Math, physics and chemistry. You dive with this knowledge and newly acquired skills every day. If you don't have a gym membership, then you can start running on your own today. There is always something new to learn. Sharks are a minor concern. Think "barracuda."

Were you AD before you went Guard or were you guard straight out of the gate? I'm looking to go down the Guard SF path and just want to hear every perspective.

I was AD Navy first, Guard SF is special if you want to do it then just dive in (no pun intended).

    • @mirekpilsudski

haha I was wondering if it was a pun. Ya I'm thinking it's the best route. I've been spending alot of time on quiet professional and shadowspear absorbing as much information as I can. Seems like NG SF is a mix of former active duty guys and guys that just jumped right in based on what I've seen and heard. I'm just trying to hear as much as I can since the decision is so big.
Thank you for the fast reply and the help.

Right.. You spend 9 days in freezing ass water. That alone breaks you down. But do that with only 2-3 hours of sleep for 9 days..You will see how hard it is.. Not to mention sand up your ass. Hell their is sand everywhere.

People who don't want to move around a lot, live in another state not in there main base, have more fam time, and possibly get a 6 figure job. (You also have more of a say on your deployments.)
