I love The Menu. My favorite part is when Margo looks back at the room, the cheating man's wife waves her on to go. She's the one who would of had the most "deserved" animosity towards Margo and with a little wave the wife almost like clears any guilt Margo may of had about the situation
She did say she reminded her of her daughter as well so I think there’s a hint the wide knew what her husband did to her daughter and ignored it and the guilt ate her up so badly that when she came to the restaurant she was willing to die

@@ladycobrana852 yes I get that part but the commenter said it was also hinted the wife *knew* he was doing or at least imagining doing horrible things to their daughter and she felt guilty about it and I just wanted to know how they came to that conclusion

21:18 I guess in a way it is - she's using her skills as a prostitute, she's finally figured out the role he wants her to play. That's a part of being a sex-worker, know what your client wants from you, what role he wants you to play, both in terms of sex and if he's hired you to be his date which means he's paying you for your company as well your body, in terms of who he wants to spend the evening with. She's tried numerous tactics on him and it didn't work, and now she's figured out how to seduce him by playing the dissatisfied customer who is giving him a challenge, who wants him to prove himself by saying 'I don't think you can', and through that has helped him to enjoy what he's doing and to want to cook for someone by bringing back the memory of those times.

I don’t know if you have seen it yet, but if you love Anya Taylor Joy you should DEFINITELY watch The Witch (2015) It was her debut performance and it is an incredible piece of horror (also being Eggers’ debut film)

Fun fact, if you didn't know (tough to know because they obviously don't look alike), but Chef, Ralph Fiennes, plays Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter series.
P.S. I think this movie is a masterpiece. So many motifs and metaphors about industry workers (of all sorts), modern food culture, socioeconomic dynamics, what it is to be an artist (and the sacrifices artists choose to make in order to master their craft, and what happens when they sell out), the concept of life and death, and the simple beauty of a Well Made Cheeseburger.... the last time he truly enjoyed cooking for people who truly loved his food. She played it perfectly, you can see Ralph Fiennes' subtle expressions of joy as he cooks his final meal. It was unplanned, but she truly did complete The Menu.
i think the word "sophisticated" is on spot to describe this movie, my dumbass had to watch it twice to understand what really happened lol

I went to your video and about half-way through decided to watch the movie myself. Came bac and watched the last half... goddamn amazing movie. I rarey laugh ut loud whn im alone but i had laughing fits thoughout the whole movie. 9/10 (but only because i really wanna know what Chef whispered to Tyler)
