Nope. Parents have the right to document their kids growing up. We can't take that away. I don't agree with openly putting them online, but they are not my children and I do not get that choice. blaming the parents for using the internet with their children feels like the equivalent of telling young women if they dress a certain way in an ally they are asking for it. However, I well say this is why social media needs to be sued for not moderating their platforms. If Nick can figure it out, but the owners of the platform can't, I'm going to have to call BS on the platform not knowing it's happening. They just didn't look. Section 230 keeps them from being sued like any other business. Highly recommend looking into how it protect criminals that use the internet. It would be more productive than banking on parents not using social media to document kids. It would create rules that wouldn't allow it. Think about it: The platforms would make their own rules about not showing children to protect liability. Then parents would have no option but to go back to old school texting Gma little Timmys graduation instead of posting it where bad people look at it. Change the law and protect the kiddos pls.
@@freedomishavingachoice3020 i think what she meant to say was that parents shouldnt post it on social media as the number of predators accessing the internet is increasing. the fact that parents are going along with this is actually insane. I've never heard of the specific fetish either, but if a random man on tiktok asked me to take a video of my kid in the shower/bath, regardless if they're clothed, I'd immediately assume it was something sketchy
Right?? I don't understand how these parents could be so fucking stupid. I have no sympathy for the parents. Open your fucking eyes. I feel really bad for the kids though. I'm pissed at Howard and these stupid weak minded parents who'll do anything for a follower on social media. It's disgusting.
To play devils advocate here, the parents are probably just as blissfully unaware as the kids.. and believe it's just another silly challenge. I think it's unfair to put blame on some of the parents here. I honestly didn't even know that a wet clothes fetish was even a thing, and if my niece or nephews asked me to bathe/shower fully clothed as a challenge.. I'd give them a 'WTF' look before telling them no. And not because of this, but because of how ridiculous of a challenge it sounds
@@INSERTNAMExHERE True most people simply don't know of most weird fetishes out there. I've lived online for most my life so I have a better understanding than I'd like of every fetish out there. I still think a good parent should say no to this crap though even if only because it's dumb af.
He made an article on Wikipedia called something along the lines of “would you let your kids take a bath with their shoes and socks”. It’s on Wikipedia’s list of bizarre deleted articles.
As a parent, I'm struggling to understand getting a message from a complete stranger asking me to do an "experiment" with my child and doing *anything* besides blocking the creep.
I'm a brazilian lawyer, and here Howard supposedly would be breaking the law - because, according to our law, child por* is all about context and intentions. So, for instance, if a mother has pictures of a child taking a shower for sentimental value, it's not a crime, but a picture of a child fully clothed, when used for malicious motives, can be considered child por*. The major problem is that it's usually hard to prove what is inside someone's mind, although this case appears pretty much straight forward with all this evidence
@@davidsander6356 Brazil FOR SURE is not a dream world - unfortunately, the age of consent is 14 years old here -, but why is it so hard to believe that a country in the "third world" has a more advanced law (in some regards) than a "developed" country? It happens
This tactic is called "fetish mining", where you are asked to perform an action that seems non-sxual but which the asker enjoys as a fetish. There was a scandal earlier in the year in the UK, when a major UK charity was found to be taking donations of money from a man doing "sponsored challenges" that were essentially this exact scenario except he'd film in person and it was mostly young adults, but it also included kids. He'd been promoted by the charity on their social media and received certificates of thanks which made him seem legit, but if you go through his pages he follows almost exclusively fetish accounts for the activity he was getting kids to perform while he filmed it. When he asked adults he would be aggressive and abusive if turned down, and one of them finally got wise to his motives.
What kind of parent blindly follows an old man on the internet!? When I was young and skateboarding around town I saw the same guy 3 times who would always ask to buy my sweaty socks. I was 10 or 12 and I knew it was dangerous. How can an adult not catch on to the bizarre fetishistic nature of the requests?
If you're like me, I've never heard of wetlook. Back in 2018 and 2019, this wouldn't have been an unusual, it's very similar to a lot of the challenges they did back then. I wouldn't have thought anything of it either.

