From one disabled parent to another. You are a hero! I really needed this video tonight! It’s quite soul destroying to be slowly ostracised by society over a period of years, but when it starts to affect your kids it really gets you down. My husband and I and my eldest son are all blind and we have two sighted twins. Life is wonderful! Thank you for your inspiration today!

Thank you for sharing your story so beautifully and sharing with us that the magic ingredient to parenting isn't about your physical abilities, it's about love!

This is a powerful talk. I learned from it and will incorporate it as an assignment in the annual session I do for public health students.

    Brilliant 🙏🏼
Taught me on things like abelism that I already know plenty about. The further honest share of it internalized, and 'simple' examples..
    Poignant
    Powerful👍🏼

    Why is closed captioning off?

lmao ironic. A video about ableism and there are no captions for the deaf.

Could you turn on the closed captions please? I'd love to share this with some students but need it to be accessible.
