    one thing you need to be careful of is when removing the carb off the rod you dont turn the rod much or youll break the Governor blade which unfortunately on these are Made of Plastic and are not longer made by Briggs and Stratton, so you have to find an old snowblower that uses that , I had to do that with mine and you have to remove all the plastic panels to get to it,, its held on with one screw,, Just so people know to be really careful on taking the rod off a lot of the older CCR models like the 2500 and 3500 have the same blade governor , because if you dont fix it your machine will way over rev like crazy

    Your instructions were easy to follow with a great video. I successfully replaced the carburetor and it started on the first pull. I do have a question. The motor seems to be running at a much higher rpm. Any reason for concern or is something sticking in the throttle linkage?

    • @BlakesGarage1
      @BlakesGarage1  Год назад

      Possibly sticking, otherwise can be adjusted by bending the tab attached to the spring on the throttle linkage. Confirm that the linkage/throttle butterfly moves freely

    Does it have some kind of a high idle when engaging paddles I got a new carb

    • @BlakesGarage1
      @BlakesGarage1  7 месяцев назад

      No idle adjustment screw if thats what your asking. If its running too fast, you can bend the metal tank holding the governor spring in place. Its mounted to the carburetor mounting bolt. A looser spring will be a slower rpm.

      Thanks appreciate the feedback and I've already done the adjustments, actually replaced everything that is replaceable and works fine, it was given to me and trying to sell ,like new

    Great video. I replaced my old leaking carb without any issues. The blower starts on the first pull but then quits after a second or two like its not getting any gas. I checked the fuel line and have moved the black knob attached to the spring/linkage but that didnt help. Any ideas?

      I have primed it but I don't see any gas going thru clear primer line....no suction. Primer bulb is new

    • @BlakesGarage1

      @toddmathis7484 two things to try, can you keep it running with continually priming or by keeping the choke on

    • @toddmathis7484
      @toddmathis7484 7 месяцев назад

      @@BlakesGarage1 I tried keeping keeping choke on...no change. The primer doesn't seem to be sucking any gas.

    Should oil/fuel ever be coming out of the exhaust?

    • @BlakesGarage1
      @BlakesGarage1  8 месяцев назад +1

      It's not uncommon to see some oil and or heavy smoke on the first startup of a 2 stroke engine but it should go away after things warm up. Fuel out of the exhaust would not be normal.

    What would cause mine to be puking all the gas out of the bottom of the carb?

    • @BlakesGarage1
      @BlakesGarage1  Год назад +1

      Stuck needle. You can try a couple gentle whacks on the carburetor bowl with a plastic handle of a screwdriver. Sometimes that will free the needle.