Hi Nick, a quick heads up. I just saw this video, two years late. From a former police officer: Excellent work! As of today, 14/06/24, Newton is still active on the internet forum Quora, and still pursuing questions concerning clothed children in water, and, disturbingly, drowning. I have contacted the West Yorks police Sexual Offenders unit, and a journalist at The Guardian newspaper here in the UK who has an interest in the current state of online protections for children to advise of his continuing interest, and to point both those parties at your video. It is possible someone may contact you.
That's awesome, fingers crossed something will be done about this! The newly added drowning aspect is very concerning indeed. Those kind of paraphilias can be harmless if done in private and/or with consenting adults but unfortantely many escalate. Howard took it from taking the baths himself and watching adults in wet clothes and escalated to kids online and then tried to escalate it to organizing a live event. Apparently he has now added a violent component to it and given how extreme his compulsion seems to be he could potentially become dangerous.
There's an aspect of this man's fetish you didn't specifically make a note of. He's always daring kids to ask their parents for permission or have the parents make the kids do it. If he _only_ wanted to see the kids in the bath, it would be much easier to get that footage by telling them to do it without being noticed. Even the parents saying no seems to get him going, he wants to hear how it happens and is imagining the interaction. He seemingly enjoys the forbidden and weird nature of the act, making the child disobey and having the parents watching, either disapproving or enjoying. The parents' reaction is very much related, maybe that's tied to some deep psychological issues, possible childhood experiences? He's not even trying to go unnoticed by adults, he wants them involved while they're unaware of his _enjoyment._ I'm sure his biggest fantasy would be parents who share his... inclination. Ugh.
Interesting observation. I found it odd that he would always ask the parents for permission or would want the kids to ask. This dude has to have some problems in the head.
I just watched your video and decided todo a TikTok search to see if there were any updates regarding him. I was really upset to see he’s still active and has another account doing the same thing. A poor kid did a video for him only a few hours ago! This is so worrying.
More worrying a child has a phone. What happens when kids have kids. Parental wisdom and knowledge is gone. Now it's all about living like you're in a rap video. Sick world we live jn.
The fact he was able to do this for years while making it seem innocent just shows how dangerous the internet can really be for children, and the fact the parents didn’t even know his true intentions just shows how scary and sophisticated he can be. It’s disgusting and I hope he gets some consequences for what he’s done. Disgusting.
I have 0 clue why these kids don’t have proctor apps for parents to watch what’s being said and done. And these pedos need to just stop or they’ll enjoy prison bars better
This is why kids shouldn’t be exploited by adults trying to go viral or be family vloggers. The mothers should be ashamed for buying in to this and exploiting their kids
I disagree, being exploitative, and being entertaining with consent are two different things as long as children are not involved for sexual pleasure. Edit: I've changed my viewpoint, I happen to agree with him.
@@moatasemkassab4517 consent from who? From a 4-11 year old child who thinks it's just fun and games? What if your parents uploaded a embarrassing video of you when you were a kid (that you consented), and then you grow up mature enough to see that video, a childhood moment that should have been intimate and cute has become the circus for who knows who. Everyone having an opinion on your own childhood! WTF that's sad! Just because you consented with like 6 years old?? I completely discourage putting your child in water while wearing clothes, this is not the type of entertainment I encourage. A "goofy playing with legos" video as you said, a precious moment from your childhood, should never be the entertainment for strangers all around the world, and it's quite concerning that a lot of people like you don't see that. It doesn't have to be a sexual oriented video (that shouldn't even be a real thing), just the fact that some parents don't respect the intimacy of their underage kids shows a lot. I repeat, even if the kid gives consent, because kids don't understand a lot of things that in the other hand, adults can. @@michellemabelle5 " a precious moment from your childhood, should never be the entertainment for strangers all around the world, and it's quite concerning that a lot of people like you don't see that." The problem with your argument is that you blame the child, and not the pedophile, it's as if you're blaming the child for arousing the pedophile, when the child was being completely innocent in the legos goofy video and wasn't sexual in any way or manner, imagine defending pedos.

The REAL issue is that parents are so aloof that they let their kids talk to a 50 year old man online, REGARDLESS of what they talk about. The internet can be a rough place. If the worst thing this guy does is ask you to bathe fully clothed, frankly you're in good hands.
@@Junomaster2006 - Normally I'd say you're a partisan hack, but Biden is actually a really interesting case in point if you want to compare him to this guy, because their respective "perversions" if you want to call it that, are somewhat similar. Biden is one of those guys who has a real problem with personal physical boundaries: he's very touchy feely, and in all those videos you see of him disregarding people's personal space, he does it to women differently than he does it to men. That's pseudo-sexual. It's not overtly sexual, but it's showing a double standard over gender, based around sexuality. The same can be observed with fathers who freak out at the thought of their daughters having sex before marriage, but might not freak out so much if it concerned their sons. That's pseudo-sexual. The guy showcased in this video is very much engaged in a pseudo-sexual fetish. He targets boys to help him act out his obsession, but that ABSOLUTELY doesn't mean it's sexual. It could be something as simple as the fact that he relates to being a young boy experiencing this himself for the first time. It might be similar to how fathers have a different relationship to their sons than they do their daughters. That's pseudo-sexual too. NOTHING this guy does is overtly sexual, and no one he engages with is compromised sexually. That's why I don't think he's guilty of a crime. I think he needs to stop, but in the form of therapy, not punishment, because he's not actually harming anyone,. Likewise, almost 25% of Americans are able to give Biden a free pass for the same reason: because as far as we know, he didn't actually do anything other than express pseudo-sexual behavior. P.S. Who you voted for doesn't matter. If you didn't vote for Biden, that means if you voted, you voted for the "grab them by the pu$$y" guy. At this point, it's hilarious to me how EITHER side of the political aisle in America think they hold some sort of moral high ground.

Big, big same. The exploitation of children on social media (especially things like omegle and kik) have been such a widespread, casual trauma that is so under talked about. It took me until my early twenties to even begin realizing what was really happening in real life and the internet, let alone the gravity of so many victims going unnoticed by even themselves.

