Wally's is absolutely amazing. Pulled into one by happenstance while traveling. For those people saying it looks sparse and empty, trust me, this video did not do it justice. And the jerky is awesome. Every time I go to a Wally's, I leave with no less than 4 pounds of it.
Best place for jerky, pop selection, brisket sandwiches, and clean bathrooms!
Oh, and popcorn!
Love Wally's!! My family will go out of the way to hit Wally's when we visit relatives. The merch area is amazing with literally anything you may need, such as a last minute present. Plus who doesnt love a novelty tee or the adorable Wally Bear. Dont knock it, unless you've seen it.

I've been to this place enough to know the race isn't even close, and until wallys puts 10 stores on I-10 alone there is no competition.
Buc-cees isnt worried about competition. They've been doing it for 40 years.

They're going to open a Wally's in Whitestown, IN. Very close to where I work. I have a feeling I'll be grabbing some lunch there to eat at work before my shift starts.
Looks pretty much like a Buc-ee’s clone, they even have the same exact labels on their BBQ and food products as Buc-ee’s. Similar merch and knick knack type stuff too.
Of course competitors are going to pop up and try to out do the top dog
(or beaver), but that’s good for the consumer out on the road!
One of the best things about stopping at Buc-ee’s during a long road trip is that they always have the best gas prices around and they are always consistent, so you know exactly what to expect when you go there. Next time I travel up that way I’ll certainly pop in to Wally’s, that’s kind of a no brainer.
Capitalism breeds competition and competitive pricing which is not a bad thing by any means, bring it on, the more the merrier!
Yes they are obviously copying Buc-ees, but when you copy something awesome it means you are awesome too!

they have chopped or sliced. the chopped is very fine, the sliced has nice thick slices and they aren't overcooked.

Kwik Trip/Kwik star is still better. Cheese curds beats beaver nuggets. Plus they have their own dairy and make the best ice cream!
I can confirm that Kwik Trip is a great gas station. They sell raw meat!

Do they ban trucks and don't have inside or outside tables to eat at like with Buc-ee's ? That lack of tables to eat at is a real negative against Buc-ee's.
Trucks are allowed at Wally's but I don't think a trucker would want to fuel up there. I don't recall seeing much seating at Wally's, maybe a few picnic tables out back.

Why would you want to turn your family travel center into a dirty truck stop? Also there's just to many people that visit buc-ees to have seating for every single person. You'd have to some type of big pavilion for that.

Are you out of your mind? Wally's restrooms are immaculately clean. An attendant is in there who cleans up the stalls immediately after one is used. I am the type of person that absolutely hates using public restrooms for taking a dump. I cannot stand to sit on a toilet I don't know because they just gross me out. But in a Wally's, I have no issues. It looks clean and smells clean. I would park my hind end on a Wally's toilet any time. And trust me, coming from me, that's really high praise.

Kind of reminds me a of a somewhat scaled down Bucees. Inside looked some how a little sparse. Sorry Wally, my go to will remain Buc Ees. Now and forever. Now, where did I put my bag of beaver nuggets?
This place looks sad. Once you go to a Buc-ee's you will get it. Buc-ee's has great food and very clean restrooms. It's very busy. Everything is reasonably priced from the gas to food and their own brand of snacks. They make fresh potato chips in house every day. Fresh made potato chips vs popcorn? Not even close for me. Bucee’s has cheap gas, but their food is awful. Everything tastes processed. I will say that Bucee’s still looks more inviting than this place.

I have been to Wallys in St louis. Its clean and full of snacks but is a shameless bucees rip-off. Its no where near as fun and doesnt have the merchandise and following.

Well the people that work at Buc-ee’s told me that Casey’s bought them out! Next thing you know they became Casey’s! Casey’s is a shitty gas station when compared to Buc-ee’s! I don’t go to Casey’s unless it’s a last resort! Besides Woodman’s is killing them in gas prices way cheaper than Casey’s!
