That story about the college students makes me think there are hidden homeless... not just the ones living out on the street, and I should be alert to see people who might be hungry, and not telling anyone. Also my reflection on people who say "eighteen and out"- which I heard some family members say to their kids- is that those kids did not do well in life and often ended up back at home with their parents years later. And I lived with my parents until I was 25 and did quite well later. I'm not rich, but I'm certainly not poor.

Thank you for always showcasing “cheap” but nutritious meals. I don’t always want to try them immediately, but keep them as an idea in the back of my mind. With the peanut rice, if you kept a bag of frozen mixed veggies on hand, you could add half up to a cup of that if you didn’t want to keep fresh carrots on hand.
These are awesome! In college I about starved to death. I only had a hot pot to cook with, no microwave or refrigerator. I lived on ramen, macaroni and cheese, with no milk or butter. Would just cook noodles then mix in cheese packet, tuna, cereal bars, and juice boxes. I lost a lot of weight, but I survived. These meals are very inventive and healthy. 😊
I would have to use honey mustard. I do not like yellow mustard. Whenever I go to Taco Bell I always take extra mild sauce. Then I use the packets when I make quesadillas.

Hello sweetheart! I go through surgery Wednesday my wound isn’t healing so they are placing a wound vac, please keep me in your prayers 🙏🏻 love your videos as always 🥰❤️
What a great video. I think it’s a genius idea to use peanuts as the protein in the rice. Keep up the good work. I was glad to see your video today, it cheered me up.
I wish I’d had some of these in college. I did ok though. I made “poor mans stew”, which is just ground beef, onion, carrot, potatoes, and a can of tomato paste mixed with water. And then of course salt, pepper, and other spices I had on hand. Also, if anyone wants to make green onions last a little longer, leave about an inch and a half or so at the bottom where the roots are. Put it in some water, and they grow back. Putting them in soil will make them grow back with better nutrients, but just water will still make them last at least a week longer!
The rice and ramen looked so good. And the stories about the students - so sad. 😔💔 My daughter will be starting college next year and I will do everything in my power to get her through and help her succeed. Tfs!
Your videos are such a joy to watch. I have implemented many of your recipes for a healthy, affordable remedy to eating out because of my hectic schedule. Your outer glow is only rivaled by your inner glow and you are especially radiant here. Thank you so much for sharing your channel, your history and YOU. :) Having said that, that peanut dish looks extra scrumptious.
I loved the bloopers at the end! I love this channel. I am not a cook by any means but I love how easy to understand and how easy it is to follow along with your videos. You’ve taught me so much. I was nearly moved to tears as you expressed your concern and with what your former classmates were going through. Homelessness is a horrific thing to experience and seeing your emotion as you talked about these classmates and the fact that you have poverty meals series on this channel speaks volumes to the kind warm and compassionate heart that you have towards the less fortunate and you are doing something better than just giving people handouts. If you give a man a fish he will eat for a day but if you teach him HOW to fish he could eat for a lifetime. That is what your channel represents to me and I have the utmost respect for you for this!! God bless you and your family ❤️❤️
What a beautiful empath you are, Mrs. Housewife...to care so deeply about that young man back in college; struggling and homeless. I like to think that today, he is hugely successful and paying forward all the kindnesses that were shown to him to others! College students or no, many people are struggling today; due to job loss as a result of the Virus, and could certainly use your great ideas for inexpensive, nutritious meals. I would love to see more recipes like this! Sometimes simplicity can be genius, like adding an egg or nuts, to boost protein! Great to see you, as always, and I pray you and your family are all doing well! Hugs, Pam
The story about the kid who lived behind the stairs breaks my heart. I know that there are some families that want their kids to move out at 18 but that seems so harsh when they still need to prepare for a job or career. Goes to show where there is a will, there is a way. I truly hope he became successful in his own right. He deserved much more that. I don't think kids going to college should be struggling just to have the basics like shelter and food. This is sooo sad.
Have watched all your videos and enjoy your creativity and how you budget-stretch while keeping health and nutrition in mind. Having lived in Philadelphia for many years, I thought I've caught a trace of a southeast PA accent. I enjoy the work that you do here.