There are fetishies for the most unthinkable things. Some are not malicious tough. Like the one below. I saw a documentary of a woman that was in love with Eiffel Tower. She also "married" Eiffel Tower. Later on she got in love with Berlin Wall, and "married" the Wall. She also had small models of both the Wall and the Tower. At end of documentary she was sleeping in a DDR guard tower that was connected to Berlin Wall with her small models. Not malicious but extremley unthinkable for us "normal" people that such fetishies can exist.

You'd think someone like a parent would be weirded out that a complete stranger on the internet is randomly asking you to have your child take a bath with their clothe on even completely unwarranted.
This is a phenomena known as fetish-mining, and it was really common on websites like DeviantArt back in the day. For example young artists would get drawing requests for things that didnt seem sexual at first glance, and they would draw it because it seemed fun, without realizing that the person who requested it was using it for sexual gratification. It could be things like drawing someone in a tutu (I got this one on my art tumblr a few years back) or drawing someone eating a lot of food. Sadly it's something that is way too common online and its usually asked from minors, since minors generally dont see how it could be weird or sexual. A good rule of thumb is to teach yourself and your kids to not accept requests on things that seem just a bit too specific, or things you see a lot of people being asked to do. Also for artists a good rule is to just not accept requests unless they actually pay you money for it.
This happened to a friend of mine and also myself. In my case it was kinda funny in retrospect because I completely misunderstood the request I think because it was oddly worded, so the dude didn't even get their fetish art

I was so confused that I just said “uh that’s nice I guess” and then stopped responding after that. Happened when I was like 13? Gross.
He's using dares as a wedge to sift out kids he can more overtly control. This is predatory creeper behavior. Genuinely disturbing. Wonder if it's an echo of a drowned child they're enjoying, or working them up toward drowning one.
Yeah that’s the vibe I was getting as well. The only thing I could think of is how easily grown adults can drown when fully clothed, let alone a kid. He even asked on if they had a pond near them. A pond ffs.
Why do 90% of these creeps always look like stereotypical creeps? Howard probably drives a tinted white mini-van with an inflatable pool inside, parking near children saying "Hey kid, I lost my puppy on the pool..."
The law, as usual, needs to catch up. If a clear link can be made with a fetish/paraphilia and the individual is actively soliciting minors, that should qualify legally as something RUclips won't let us say. And that should be prosecuted as such.
Sadly I've seen way too many comments encouraging sexu@l things about kids than RUclips apparently "allows". I follow a lot of pages that exploit sexu@l child pred@tors because it's something I'm very passionate about the safety of children. I've commented against people who say kids are "h0t" or something youtube leaves those comments but deletes any that defend children. It's so sick. I honestly think people within yt are apart of the pred@tor community. As you can see certain phrases have even been banned by them but many videos about it are left untouched.
The law can't do anything. Section 230 allows platforms to not moderate people using their platforms. Until a victim comes forward to press charges, nothing can happen, and they have to charge only the individual that uploaded, not the platform that didn't moderate. I put a man in an American federal prison for 30 years after he took my childhood. I had to have video evidence to get that long of a conviction. He used the internet as a tool to hunt. The platform never once shut down when I told them where they were uploading. I promise you I have had decades to think about this...nix section 230 and let ppl sue internet platforms like regular companies. Also, does anyone understand how hard it is to tell your story as a survivor to warn ppl online with the robots delete everything we have to say about it? Sheesshhh. This is exhausting.
what about you who eats meat and eggs and milk from murdered animals. Are you any better? i dont think so. So lets prosecute you and everyone else.......ahh yes the humans hypocricy
Can't let social media determine law. We need to be careful about what powers we give to these companies. Law needs to control social media, not the other way around

