  • Tom Dwan has recently been gracing our screens again as he is battling it out in more high stakes cash games!
    In this hand there is a $10,000 bounty from each player if you can win the poker hand with 72o. Well if you give Tom Dwan 72o you just know he is going to run a huge poker bluff to try and win a massive pot.
    On the other side of this poker hand is what makes this whole hand absolutely incredible. Rui Cao has just 87o and only has eight high! Who will win this massive $650,000 high stakes poker pot.
    He says he was going to call Tom Dwan had Tom shoved the river, do you think this is true? Had he made a sick live read that Tom Dwan was just trying to win the $10,000 bounty? Let me know in the comments below!
    This hand analysis was part of my Weekly Poker Hand series. I have been covering a poker hand every week for over 8 years!

      Huge stack and when i called with 72o and did it to river ;)) easy shove in the River :)
      Rui cao told that if Tom shoved at river, he would called. But i think if Tom shove, Rui Cao snap fold. 78o too weak to show out, just can win a few combo make straight at flop @@
      I think pro player will play on board at the same this hand.
      But if i were Rui Cao, i would shoved at turn. Tom bet and i snap shove. I think Tom fold ;)) because he can't bluff anymore until Turn. That's why he check at river and Rui Cao maybe guessed Tom had nothing. But maybe Tom has higher card than Rui Cao :))
      That was a incredible hand. Cheer for Rui Cao! In addition, river is K but if Tom shoved, Rui Cao called. I think it will be the best of best Hero Call in the Poker history :)

      What you have to understand is that Dwan strategically plays loose to get invited to games with big fish. If he played GTO, nobody would want them at their games. There was a story going around a decade ago that Dwan was the only pro these rich businesses men would allow to sit at their games

    Fascinating hand! I think Dwan messed up by raising the flop, because he has exactly zero reason to value raise on that particular board against a maniac. Being UTG in a loose, deep-stacked game also limits his value range substantially. A check back on the river would have been SICK!

    My little opinion is that Dwan gave up because too many combo could hero call him, even bottom pair. On the other side Cao toke no time to bluff-shove to represent the slow played ace. Him showing the bluff is nuts.

    I don’t believe his plan was to call a all in on river. His plan was to shove if Tom checked cause he believed Tom was full of shit. And fold if Tom shoved. Toms line here is him trying tell rui he has 55 only. If Tom had A5 or AQ he doesn’t checkraise flop. When rui just flats the turn like that it’s very strong he’s telling Tom he has all the AA, Qq, AQ. A5 Suited,AK. Which plays the exact same way rui did.

      @@tiagomota4734 Tiago, thanks for your personal attack. You really didn't understand what I said. I didn't say that I would do what Tom did at all. I would have been done after I was 3bet pre-flop. 7-2 is a suckers game. And out of position it's even was a dumb move! I only said if Tom was going to try to win, a check was useless. Despite what Cou said, calling a 200K shove would have been a huge risk for him with 8 high, even with 4-1 pot odds, 8 high is no good most of the time. For me the only play by Tom that made any sense the hand was his initial 3BB raise. Only idiots end up where Tom was, no wonder he went broke. It helps when you see both hands to be so sure of yourself. "My poker dream is real" what a load crap... get over yourself.

    • @jppagetoo
      @jppagetoo 2 года назад

      @@stt5v2002 Yep I agree, minimize his losses. It was the option he took. I would have avoided this whole mess. Calling the 3bet was probably his first mistake it left him without a bluff of broadway cards (which should be a 4bet). Check raising the flop was another mistake, for all the reason Jonathan gave. Betting the turn for 160K after that was burning money unless he was willing to take it to the river and put it on the test. He didn't, he checked! I can't think of any move he did that I would have except maybe the 3BB raise preflop. That has merit with the 90k reward. But call the 120K 3bet pre-flop? You are already behind the 90K reward, out of postion, and then only a weak call. Nope, not good poker.