Lived in England growing up and beans on toast was a staple. I always liked just a can of pork and beans (cold or hot) on med-dark toast. I like baked beans, too, but that was usually eaten as a quick dinner not breakfast. You can also sprinkle brown sugar on top of whatever bean you use.
I will definatley try this recipie. I eat my ramen with mushrooms, green onions , hot sauce and drop a couple eggs in. It gives a poached egg soft in the middle, so delicious and cheap ! I am so grateful that you share these type of dishes with all of us during these difficult times 💗!
Everything looks very tasty! My college go to meal was penne pasta mixed with pesto and Alfredo sauce with canned green beans and I still make it to this day!
Hello, Quaint! I'm back and your video popped up. I love pintos. NOT so sure about the mustard. I would do country gravy maybe? Of course, it's 78c to $1 for a starving budget (an extra to you I think). Never thought of mustard for breakfast. Liked the idea of egg and ground beef though. I love the fact as a woman, you're not ashamed to eat in front of your audience!!! You ROCK.
Brooks, thanks for coming back! If you like gravy that will work, or BBQ sauce -- whatever you like. A lot of people think the mustard idea is weird, but if you've ever had turmeric in a dish with beans, it has some of the same flavor notes. Thank you for the uplifting comment. I like to watch other people eat on RUclips. I try to keep it as ladylike as possible, hahaha.
Thank you for this! I love your peanut rice idea. I am going to try it! my college day go to food was enchiladas. I also lived on salad, cheese, oil and vinegar. My cooking was not great. I ate too much pasta roni ramen and mac and cheese then figured out I needed to exercise and eat less processed food! All while getting my Associate’s Degree at Salt Lake Community College. I can identify with the glory of being a student then. My tuition was less than $2k a term. My teachers were brilliant and taught me more than I learned anywhere outside of home. I know so much about geography, geology, even cartography. Compared with others my age, I am full of facts from community college. :). Great channel. Love your content.
I made the chilli peanut rice dish: OMGOSH...It is delicious...I didn't have any green onions but I did have some fresh spinach from Aldi that needed using..I cut it up and sauted it with the carrots. The dish not only looked beautiful it tasted great. You can be sure I will make it again..it's a keeper, going into my recipe box.
Great to see a new video. I love the fact that you seem to have a similar palate as myself. I love mustard and black pepper. Shrimp ramen is my ramen of choice and there have been a slew of other similarities I have noticed in your other videos. The Brits not only love their beans on toast but also on "jacket potatoes" (baked potatoes). I finally got around to trying that a few months back and it was very good. Also, I tried it with the Heinz curry beans. One more thing.. maybe in a future video you could show us how to use up all those condiment packets one collects from fast food places. I have quite a lot of Arby's sauce and Horsey sauce. You are so creative, I know I would like what you put together. Thanks!
Nice to hear we have similar tastes! I am a big fan of jacket potatoes myself. In fact, sometimes I have one for breakfast with butter, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning or parsley. I especially do it if I feel a little cold in the morning and so running the oven warms up the kitchen a little more 😊 Of course I try to place more or something else in the oven so I'm not wasting electricity. A condiment packet video is an interesting idea. Thanks!
As a latino and chef may I suggest always warming tortillas on a grill or cast iron pan never micro wave. The most favor appears after its heated this way. David Chicago
Great tips for the students... I never had time to cook while in college ; (..... I did work in the school cafeteria a few hours and was always able to get a free meal at the end of my shift..P.S. I started also at the Community College here in Pittsburgh.. A great start to save money before I transferred to a 4 year state college...
Zsuzsi, you probably completed your schooling in a smarter way than I did. I should have stayed in state. Back then if you kept up your GPA at CCP and decided to transfer to Temple U they offered a $2,000 scholarship for each year you went to Temple. I read later they reduced the scholarship amount by half. Back then $2,000 a year for Temple was about 1/3 the tuition, so that would have been a sweet deal for me. What did you major in?