I think more sp the problem is the laws. Laws weren't written for the existence of the internet. They need to figure out the jurisdiction issues with online crimes. That's what prevents prosecution alot of the times. Also, the police are back in the 1950s technologically. So.....they don't have the skillset to collect evidence etc etc for these cases.
Platforms can never do a good enough job at stopping people like this and having faith that they can is part of the problem- IT’S PARENTS who need to do a better job at monitoring and protecting their children from predators and harmful social media sites. And the same goes for the commenter saying we need better laws. The government/law enforcement/legal system cannot fix this issue either, and having faith that they can is also part of the problem. Only PARENTS have the proper power and motivation needed to protect their children.. along with amazing RUclips channels like this one shining a light on these issues!
As a mother myself, I just gotta say this - ALL the parents who filmed their children doing that just for a tiny drop of internet clout...are so pathetic, braindead, and thoughtless. I'm not sorry. I don't even post pictures of my children online, period. I send them to family and friends. My children don't need to grow up believing that their worth is decided by how many likes they get on Instagram. 🙄
Eh, she sounded like she was excited to do something with her kiddo, she was like “wanna do an activity?” and all, let’s not forget that he went under the radar for over ten years so for an older woman to not recognize this is expected too. Either way, still the pedo’s fault, not the victim’s.
You are correct when you say he has done nothing that is actually illegal. The platforms have every right to remove him though. Honestly your work is more than admirable here. Excellent research
why isnt talking to little kids into taking a bath illegal? Then going on the internet for children should be. Just an irresponsible parenting outcome. These kids arent supposed to be online yet where are their parents?
Aside from your intense research, your editing is phenomenal. I’ve been watching your videos for the last week, and as an editor, the bumpers between chapters harken back to Kyle Cooper’s work on the Se7en intro credits. Bravo!
I can't believe people actually did that challenge INCLUDING MYSELF when I was younger. At least I didn't record myself and put it online for anyone to watch. Yeeshh..
It sucks that there are literally so many playlists of children on RUclips for fetish content, literally clear in plain sight and yet when you report them nothing is done about them despite the clear fetish motivation.
Yeah found one recently of diff videos of kids who need to pee. I was disgusted and looked to see if I could report it, but the dropdown menu had 1 option, and I'm pretty sure it was "save playlist"? Obviously I didn't, and left sickened. Why aren't these reportable?!
@@karamei Unfortunately, you'd have to report specific videos, but it makes no sense that you can't report playlists seeing as how they're being used for malicious reasons. Involving kids. I can kind of understand, because RUclips can't delete every video on a playlist that gets reported, and if they simply dismantle the playlist, the person can just make a new one with the exact same content. They should dismantle it anyways though. If nothing else, don't make it easy for predators.
As a mom, and moreover being the grandmom of a teen, there is no way I would say "OK, sure, this teen will definitely cater to your random request and we will upload this to the internet for your edification." Wow. What a whacko. Ick. Hugs, Nick.
Honestly, what really makes me sick is the fact that parents are going to hear of some dumb challenge online concerning their children and suggested by a stranger, and they just hop right up and do it and film it and put it online. It's basically like a predator flat-out asking you to give them inappropriate material of your child. And then you just saying yes and giving it to them. Love me make this sparkling clear for anyone who is confused whatsoever on this subject. If you are an adult, the only children you should be having any contact with whatsoever online are your nieces and nephews or something like that. Grown-ass adults have no purpose whatsoever talking with children on the internet. NONE. And talking to children about bathing? Clothed or not, that is disgusting. Thank you so much for making this video and helping to expose perverts and sickos like this. I'm just shaking my head at those parents. Some random strange adult asking you or your child to participate in any bathing challenges in any capacity should raise red flags immediately.
I’m glad you covered this Nick. I had a friend who made a video of themselves at the pool and the comments were full of perverts asking them to do weird “challenges” for the sake of their fetish. My friend is admittedly a bit naïve about weirdos in the comments and didn’t think much of it but I could definitely see between the lines. There’s another channel I discovered owned by a guy who is/was a pool manager who had his teenage lifeguards film themselves swimming. He would tag fetish channels in the description and ask commenters who their favorite girl was. This dude’s channel had a link to his personal accounts and I was able to find where he was employed. I actually called the country club that employed him and they were pretty outraged and this person was presumably fired. I asked to remain anonymous of course.
I met this guy when I was a child, in the city of Bath in Somerset. He wanted me to jump into the river fully clothed with my shoes on, but my mum told him to f*ck off. Surprised he's still kicking about ngl
Nick is personally my favorite out of the horror/commentary community. Mostly based just on his approach and personality but also because of covering known and less known topics.
Nick knows there’s weird shit out there so he seeks it out. Too much of the horror community is just creators reading spooky reddit stories. No ones doing it like nick.
3 reasons why Nick is such a great find on RUclips First he knows how to properly manage the ambience of a video. This may sound blatant but its a HUGE factor. These videos without the subtle / bass heavy ambient music would be a lot worse. He chooses the right tracks and mixes them properly so that you can use his videos to calm down to and really fall into the vibe and rabbit holes of darkness. It‘s a huge subtle factor. A lot of other youtubers who do similar “internet digging” just talk into the camera with no music and little to no screenshots or video footage. That really kills the vibe and enjoyability, at least to me. Second: Nick brings the topics forward in a chronological order, so it’s like a story you listen to as a viewer. The way he brought up leathersmoki for example was absolutely legendary. He made a story with meaning and depth out of that guys legacy. Third: this is more a personal thing but I am really glad that he never brings in ARGs. Real life darkness is much more intriguing and interesting. The main difference is, ARGs always push the scariness/eeriness onto the viewer. They want you to believe there is something “dark going on” while in real life events the actual context makes things dark. Like he often said “the last video of a person is always going to be tinted with a bitter taste” that goes for Oh In Hye’s last video and even Dylan Pountney’s (that guy’s last vid was literally just smoking in the car. By itself harmless/irrelevant - but within the backstory very eerie). Btw. The first 2 reasons are why a lot of people watch summoning salt. A lot of his audience doesn’t even care about speedruns etc but just the way he writes stories with ambience out of the topics makes him very watchable. Same goes for nick. Also he never fails to stand up for the weak and defenceless - may it be children or animals, which he has my big respect for!
you have big respect for someone who literally does the bare minimum of protection for others? lmao no wonder you wrote that whole convoluted ass essay
He has covered ARGs. More than once. But in those cases it wasn't immediately apparent that they were ARGs. Personally, I have specific channels I follow for ARGs and the like. What I don't like is when channels present them as if they were real. Or when they're unrealistic about the line that separates fiction from reality. I like fiction when it's presented as fiction. That's just me though.
@@shadowstar7388 I agree. I didn‘t state Args are bad in general. I think they can be interesting art projects as well but yea having a thrilling story turning out to be “just an arg” is always a bummer
I want to say I’m so impressed by your ability to find related old commercials/show bits that fit perfectly to the stories you’re telling and make them sound so Erie and be the perfect addition to your videos. Genuinely always impressed!
We need to stop giving these weirdo's access to our children. How any parent doesn't see a request like that for the sexually fetishized behavior that it is and sniff out it's predation of our youth's Innocence is crazy.
I try my hardest not to judge parenting since I don't have any experience, but honestly... It would have taken two seconds to look at his profile and see that it was something creepy. Social media is a disease and the internet was a mistake
True. It's disgusting seeing the single mothers allow their children unlimited internet access. These evil women even recorded it for him! They need their kids taken away.
@@keonkla mothers are human and we all make mistakes but this is unacceptable to me. You are right, these mothers in this video are trash because they are not putting their kids first, it’s all about the ~views~ and ~likes~ and that’s pretty despicable.
Maybe because they're fully clothed and don't have Nick's creepy voice in their ear narrating Howard's actions? If you would have done the ice bucket challenge you just as easily could have fell for this.
@@SabeFettmaybe it's just about doing something fun and productive with their kids instead of the clout? Good parents help their kids chase their dreams and develop the skills necessary to achieve them.
07:28 Call me an old fashioned parent, but if I received a random message from a complete stranger asking me to film my child taking a fully-clothed bath, I'd definitely be reporting and blocking that user. Her unquestioning compliance in doing this is symptomatic of the dangers of social media - one little bit of attention can cause people to o the most idiotic things in a quest for more and more. I'm glad that content creators like Nick are exposing this kind of thing - it's a shame that parents and the platforms themselves seem to be less concerned.
your ability to find these people and put together folders worth of information across websites and spanning back years to bring to light these people & also send it to their local police organization whether the cops actually do anything or not is incredibly noble. instead of being afraid of Chris Hanson they're gonna fear the name Nick Crowley. good job man
Those mothers who actually followed through with the challenges made me more angry, if not disgusted than the man himself.. I usually have a really thick skin for these types of videos but seeing the mothers force their kids to do that really got me deep.
@@theotheseaeagle You have a point, plenty of these social media teenagers and children who are being exploited for fame are by their own parents. It's the parents who hold the camera, manage their children and even post the content on to social media. Some go as far as to use these accounts like it was the child, when it's just them posing as their child.
I think it’s more important that they get education on it before using social media. This video demonstrates that it’s more about familiarity with social media than age that causes people to fall for these things as the parent went along with it as well. As someone who grew up in the age of social media, I think it is relatively easy for people that age to stay safe if given the right education.
this is why you’re my favorite youtuber, you cover things that are happening and aren’t already being covered and you expose those disgusting creeps who think that they can get away with their sick actions
