me being a bit nosey. No doubt some tech industry I'd imagine. Anyway, have a great day, cheers.

Hey pal, sorry for the late reply, with Christmas etc I've not been keeping on top of replying to the comments!
Good point about the cats, I'm actually returning home to England next month, so the white cat will be joined by some ginger and black cats!
Not in tech, I'm actually a teacher. But hoping for a career change soon!

@@JMower good stuff Jarrod, I hope you had a fun Christmas. a Brit friend of mine just bought a Cannondale CAAD13, brand new. Fine machine. We went for a 27kms ride and I *did* keep up on my ancient MTB but....I had to put in a lot more effort to match his speed. As was expected! I hope to get maybe something like a Triban RC120 sometime in 2024.