@@TheQuaintHousewife Back then majored in P.E.education at Slippery Rock State (in state)...got another B.A. in Photography at a local college in Pittsburgh in the mid 80's with a program that if you only took 7credits or less, the tuition was 1/2 price.....Going out of state was always more expensive.. My total loans was 6,000 for both Bachelor degrees.. Worked to pay most of tuition.. Maybe your program was worth leaving the state?...I wish I would have gone to Temple...
Zsuzsi, the 80s was an excellent time to go to college tuition-wise. Glad you took advantage of it! My degree paid off in many ways. I think an in-state school would have been best in other ways.
I knew a young woman first moving out on her own with little income. She would eat popcorn for supper. She would take the cheese packet out of the cheap mac n cheese box and top her popcorn with it. Then, she would use the macaroni to make macaroni salad . Popcorn is cheap bought in bulk and very nutritious. She made it tasty with the cheese that she sprinkled on it. I never forgot that trick and used to make it four our snack when my kids were young. Another cheap snack was to take the cheap canned biscuits and fry them up and make donuts. For about $1 I would make 20 donuts. I would just roll in sugar/cinnamin mixture after draining. Sometimes, I made a cream cheese icing to put on top of them or a peanut butter icing. There are endless things you can top them with. Way better than a poptart.
I've been wanting to try the peanut fried rice dish for sometime.. and I finally tried it tonight.. and I loved it..! This will definitely be added to my recipe collection..! I used honey roasted peanuts which made it so delish... thanks for sharing.!!
Really enjoying your videos... you are very good at getting to the point and sharing a lot of very useful information without a lot of filler.. ; ). I will enjoy watching more..
Baked beans on toast yeah I’m English and we had that ALLLLL the time. For a special treat we’d add a fried egg on top or grated cheese. So good. My kids will still make it. These meals all look good especially the peanut one with carrots. Seems like maybe a scrambled egg would mix in well to bulk it out? Fantastic video as always nice job.
Simple is great for me. I can’t use lots of preservatives as my husband has sulphate issues, so with very few ingredients I can manage his diet safely. I love the peanut recipe a lot. I will definitely make that 😀
These look delicious; I enjoy mustard on beans and in other dishes too. People look at me oddly, but it tastes good to me. I love all your videos so much! Blessings ❤️
I didn’t realize the baked beans on bread or toast is English!? We grew up with them (baked bean butter sandwiches lol) and when I was pregnant with my first born I CRAVED them so much I had to go to the store over my lunch break to make them at home lol needless to say my daughter loves beans too 🤷♀️😂🧡
Great budget ideas for anyone but I like your title because I bet college kids will watch and get ideas and not feel so alone. Sad stories at the end. It's important to be reminded how some people are forced to live. Thank you for making this heartfelt video.
BBQ sauce for beans on toast would be good and free Taco Bell salsa packets are great w eggs. Good ideas! Oooh and a soft boiled egg in the ramen would be good! Yum.
My son was paid to cook for a sorority while he was a college student and that's how he ate well after he tore through his food allowance. Needless to say, he was quite popular with the ladies there 😊 He did call me randomly seeking recipes for his favorite meals like meatloaf with hard boiled eggs in the center.
I really enjoy watching your videos. I'm sticking to a tight budget and your creativity with these meals has been very inspiring when thinking of new meal ideas for my family. Waiting for your reaction when trying the foods out was so funny :p
The peanut rice sounds amazing! I love rice and rice noodle dishes with peanuts 😋 My son puts egg in his ramen. We have lots of spinach that needs to be used up that he got from his university food pantry. Hopefully I can come up with something creative. Thank you for these amazing videos!
I think I will try a variation of the ramen dish for sure. I've been thinking of incorporating tumeric into more dishes, just to change it up. Hard to believe you were in college that long ago. You look younger! I agree it's a shame that college tuition has gotten so out of control.. Sad situation with the kid staying behind the stairs. It's nice that the school allowed him to continue sleeping there. People in those kinds of situations need the compassion and understanding of others
Robin, turmeric is so good for you. I have a weird thing where I like to have it also on top of my homemade Chinese-style food. For some reason I think it tastes great paired with soy sauce. Thanks for the lovely compliment too!