Hey Nick and anyone else who is watching. I know you probably won’t see this but I feel like it is important. There is this RUclips channel with about a thousand subscribers but it has around a million total views I believe. It’s called Pierre Domec and it’s based around a bunch of actors dressing up as cowboys and indigenous peoples (often portraying the cowboys and us marshals as heroes and the indigenous people as villains). But that’s not even the worst part. All of these actors appear to be young girls and they are often put in situations where they are tied up or other situations. This wouldn’t be so bad if the kids themselves were running it but judging by the name and the profile picture it appears that it is all run by an older man in his 50s - 60s. I’m not sure something just doesn’t sit well with me here Edit: He seems to respond to every comment that you leave on his videos no matter how old they are so I left one trying to find out how old these actresses are and also subscribed to keep the illusion up
YES! The true crime/scary content community eats good on the days of a Nick upload! Your content never fails to disturb bro keep doing what you’re doing 🙏🏾
Being from England this guy is an embaressment to our country. He needs to be in jail for his actions. Luckily we have Stinson Hunter and I hope the 2 get to meet while Stinson is at work.
The fact you put yourself through the mental abuse of watching these things to expose the wrongdoings means a lot. Keep Being yourself Nick. The world needs you.
I mean, is it really mental abuse if he's just going through a bunch of videos of kids with their clothes on? I mean it's disgusting the intent but the videos themselves are relatively harmless to a normal person.
@Banjo Peppers You know very well what the fck they meant. Minors on the internet don't need to be talking to these old people who are strangers to them. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be talking to their teacher for example. Don't play dumb.
@@Maialeen they weren't playing dumb. Obviously it is totally understandable why a parent wouldn't want their child talking to any strange adult (strange in the sense that they don't know them) but adults can have casual conversations with kids without being creeps. A non creepy adult tho would understand if a parent said no.
Of course, Nick wants his censorship army to hunt down undesirables that the socjus TikTok users are demanding blood from for inherently irrational views
So you see a predator & you'd rather make him aware there's a potential investigation on him just to satisfy yourself and how you perceive they should be dealt with? What you're doing is potentially sabotaging them ever ending up in prison.
Wow the quality, content, detective work and overall production of Nick's vids are insanely good! Well done, one of the few, where every single vid is interesting, with new material! Cant wait to see more...
i can’t even handle the rest of this video. i love nick’s commentary, investigative nature, and the service he’s done everyone by exposing the monsters on his channel. BUT YALL. this just hit so close to home, i just dug up some memories i closed off forever a long time ago. to think so many kids are getting groomed and taken advantage of and they don’t even know is just so sad. i know some of these devils don’t stop with just asking them. they get a chance to talk to some of the kids who message back. and before the child knows it they’re doing exactly what the predator wants. the effects of being groomed so young and being taken advantage of fuck you up as you get older. realizing how wrong it was for a person who is your age now to talk to a 14 year old you. you go through a period of self doubt and blame, and it cycles like that forever. how do i cope? who can you even tell? cause just like how you never told anyone then, how could you tell anyone now? how does on even cope with those experiences? i stopped thinking of them before but i cant stop thinking of them now. you can’t, and truthfully you never did. trauma can sneak up on you. it turns into things that are familiar with you and can even be the thing you cope with. it hurts to acknowledge, because you have to feel that pain. you have to go through that cycle sometimes over and over and you don’t know when it’ll end. i’m only speaking from experience here and i don’t know anyone else’s experience with being groomed. but i know it happens way more often than we think, at least than i thought. i never thought anyone would understand the experience i went through because i never spoke up. if you’re reading this and you went through this and it’s eating you alive, you wanna escape it from following you, and you just wanna heal, find the source of those feelings. i know it’s hard but you have to confront it, acknowledged it happened and don’t blame that on you. as a child the only thing you should be concerned with is being taken care of. i’m so sorry this happened to you. you don’t need to exploit your trauma, you don’t need to tell anyone besides when you’re ready. but tell yourself about it. tell yourself that you are not to blame. that you weren’t “too naive” “you wanted it” or anything else. for me i felt like i had a voice in me that just needed to scream that stuff out. it’s like a weight being lifted off your back, or a veil over your eyes. it’s like healing your inner child. just protect yourself and be gentle. go through it with baby steps, move at your pace. you’re doing this for you now. even if it’s just a little bit at a time, count that. allow yourself and your inner self to just heal. it has to go through the bad before it gets good.and you’ll be glad you did it. i hope that one day however it comes, people that take innocence like that get what they deserve in return. these people terrorizing children like this are just sickening to even think about. i love and appreciate these videos Nick does because it shines a light inside at least one more pedo rathole.
I was groomed when I was about 16 by an older man on the internet. He got me to take my clothes off on Webcam and took screenshots, trying to blackmail me with them later. I only realized it a year ago, that I was groomed. To be honest, it doesn't bother me that much because I've been through worse, but I'm sorry it's bothering you like that. I think a lot of people have dealt with this in some way or another. Honestly, the best way I've found to deal with such things is to tell someone about it. Make sure it's someone you can really trust, though. Some people unfortunately use these things as weapons and throw them in your face. Maybe consider talking to a counselor or therapist.
@@meelabee4400 the same thing happened to me. He recorded it without me knowing and played it right for me. He told me he’d send it to my school, my mother.
My son is 6, if a stranger asked me to post a video of my son bathing, even with clothes, I would NEVER! The desperation people have for likes and comments is sickening. Just don't put your kids on the internet. Smh.
The lack of enthusiasm in Nick’s voice tells us his reaction is genuine and that he’s not forcing himself to act like this is fine on RUclips. Respect it
I really appreciate you completing blurring the kids. It's a good way to show the situation/spread awareness without making the problem worse by putting the content out there again
I will always appreciate that you take on lesser known and even unknown cases, Thank you for all of your hard work and content. Truly one of my favourite creators on this platform.
Unfortunately, the parents may not know, I for one was active on the internet at like 12 years old maybe and now it's even younger that kids are engaging in social media all without telling their parents. Probably the biggest issue is that kids don't feel like they can talk to their parents about social media especially if their parents have told them no about things before. Obviously this can all be prevented by not giving kids access to the internet, but it is a big part of growing up now and socialization so the kid may lose some of that. Of course, not getting groomed is better than not sharing similarities with everyone in your age range.
@@Tiny_Koi I really think it depends on the age. I personally think 12 is pretty young. Idk I'm paranoid and am just scared of predators on the internet.
@@Tiny_Koi Same here. I literally just had a horrifying realisation that I was probably used as fetish bait as a child. I was like 9/10 years old; it was done on a group youtube account with several classmates, so it wasn't just me using the channel. Take into account that the kid often gets into trouble if they're groomed, and yeah, I can see how the rise of apps like TikTok and Snapchat has allowed this behaviour to continue and worsen.
All of you totally had Facebook or some other shit when you were 11 years old, stop acting as if this is some new thing that started recently. Letting kids have social media of any sorts isn't the problem, the problem is not controlling what that child is doing on those social media. Fucking hell I had my first social media account when I was like 8 years old but back then we actually learned what you should and shouldn't post on the net through IT classes.
Why would a parent be willing to literally record a video of their child doing ANYTHING for a stranger online? Idc if someone wants me to record my son watching TV... the answer is f*ck no. Why do you want a video of my child? No no no.
Parents are really weird now.. Like my parents were very cautious with my online activity. They ALWAYS warned me and they were boomers... Gen X, Y, Z.... we need to step it up as parents and be the adult. You don't have to respond to every challenge. Especially if people are asking for video/pictures...
Yeah I'm sad that children don't have any anonymity to their parents. I've always thought it was odd to post your children on the internet in general even when my mom did it to me on Facebook. I'd prefer if people just sent pictures to their friends and family over text rather than posting them to public blogs forums and social media.
@Eva Braun’s New Jewish Husband you literally have no life besides asking for attention in the RUclips comments saying the same thing, over and over again 🤡 go touch grass.
Exactly!!! When I was little I'd get very annoyed and didn't understand why my parents didn't let me on the internet, obviously I know now and I'm grateful
Makes me feel a bit uncomfortable for those who participated in that old Ice bucket challenge. Although I remember the challenge was for a good cause… Could have been a dream come true for a sketchy person like this. It was so popular when I was in middle school….
Hell, for all we know, all those ice bucket challenge videos could’ve awakes something in one or two young people watching them, if you catch my drift…. Heres hoping those now twenty something-ish people aren’t using their weirdly specific ice bucket wetlook kink as an excuse to exploit children and dangerously naive moms on TikTok.
Why would anyone make their child get into water with clothes on just because some stranger on the internet asked them to 😭 even aside from it being unsafe it seems so uncomfortable and humiliating
There's so much more. Seriously. Watch what your kids do on the net. Pedos go where the kids are: kids chat rooms, kids games etc. Parks, swimming areas, gaming arcades, any kid hangout Many are praying on the young.
Nick, the work you are doing is so important. Because of you 2 million people now know about this creep, and they will likely tell others about him. Many of those people will go on to expose him in the comment sections of his videos and posts and hopefully several of those people are parents who are now know to say no to him and others like him. I know you were also successful in getting Dan Cilley"s page taken down. It's a big step in the right direction. Without videos like this one, people like Howard Newton can go on exploiting, grooming, and abusing women, children, and other people in total obscurity. Thank you for your work, Nick.
Your content is very interesting and educational. It's obvious that you spend a great amount of time on your research. Well done! Also, thank you for exposing that POS.
What the f...CK is his obsession with the " clothes on swimming" - so creepy weird. So important to double-check who your kids communicating with. Their innocent brains do not see anything wrong with these weird suggestions. Thanks for trying to find this creep
It’s probably a fetish in itself and/or he could be grooming them to eventually drown themselves. Imagine some of these children jumping into bodies of water fully clothed? It’s terrifying because by then he’s got them in dms or texts.

