Who is Gilles Riou from Top Snow Travel?!

From just 2 years old until he was 15, Gilles was fortunate enough to visit his family-owned home at a ski resort in the French Alps called Valfréjus. Every school holiday, his loved ones and himself would leave their home in Paris and enjoy the atmosphere and excitement of this stunning mountain region. Commentator seemed to have a rather negative view on La Tania, buildings, gondala etc. La Tania is a terrific place to stay. Wide variety of skiing, easy access to other resorts. I have stayed there numerous times, can highly recommend it.

Yeah sorry about the negative remarks, it’s definitely a beautiful ski area. Not a big fan of the village though but each to their opinion of course 😊

If La Tania is a bit cheaper than Courchevel/Les Menuires/Meribel/Val Thorens, then I'd say, go for it, as you'll be able to easily access all of the resorts i've just listed (and Orelles as well), all on the same ski pass. And the links from resort to resort are seamless. This is a fantastic ski area. World-class in fact. Stay anywhere you can near there. Once you're on the slopes, you have hundreds of kilometres of runs on offer. It's staggering.

Yep, the 3 Valleys ski area has it all 🤩massive, diverse, seamless lift connections, slopes are so well maintained and snow guaranteed!

I agree with the previous comment. The Family have been going to La Tania for the last 20 years and it is great. Location is perfect, accommodation has lots of variety and the restaurants are really good. Beautiful runs down to the village also. We also highly recommend. I think the commentator is a bit of a snob.