I must add to this comment. I find her videos very calming in these anxious times. So many RUclipsrs are doing a lot of videos about stocking the freezer & pantry with months & months worth of food. I think those videos might actually create more fear & panic. This channel always reminds me that we can actually do ok on very little. Instead of hoarding food, maybe those of us who are doing ok financially can eat more simply & give more to our local food banks.
We lived on spaghetti with canned Hunt's sauce. Another regular meal, grilled cheese and tomato soup or grilled peanut butter and jam sandwiches. My housemate lived on ramen noodles and cereal. Cheese omletes, egg sandwiches. We used coupons, doubled then, wonder bread store. We visited the Veterans roadside produce shack because they had great produce and it was cheap! Those gentlemen were awesome! One Vet was in a wheelchair and trying to roll around on bumpy grass! Kudos to that man!!!I On campus, you saw everything at the dining hall! One dude, had twenty cups of milk and 10 boxes of cereal. He was placing it in his backpack. It still makes me laugh. He was higher than a kite touching heaven!
My country has a poor education system so I'm putting everything on the line to move abroad and go to college. I know I won't have the university experience like on TV, I'll be on a super tight budget and working 3 jobs, but your videos will get me through that
Ash! What an adventure! You can do it. A lot of college kids don't have that experience you see on TV. They work extra hard with little free time. I hope my videos indeed help you!
When I was in college I was a full-time student and I also worked 40 hours a week to pay my way through school and I was on an extremely tight budget. I rode a city bus to work and on payday I had exactly enough money to pay my fare TO work and if something had happened that caused them not to pay me on that day I would have had no way back home. As soon as I was paid I would go buy a jar of peanut butter and a box of crackers and then when I ran out of money and had nothing left in my budget for food, I would live off of the PB and crackers until I was paid again. After I graduated it was YEARS before I could stand the taste of peanut butter! But like you said, it kept me from starving.
Maryann, thank you for telling your story. It must have been hard to work through those times. It's amazing what youth and determination allow us to do. I hope you are doing well now. XOXO
@@TheQuaintHousewife I am doing very well now, thank you very much for your kind words. I am an old lady now and am living alone because my husband died of Alzheimer's 11 years ago but we both worked very hard all of our married life (for as long as he could work) and I now have more than enough to meet my needs. Partly that is because I have never felt like I needed to wear designer clothes or drive a prestigious car or live in a fancy house or dine on filet mignon. After my husband died my brother called me to see if I was doing okay financially and I told him yes, I have everything I want but fortunately I just don't want much. Many senior citizens have to make a choice between food or medications they need and I am lucky enough that I have never had to make that choice. So, I have food and shelter and clothing and thanks to my listening to Dave Ramsey, all my bills are paid and I have money for medications and that is really all I need. Gosh, I don't know where that rant came from. Sorry.
I went to the community college. But didn't even get an associate. My dad paid for it, I was lucky. When I went back in 2014 college got a LOT harder. This one person at the group home.this girl talked me into buying her some filler paper, and I didn't make that much money. My family let me live at home until I got married, I got married too young. I hope nobody else did that (I was LDS and was pressured to get married, my family was not LDS). I'm lucky, I get SSI and SSDI because I worked enough when I could work to get two checks. I have tons of food right now. I've been storing food, and it's almost winter. I don't know where you live, but in Central OH sometimes we get ice, and you can't get anywhere for a week. That's so sad about the student that had to live in the school. But now days there are so many more resources out there. In central OH there is even a phone number you can call to get help it's like 4 11 or something. And the food pantries will usually help with other reasons too.
Michelle, thanks for sharing your story. I have an LDS friend. Sometimes I wish I was LDS because I would have gotten married younger and owned more home equity by now, or would have been further into real adulthood. I hear you about the ice. I am glad you have some permanent, fixed income coming in. That is a lifesaver these days. Stay safe!