Well done on the video and very well done on doing absolutely all you can to help.
Oh wow. I had no idea of the "wetlook" fetish being a thing. Mud, quicksand- heck, I learned about raincoats being a fetish subject within the past few months, but I never really thought about being in wet clothing of all things being a fetish, but even in recent times certain fetish elements may fly over my head entirely. Anyway, things escalated a bit with the guy being rather persistent with that one kid, but this being a thing for years is crazy. He's yet another one of those weirdos on the internet completely obsessed with his fetish and lacking in social skills, but this is certainly more concern worthy than being an annoyance given his targets. The whole plot of him to get a so-called "charity event" going on was especially disturbing, even if it went nowhere. EDIT: About fetishes- I am aware of many, many things being fetishes to the point that it seems like just about anything can become a sexual fetish. My reaction is more about being baffled about somehow not seeing "wetlook" which seems relatively mundane and not as repelling as many other fetishes I have become familiar with.
dude there’s a fetish for EVERYTHING. ive seen a story of someone who has a fetish for Ohio as in the entire state, i dated someone who secretly had a fart fetish, i knew 2 people from school who found dogs and cats attractive. it’s so bad, and it seems like you can’t do anything without it being a fetish or someone fetishizing you :(
@@KazerOnRUclips I'm already aware of all of that (yes, even Ohio). Being thoroughly dressed in wet clothing of all things just never occurred to me until I saw it in this video. Seeing is believing. Don't be too discouraged by the fetishists, though.
I’m pretty sure wetlook is especially popular with white shirts, because they’re more see through when they get wet. Lord. Please forgive me for having to explain that. But, for your information, all times I have stumbled upon it were with people who clearly weren’t minors.
Instead of just watching people including me should be going to these websites and apps just to post awareness about this guy and his 'challenge'. I may be innocent about some things but what part of 'dare your children' not seem suspicious to these parents. That in itself is a red flag!!

