I am always fascinated by the diving training of the SEALS. Every now and then I would experience it for real. I'm over 60, have been diving since 1983, but I've never experienced anything like that., My brother was a specialist diver during the GDR era. I would be very interested in what the trainers think when they train the students. I would be happy if someone contacts me who can help me further
This is a video of Navy 2nd Class Salvage Diver training, different than BUDS/Seal Training. I'm guessing that either they have relaxed the training or are not showing the full-blown testing required to pass Scuba. In my class in the late 90s they removed our mask, fins, tanks, knotted the regulator hose, and turned off the air valve and rolled us on the pool bottom! When they were done, we had to put ourselves back together and get ready for the next hit.
@@alanlewis8853 this isn’t 2C diver. That is a different course all together and starts with EOD/Dive selection in Great Lakes which is arduous.

Where was this filmed? I don't have any pics from when I went through on Coronado, so this was nice to see. My favorite part was the pre-attack game of ro sham bo with the Shark. Thanks for posting this.

I’m so happy I see a female I want to be a navy diver so bad and was kinda disappointed I’ve never seen a female but now that I have my hopes are high again we can do it too💚

They actually drowned my friend and had to resuscitate him. Then hitting him in the head causing him to go dead in one ear then discharging him with a disability they caused. Not a fan of the treatment of these men.

@@stckarma6673 doesn't mean they're weak. Some new Instructors that rotate in places sometimes go too far. I'm a USAF vet but I know of some MTIs that were fired because they were unprofessional and verbally abusive past their allotted threshold

Who doesn't whether civilian or recruit try to push themselves for long winded under water laps. But with that what is your experience with shallow water black outs with your recruits, or is black outs extremely rare or a myth?