In high school I would come home starving and I made up a recipe that I still to this day whip up and hubs loves it too. Take you favorite hot dog ( I like ballpark beef) and split it almost in half...opening it up butterfly style. Take a couple of tables spoons ( straight out of the can) of Cambell's bean with bacon soup ( today I don't eat pork so we use vegatarian refried beans) and fill up the hotdog with the bean with bacon soup. Then lay slices ( or grated) cheddar cheese on top and broil until the cheese is golden and he hotdog is curling a bit. Salt and pepper. YUM!!!
Haha, ramen, brings back memories. It was the chicken flavor for me. It was convenient to take to work, too. I just packed a bowl and spoon along with the ramen package and no Tupperware tops fell off and spilled food all over my bag. Worked great.
Those stories at the end where so disturbing and infuriating. I'm so thankful for loving parents. The rice and peanuts dish looked yummy. You look great.
This was very good! I wish i could enjoy eating beans like that. Interesting with mustard. I lived off of bologna, tomatoes, and onion fried up with spices in college. I never could get into ramen but the way you cooked it up looks delish! Might you have any holiday recipe treats? 😀
I learned this "jingle" from Mormons at the Institute (the college organization for Mormons to meet each other and date). But they would say "Ramen my amen you got me through college and then some" I like ramen with Yum yum sauce. I always have ramen noodles.
Thank you for sharing. Unusual dishes but very tempting to make. I would like to make the Ramen noodle 🍲 dish for sure. This is my first time watching your videos. ❤️🎉👋🙏🏻👍🏼🎊

Kim Chee, this is one of the nicest comments I've received. I appreciate all the nice things you said!
We could all be struggling since the weather patterns are destroying so many areas where crops are grown. I appreciate the meals you share with us. I've looked at frugality in a whole new way the past few months when it comes to meal prepping. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
That's true -- who knows what the crops will do! Going to pray about it.
Good for any starving human too. Going to go for that ramen recipe. Going to try the bean idea since it's something I can actually afford too.
Humans and beans go great together 😃 Thanks!
I'm so excited to watch this one! I'm a student myself!!
Excellent. Thanks!
@@TheQuaintHousewife Finished watching, Lovely recipes!! I have my own version of the egg drop ramen too! It was so great to hear your thoughts on the struggles of student life at the end, definitely need more people talking openly about such things. Thanks for the lovely video!
I'm eating whole food plant based these days, and I love how at least half of your recipes fit with my diet either as is, or with a few modifications. Good job!!
@Meron Abraham Whole plant foods cannot be beat. Glad you like!
I tried the beans and mustard on toast tonight. I would never have thought of that. It’s so good! I added a little olive oil to the beans and 1 large tbsp of mustard. It’s so yummy! It will now be a go to for me! Thank you! I love your channel!
Jules! I am so happy you tried this. I think the olive oil was a good move too, to get a little bit of fat and smoothness in there. Thanks for telling me 😊
My mug came in and it's my favorite. I had some tea in it while watching this
Rayne, thank you so much for buying one of my mugs! I am glad you like it! I am so happy for your car purchase. You did it lady!
My favorite was the peanut rice. You could add an egg for extra protein and to make the rice fried! Yum!
I’m not a student I’m 42 just so you know your audience but I have a son that’s a senior ready for college next year! I just LOVE how you take a ramen and maximize the nutrition! Amazing! Ty
RT, I love to add the nutrition when I can. Best wishes to your senior!
Hello sweetheart! I go through surgery Wednesday my wound isn’t healing so they are placing a wound vac, please keep me in your prayers 🙏🏻 love your videos as always 🥰❤️
Will definitely keep you in my prayers Wendy 🙏🏻 Much love and speedy healing to you! ❤️
I don’t know you but I’m praying for you too 💙I think everyone needs extra prayers right now.
What a great video. I think it’s a genius idea to use peanuts as the protein in the rice.
Keep up the good work. I was glad to see your video today, it cheered me up.
J Lit, thanks I am cheered up by your comment. I am starting to stock up on peanuts lately now as I am eating them more.