First, the fbi needs to care about busting these creeps instead of ignoring them.
This is why parents need to stop filming their kids on social media. Even parents can fall for the traps when managing their kids accounts.

A kid doesn't think about the possible consequences of publishing videos on the Internet, they just focus on the fun they get, that's why it's their parents' responsibility. The parents didn't think of their kid, because then they would never upload something that intimate to the f*cking Internet. Memories from childhood should only be for the ones you love and trust. It's just beyond me how this is not obvious for everyone.
@@michellemabelle5 Read what I said carefully.
"as long as children are not involved for sexual pleasure."
When I say entertainment, I mean the "goofy playing with legos entertainment" type, as long as you're not forcing or coercing them into playing with the legos for clout or money. I completely discourage putting your child in water while wearing clothes, this is not the type of entertainment I encourage.
Here's a quick lesson just to add in to the constructive criticism: Before you reply to something, make sure you have read it meticulously and understood every word of it fairly well to avoid the Strawman fallacy, have a good day lad.
@@moatasemkassab4517 I'm sorry to disappoint you but I read everything correctly, I think you are the one who didn't read right. I didn't refer anytime to "activities that involve sexual pleasure". I mean, it's quite funny actually, this fact shouldn't even be explained, lol. I referred to "childhood memories" in general. And please, read better yourself, and if you don't get what I say, you should rethink about a lot of aspects.
@@michellemabelle5 " a precious moment from your childhood, should never be the entertainment for strangers all around the world, and it's quite concerning that a lot of people like you don't see that."
Therefore, by your logic, the famous and innocent video of the baby laughing while the paper is cut in front of him, which is a meme btw, is exploitative and absolutely horrible and should never be "for entertainment" to strangers around the world, and that every single wholesome video of a baby laughing or a child playing in the park that teaches people to be kind to their children and not be hard on them on everything, is absolutely egregious and the parents should be charged with sexual assault.
The problem with your argument is that you blame the child, and not the pedophile, it's as if you're blaming the child for arousing the pedophile, when the child was being completely innocent in the legos goofy video and wasn't sexual in any way or manner, imagine defending pedos.

