It happened to me, but it was my daughter. This case has hit me personally. Johnny is brave to fight this because sometimes women and children are often believed without any kind of proof and the vitriol poured down on you is very corrosive and depressing. My daughter is on Ambers side which means she is still sticking to her story sadly. Amber will never stop and this may not be the end of things.

A court award like this takes decades to properly enforce, if ever. Delays, appeals, shell games with offshore money, she won’t pay a cent. Hollywood elites do t face criminal charges for something so blasé’ as perjury. Like it or not, she’s in the club, and doesn’t answer for her actions like the rest of us plebeians.
I think they put young juror's (20's & 30's) on purpose. Like someone said...today's youth look up to vile people like Amber. Many could identify with AH based on age, fame, looks etc. They could see her escapades/ drug use as a romp/adventure with an older, super famous actor …. and they wish it was them. The plaintiff team and defense team were allowed to research social media between court. It was the witnesses and jury members who were warned not to view the internet stuff.

I - and many people I know - watched this trial from beginning to end, understanding that it will have an effect on AMERICAN (U.S.) Jurisprudence in Civil cases, as a Precedent-setting, Landmark case for a very, very long time.
I don't know where you're from, and don't really care: if it's the U.S., you hang around with some very stupid people, and if from anywhere else, you know nothing about "people in the U.S., or what they will believe."
Both Depp and Heard are from the U.S. (Depp from Kentucky, Heard from Texas), and this is a U.S. case, being decided by a U.S, Jury.
Neither I, nor any of the people I know, believed A.H.from shortly after this began, and the preponderance of people on what has become the ACTUAL news in the U.S. - an amalgam of news sources, across a very broad spectrum of belief systems and sources, have also done excellent analyses of the actual evidence and testimony, and believe that Johnny Depp is, and should be, winning this case - in spite of the legal odds against him. A U.S. jury made up of what you apparently believe are stupid, gullible people, just found him the victor of his defamation suit.

That goes for the jury only. The jury members are the one who make the final decision and they should do so only on the evidence provided in the trial without any other influences. Thus it doesn't matter what the attornies know, what defndent or plaintiff know, what the judge knows or anybody else in the court room. They are not the one making the decision. The jury does. Based entirely on what was presented during the trial.

I think she was trying to appeal to the jury's sence of patriotism, and by extension, freedom of speech, although I don't think freedom of speech extends to the right to defame anyone.

Or words to that effect, pointing out the MORE THAN OBVIOUS FACT that Heard was ACTING - and, as always, unable to produce the matching tears. My x tried to get me fired, started a DFS claim against me regarding my son and went to my family. Justice prevailed but not before a lot of damage was done. There was a lawyer on Twitter that posted not too long ago about this case, stating that neither side of this case is perfect (uh, which case in history ever has had a perfect side?) And she stated both sides seemed unstable, and dishonest. Then claimed this was a case of misogyny. Johnny isn't perfect, but how do you not see this for what it really is with all the evidence? I'm sure glad that lady will never be my lawyer.

Something I realized, about the video in which she 'accidentally' released the whole thing -- IF Johnny was really the abuser she claims he is, that video wouldn't even exist. Because when he knocked her phone down when he realized she was recording, a real abuser would have taken her phone and erased the video before she could ever do anything with it. All he did was knock it down. Because he was understandably angry that she was recording him slamming cabinet doors. I really don't think it takes a genius to understand who was the abuser in this relationship. She's not very good at covering her tracks. Also, why would she release the full video for court when she only sent the incriminating part to TMZ? Why didn't she use the same exact part in court? Did she forget that she had trimmed it for TMZ?
I thought the same thing. I’m a DV survivor and if my abuser would have ever caught me making a tape of him he would have destroyed it the the device I took it on , then me. No way if Johnny was the abuser she claimed would he have seen her recording him then not destroyed the recording right then. It just doesn’t happen that way. Any DV survivor would tell you the same. No way are they getting away with recording their abuse when they are angry and upset without that recording being destroyed. No way in hell that happened.
I hope to God that justice is served, not only that Johnny’s name is cleared but that AH pays for her lies, her perjury and total manipulation in plain sight. I also hope that true women victims do not suffer as a result of this case.