Madie, your stew sound really good :)
The rice and ramen looked so good. And the stories about the students - so sad. 😔💔 My daughter will be starting college next year and I will do everything in my power to get her through and help her succeed. Tfs!
Jackie, you sound like a great mom. Best wishes to both of you!
You seem like such a kind genuine person. This video was great, thank you for the effort you put into helping those who are maybe struggling!!
O thanks very much Adriane 😊
Your videos are such a joy to watch. I have implemented many of your recipes for a healthy, affordable remedy to eating out because of my hectic schedule. Your outer glow is only rivaled by your inner glow and you are especially radiant here. Thank you so much for sharing your channel, your history and YOU. :) Having said that, that peanut dish looks extra scrumptious.
Kim, thanks for saying all these nice things :) Glad to hear some of the recipes have worked for you! Stay safe!
Miracle, thank you for this heartwarming message. I am glad to have viewers such as yourself on my channel. God bless you and yours this season 😊
With the beans you could put tomato or bbq sauce with cheese on the toast!
That would be heavenly, Gladys! 😃
Hugs, Pam
Pamela, people really have it hard right now. Wonderful sentiments. Thanks and be well!
I would saute the kale along with the eggs and beef because I think it is more tasty that way.
I eat kale and feta scrambled eggs all the time!
Yes, cooking the kale would be tasty as well!
My wife just took a lentil/ chickpea pre cooked packet. Cut up carrot and broccoli. A little bit of rice and a couple small angus sliders. Yum
I really like this menu you shared, David. Wish I ate some myself!
You can make it one day!
I appreciate your honesty so much. ❤️ You are such a precious person, sweet spirit.
Thanks Sherry. You're making me feel cute now 😃

I can never be sure what I sound like LOL. Thanks Betty!
Thanks Susanne. Glad they are helpful!
Everything looks very tasty! My college go to meal was penne pasta mixed with pesto and Alfredo sauce with canned green beans and I still make it to this day!
I could go for that too! I'm a big pesto fan!
Thank you Jane! Ahh the days of cheaper tuition, and carefree but educational days at community ...
Very interesting !
Meals 1 & 2 : nope for me
Meals 3 & 4 : OH YEAH !
Thank you for sharing these ideas ... ✔
I agree. I hate microwaving tortillas and cast-iron is the best.
I love her honest review after she cooked. “Not bad” yes. It does not look yes or bad
I love how creative you are with a very simple ingredients. Keep up the good work😁
Thank you so much 🤗
Love your creative ideas!
Thank you so much for sharing everything looked so good!
You are so welcome! 😃
These might be “poor meals” but they look so good!
Thanks Julie!
O excellent! Glad you enjoyed!

Glad you like them! Thank you!
These recipes are all look great and cheap!! Thank you!!!
Hope they help, Natalie. Thanks!
I like the variations you mentioned for the beans on toast! Thanks Karen!
Simple is great for me. I can’t use lots of preservatives as my husband has sulphate issues, so with very few ingredients I can manage his diet safely. I love the peanut recipe a lot. I will definitely make that 😀
Orly, I hope my Poor Gal Peanut Rice goes over well. Enjoy!
These look delicious; I enjoy mustard on beans and in other dishes too. People look at me oddly, but it tastes good to me. I love all your videos so much!
Blessings ❤️
We can enjoy being oddballs 😃 XOXO
@@TheQuaintHousewife yes we sure can!❤️
Oh my gosh! She is looking so BEAUTIFUL.. driving me crazy 😍😍😍
I didn’t realize the baked beans on bread or toast is English!? We grew up with them (baked bean butter sandwiches lol) and when I was pregnant with my first born I CRAVED them so much I had to go to the store over my lunch break to make them at home lol needless to say my daughter loves beans too 🤷♀️😂🧡
Oh baked bean butter sandwich sounds good and would be easy for me to gobble up! At least you got a lot of fiber! XOXO
I wish you could post more often. Love your channel. Thanks
Thanks Josette!
Great budget ideas for anyone but I like your title because I bet college kids will watch and get ideas and not feel so alone. Sad stories at the end. It's important to be reminded how some people are forced to live. Thank you for making this heartfelt video.