The REAL issue is that parents are so aloof that they let their kids talk to a 50 year old man online, REGARDLESS of what they talk about. The internet can be a rough place. If the worst thing this guy does is ask you to bathe fully clothed, frankly you're in good hands.
What did you expect when these same parents voted for Joe Biden?
@@Junomaster2006 this literally has nothing to do with politics. Go and put your tin foil hat back on, you're in the wrong corner of YT.

Exactly, intent is EVERYTHING

It sucks that there are literally so many playlists of children on RUclips for fetish content, literally clear in plain sight and yet when you report them nothing is done about them despite the clear fetish motivation.
That's the problem with AI. It doesn't understand nuance.

Ick. Hugs, Nick.
This is how every mother should think. Sadly, they use their children for monetary gain. Sickening.
Hugs, Valeri.... 🌷🤗💙
When you support censorship but "for the children"
exactly these parents are half the cause of this
Honestly, what really makes me sick is the fact that parents are going to hear of some dumb challenge online concerning their children and suggested by a stranger, and they just hop right up and do it and film it and put it online.
Thank you for taking action and getting him fired
What is the name of the country club?
Great work! That could have gotten very dangerous for those teens.

@@jakeritmiller Nick and Nexpo are definitely my favorite
What other channels are you subscribed to? I want more channels similar to this one but I never know where to look
3 reasons why Nick is such a great find on RUclips
First he knows how to properly manage the ambience of a video.
Facts
I love summoning salt for both-especially the Mario kart speedruns
you have big respect for someone who literally does the bare minimum of protection for others? lmao no wonder you wrote that whole convoluted ass essay

I think it’s more important that they get education on it before using social media. BUT YALL. this just hit so close to home, i just dug up some memories i closed off forever a long time ago. to think so many kids are getting groomed and taken advantage of and they don’t even know is just so sad. i know some of these devils don’t stop with just asking them. they get a chance to talk to some of the kids who message back. and before the child knows it they’re doing exactly what the predator wants. the effects of being groomed so young and being taken advantage of fuck you up as you get older. realizing how wrong it was for a person who is your age now to talk to a 14 year old you. you go through a period of self doubt and blame, and it cycles like that forever. how do i cope? who can you even tell? cause just like how you never told anyone then, how could you tell anyone now? how does on even cope with those experiences? i stopped thinking of them before but i cant stop thinking of them now. you can’t, and truthfully you never did. trauma can sneak up on you. it turns into things that are familiar with you and can even be the thing you cope with. it hurts to acknowledge, because you have to feel that pain. you have to go through that cycle sometimes over and over and you don’t know when it’ll end.
i’m only speaking from experience here and i don’t know anyone else’s experience with being groomed. but i know it happens way more often than we think, at least than i thought. i never thought anyone would understand the experience i went through because i never spoke up. if you’re reading this and you went through this and it’s eating you alive, you wanna escape it from following you, and you just wanna heal, find the source of those feelings. i know it’s hard but you have to confront it, acknowledged it happened and don’t blame that on you. as a child the only thing you should be concerned with is being taken care of. i’m so sorry this happened to you. you don’t need to exploit your trauma, you don’t need to tell anyone besides when you’re ready. but tell yourself about it. tell yourself that you are not to blame. that you weren’t “too naive” “you wanted it” or anything else. for me i felt like i had a voice in me that just needed to scream that stuff out. it’s like a weight being lifted off your back, or a veil over your eyes. it’s like healing your inner child. just protect yourself and be gentle. go through it with baby steps, move at your pace. you’re doing this for you now. even if it’s just a little bit at a time, count that. allow yourself and your inner self to just heal. it has to go through the bad before it gets good.and you’ll be glad you did it.
i hope that one day however it comes, people that take innocence like that get what they deserve in return. these people terrorizing children like this are just sickening to even think about. i love and appreciate these videos Nick does because it shines a light inside at least one more pedo rathole.

The fact that parents put their children on the internet or let their kids have a social media page/channel disturbs me.
ikr absolutely disturbing
