Undo negative terminal first. :-) My favorite instruction. Mine is a '02 1.8Zetec Focus. Couple of known issues. Thanks for your enthusiasm and patience.
the 2003 focus uses t10s for the big instruments speedo ect..just did it on ours it also uses t5s for the warning lights...if u are going with leds, the hardest part is getting some that are bright enough and also getting ones that radiate light evenly so u dont end up with bright and dim areas..biggest surprise was that just becuz u put leds in there, doesnt mean it will be brighter..there are Alot of crap leds out there that are worse than normal lights!
My 2003 Ford Focus has issues with the instrument panel. The fuel, speedometer, temperature, trip counter and odometer has stopped working. All other instrument panel lights are working. This has happened in the past where they are all working and then stop working. I took my car for a repair over a year ago and was charged a lot of $$. I’m not even sure what or how they repaired it. Your video is very helpful to take out the instrument cluster. Do you have instructions on how to repair this issue? I understand this is a common issue with the earlier Ford Focus. The Ford company does not have a replacement for the instrument cluster. The only other replacement option is a used one from a parts yard, but then you have the issue of programming it to the car. I would appreciate any input or suggestions from you. Thank you! 😺
Ok so the correct bulbs are 194 (big ones), E74 for small ones. A 74 is thicker but can be force in. It cannot be forced in for the climate control lights though which must use E74.
@@dubon6372 Its a strange one b/c of the thickness.. I bought a whole box now so I have extras and replaced even working ones to extend maintenance life. Used LEDs where I could.. the car is now used only for winter :) What year is yours? mine is 2001 w/ 270k km
Do you have to disconnect the plug? What about the mileage of the car? I assume it’s still stored when you plug it back in? I have a light out on my rev counter (on the 3k-4k rpm bit). Can I just change the right t10s bulb seen at the end of the video?
Hi, I have a Ford Focus 2001, and only one of the three bulbs on the speedometer lights. So where can I find these bulbs? Are the bulbs universal or should I look for original bulbs for Ford Focus? I tried to look on Ebay, but I did not find anything for Ford Focus 2001. Thanks!

removing the upper steering column cover is unnecessary. I've literally have forgotten about it and I didn't break anything. My old bulbs were all blackened and no wonder why I couldn't read the cluster at 4:00 AM in the morning.
