I know they call it their ‘opinion’ and I respect that, anyone’s allowed to like/dislike what you wish. However I do find it a little ignorent when they’re disregarding the talent of many DJs, often down to the fact they’ve just never heard of their name before. Why bother doing a festival line up review if you don’t know anyone who’s on the line up?
Hey Im an architect: and have painted loads of walls, with different variations of paint.Id say the easiest trubbleshootin finds 3 main culprits. 1. Moisture, either in the wall itself, and depending on the wall type and season, it could be an underlying real issue) 2. Cheep acrylic wall paint, could cause bubbles (and together with moisture its even worse) 3. BAD prepping: If the wall was not based, sanded, or cleaned beforehand, it could lead to bubbles. Grese-spots, uneven surfaces trapping air, layers of dust that, even covered, by paint, eventually loosen from the wall. HOPE some of this could help Ben. I've made loads of painting mistakes and it's a jurney of fucking up, and a science to get it right.

Yes! This 100%! They need to see the full live set with the extra 2 members, so much energy with the dancing and singing! There are two masked members who usually sit in the back drumming/making the production. So I believe when it’s just a dj set it’s usually just the masked members!
You know the ‘edm’ events you mentioned are literally the same event in different places!! they are nothing like a gabber event or a hardstyle event, hard techno, trance, old skool etc etc
@@poddy completely different crowd, if you do go to defqon or any the harder festivals realise the crowds are hugely protective of their scene & wont take kindly to being laughed at or having the piss taken, the intensity more like going into the wrong end at the football than to events like EDC or TL
I think you need to think of David Guetta and Calvin Harris as EDM which is a subcategory of dance music which is popular to its core, more like pop. Hence why they have large pay checks and have the big productions!
If you guys are going to a US fest again you should check out Bonnaroo in June. My favorite fest on the east coast. Next year will be my 5th time, something magical about that place. Cheers!
robs taste is so bizarre. trnsmt is my local festival and i think that lineup is utterly gash, i can't understand who the target market is for it. and it doesn't help that most local people are completely put off by the reputation trnsmt has, it's just full of drunken teenagers out to cause trouble, they don't usually even care about the lineup

on the whole turnstile controversy thing, a few years back when O2 Brixton got shut down Turnstile had to reschedule a gig there (I believe it was their only London show of the year), They refunded all tickets and ended up playing a show up north instead. so this years lineup feels like a bit of redemption to me, i was sorely dissapointed having my ticket refunded and not being able to see them that year

Sick new world cancelled due to the cost of the booking of Metallica and LP. There’s a RUclips bloke that done that review. Also Metallica and LP are touring the US around May time and playing at 4 day weekend festivals. And ticket prices are insanely expensive for a one day show in Vegas and it’s same with WWYF .

I think tbf dance music (I’m not calling it edm, sorry) is a massive genre and you tend to have to deep dive to find what you really like. There are loads of artists as it has a lower barrier to entry. I get the impression that most on the channel just don’t love the genre like that and that’s fine. Guitar music is my first love but I really love certain dance acts and genres such as dnb. Edit - I did WWWY this year and the travelling was a killer. I think this year’s lineup is no where as good for me personally. Just want to see Alexisonfire.

Pulp - only became famous in the 1990s after moving to London, they were part of the Camden scene, and Jarvis went to St Martins art college in London - so that's why. The Prodigy are a rave band from the 1990s, not EDM! 😂 Your all too young for Jodie Marsh, she was a glamour model and page 3 girl in the late 1990s. "Jodie Harsh" is a dj and drag act from the 00s making fun of her. They are really good these lineup podcasts!
There's two 'national' bands on that Rock am Ring lineup that would be TPDTV favourites if you gave them a chance. Beatsteaks were big during the mid/late 90s and 00s, very straight up rock with bits of indie and hiphop thrown in, they sing in English and cover a few Smiths songs. ZSK are a left wing punk band who sing in german but the live show has more energy than any guitar based band I've witnessed, you don't need to know the lyrics. That being said, you should check out Open Flair rather than going back to Rock am Ring. Slightly smaller but better.
With Chase & Status I think, unless it says "live" you're only going to get 1. They're such a popular act with a busy schedule, they could play 2 places at once doing it that way. I mean it was only one of them DJing their Boiler Room set! I've seen them numerous times and only when it's their tour, or announced as "Live" are they together. You don't need 2 people to Dj!