Leila, thanks for the note. So many are facing tough times, especially with winter coming. Stay safe and hold on tight!

BBQ sauce for beans on toast would be good and free Taco Bell salsa packets are great w eggs. Good ideas! Oooh and a soft boiled egg in the ramen would be good! Yum.
Yes, I would love the BBQ bean version even more. Thanks!
My son was paid to cook for a sorority while he was a college student and that's how he ate well after he tore through his food allowance. Needless to say, he was quite popular with the ladies there 😊
He did call me randomly seeking recipes for his favorite meals like meatloaf with hard boiled eggs in the center.
Wow, what a gig! Anything that helps feed us!
Thank you so much for being a kind, informative and an imaginative chef! ❤️
Matthew, much appreciated. God bless!
I really enjoy watching your videos. I'm sticking to a tight budget and your creativity with these meals has been very inspiring when thinking of new meal ideas for my family.
Waiting for your reaction when trying the foods out was so funny :p
Thank you, Hazeybaby. I am glad you enjoyed my reactions LOL.
I think I would like that peanut rice. I might add some chicken to it too.
Chicken and peanut together is great!
I love your videos and ideas! You are such a lovely and calm person! Thank you!!! 🥰
Thanks Heather!
Thank you for sharing these recipes! Btw I love the color of your hair! 😊
Oh thanks Amy!
The peanut rice sounds amazing! I love rice and rice noodle dishes with peanuts 😋 My son puts egg in his ramen. We have lots of spinach that needs to be used up that he got from his university food pantry. Hopefully I can come up with something creative. Thank you for these amazing videos!
Gigi, what a great gift -- a supply of spinach. I think they are great for pasta and pizza. Have fun with it and thank you!
Hard times are coming. People loosing their job because of the current situation. It is good to learn how to eat for little money.
Ann, it's true. lots are having to make tough choices. If people have access to a kitchen and a little cash or food stamps a little can go a long way.
Kudos to that man!!!I
On campus, you saw everything at the dining hall! One dude, had twenty cups of milk and 10 boxes of cereal. He was placing it in his backpack. It still makes me laugh. He was higher than a kite touching heaven!
SimonaLyne, I enjoyed reading about your college food experiences!
All of your recipes look amazing! I will definitely be giving them a try. Also I love your videos.
Thank you so much for all the effort you put into your videos💕love your meal ideas
Reading comments like yours makes it feel worth it 😊Thank you.
I love your mustard happy face 1:19 Lol
LOL happy accidents! I was like, "Is this a message from God? when I first watched it."
Sorry.
I know I always say this, but you really are very creative. I will try all of these recipes:) I see a future chef in the making.
Thanks DLN!
Stay safe!
Thank you for your video, stories, and recipes! Bless you! ❤️
God bless you and yours Rosy!
YUM!!!
This sounds heavenly, Ann. Thanks for sharing!
I loved your bloopers thanks for sharing the peanut rice looks amazing

1:21 Smile emoji mustard. Cute! LOL. I kept from starving in college by eating a lot of potatoes and eggs. I like your creativity with your meals!
Bonnie, I only noticed after publishing it. How cute and glad you noticed 😊
Haha, ramen, brings back memories. It was the chicken flavor for me. It was convenient to take to work, too. I just packed a bowl and spoon along with the ramen package and no Tupperware tops fell off and spilled food all over my bag. Worked great.
Mary, I love the chicken one too. I don't like the beef for some reason. They are for sure convenient too!
Those stories at the end where so disturbing and infuriating. I'm so thankful for loving parents. The rice and peanuts dish looked yummy. You look great.
Thank you, SereneSky. Yes, their stories were kind of sad :(
This was very good! I wish i could enjoy eating beans like that. Interesting with mustard. I lived off of bologna, tomatoes, and onion fried up with spices in college. I never could get into ramen but the way you cooked it up looks delish! Might you have any holiday recipe treats? 😀
Hi David, that sounds good :) I will probably have some holiday or holiday treat recipes forthcoming. Thanks 😀
That peanut rice looks so good!
