- Saturday sure was fun! I visited my buddy Alex again up at Puyallup for a day out on the rails. (We celebrated his birthday also, happy birthday Alex!) The line wasn't as busy as we would've liked it to be, but BNSF sure did deliver. We saw multiple grain and manifest trains, one of which was Crew 2, a Tacoma-Seattle transfer job. It had awesome motive power (at least for us foamers). One of BNSF's two standard cab B40-8's happened to be leading Crew 2 that day. It came by blasting that awesome RS3L Horn it has, breaking the almost 3 hour silence between trains.
We of course saw plenty of Amtrak Trains, including the Coast Starlight later in the evening.

Great Video!
Good catch Tom! Been wanting to see that B40 leading for awhile now.
Great compilation. Hats off to the two of you for waiting it out through the rain. And Happy Birthday, Alex!
Once we heard 563 leading Crew 2 on the scanner, nothing would stop us from catching it, rain or shine.
LOL! Awesome!
Wow a B40-8, lucky catch👍🏼
Excellent video
*sigh*, to be able to live out there
fabulous catches Tom
*How the heck did you get lucky enough to catch the B40-8 leading. I have no words*
