    I am seriously considering doing a 6 x 12 conversion. Thanks for the ideas.
    I couldn't picture your bed/seating setup. Maybe next time show the three different seating/bed setups you described and hold the camera further back to provide an overview. RUclips is a visual medium, and the best way to capitalize on that is to actually demonstrate what you are describing.

    Really like the cargo tiny home Pat. The fan and the windows are a must for hot summers. You gave me some ideas with your PVC using it for your solar panels. Well thought out. What I like most about it is it’s size. When and if it ever comes down to having to leave it all behind and go that’s a perfect shelter you can hide almost anywhere. Great job.

      Thanks Todd..stay aware & vigilant...I have 2 more 100ah lithium batteries coming in soon for a total of 400ah ( equivlant to 8 )lead acid at a fraction of the weight.. We will be able store some serious power off-grid. .

    I just found your channel and came across your update first, so came to see the original build. I gotta say, you two have answered so many questions I've had as I get ready to go full time in a 6x12 cargo trailer, pulled by a mini van with my 4 legged best friends. Weight is a huge concern, as is money. As a 65 year old female, I had so many doubts, but thanks to finding your videos, I got this! Your info as well as your build is Outstanding! Thank you and enjoy the journey!

    Appreciate the comments. We spent some good time on this, mostly last winter. Did 6 or 7 trips spontaneously all over. It the best way to go, that way you dont have any pre assumed ideas not to do it. Just do it!! We did a lot of trips late night showing up at midnight. Sno parks- off grid spots. It is so adventurous doing it this way! Ready for more soon!
    Had a real challenge with the Solar but watched a lot of everyones videos learning how to do it. Especially Will Prowse DIY Solar videos were so helpful. More video on their way! ... Happy Trails to all!!

    I noticed in a fast shot, that you have rounded corners. My older cargo trailer does also but I'm having trouble covering the incoming wires easily so those wires can still be worked on. I'm an older gal so any suggestions?

    You blocked off the standard air vents that come from the factory. Would it be better to have some small bit of air circulation? Mine gets so hot when just parked in the driveway, not being used. Nice build. Did you film any while installing the insulation and windows?

    Would it be feasable to add permanent tanks under the floor instead of portable tanks under the sink?

  • @johnm2482

    Looks like a great build.
    Don’t think I have seen a 6x12 with the bed in the front. Is the front bed for one person or is it big enough for 2? Also is the toilet a camp style or something else?
    Also can you tell me how thick your insulation is? And what material did you use for your walls? Finally if you had it to do over again, what would you change if anything?
    Sorry for all the questions. I have an old 6x12 that I would like to convert.

    • @loveourplanetadventures7306
      @loveourplanetadventures7306  4 года назад

      The bed fits 2 comfortably. Its a 2 piece rv cassette toilet. We used 1" RMax insulation in the walls & 1/2 inch in ceiling. And lastly, we would change nothing , my wife designed it. Hope you subscribe, we added more to it since this video .Good luck with the 6x12 build.

    Where did you get those black racks? I just bought a new 6x12 tandem trailer. Had to order it and it took 6 months to build it due to material shortages. Got it two days after Christmas. All I've done so far is built a 7'x30" bed and bought a battery and two lights.

    What type of batteries do you use? Do you keep them inside? Any concern about emitted gasses from charging? I'm not sure the physics of it. Thanks!

    • @loveourplanetadventures7306
      @loveourplanetadventures7306  3 года назад

      I used lithium batteries. I have 200ah but I have 200 more ah coming on Thursday so 400ah total & 700 watts of solar.. As far as gases ..no they have BMS ( battery management system) on them to protect from uneven voltage ect. Never had a problem. They should never be discharged or charged heavily below freezing. I know that. They charge fast..are light & last 1000s of cycles. Under 50% they do lose their juice fast but will not harm them diwn to 0. We will have a new video soon on all the uprades..stay tuned...

    Hello, I have a couple of suggestions. Number one, please don't move the camera soo fast; makes you dizzy. Number two, it'd be nice if you would have started out with a panoramic view of what your inside trailer looked like instead of a micro view of every small little thing.

  • @ross1116
    @ross1116 2 года назад +1

    I couldn’t see your layout well because of the way you focused the camera so close to everything. You were worried about details like the clad aluminum thickness but your interior had almost no detail like it was tossed together in a single weekend lol.
