Always saddened me that so many people see the H2 as “just” a fast bike. It’s so much more than that. It’s Kawasaki’s pride and engineering prowess and passion rolled into an amazing machine. The RUclipsrs that motovlog with it don’t respect the bike for what it is, only for its power and the clout that comes with owning one. It’s just disappointing.
I’m glad to see that you respect the story behind this amazing motorcycle too.

Grew up when the GPZ was the one to have, can’t imagine how epic the H2R is. Not sure if you’d managed to bag a ride on that?? Well the GSXR 1000 is the fastest 0-60, at 2.3 seconds or something stupid, not competition enough! lol There are a few quicker bikes after that too apparently.
My 22 y/o ZX9r will give it a good go low down before it's left, as it's not stock. Stock was 0-60 in 3 secs (stock H2 2.6-2.9 depending on source (maybe model year idk). But tbf this is all theoretical, on paper so to speak, time to take them all to Santa Pod 😁🏍💨

    • @HalfdeadRider
      @HalfdeadRider 2 года назад

@@Nekminute Yea 200 on your personal, non stock bike, it is possible quite easily with some tuning and tuning mods (yours is FI, mine is carbbed, easy tuned myself). But stock ZX12r it's just under 190 as you know.
But I think you ignored the 0-136 time lol, of the old heavy 98-99 C1 & C2 ZX9r, the E & F models obvs are even lighter and faster remember lol. So after that 140 or so with a later model ZX9r, up to 170 you won't get far ahead at all, then you'd creep away to the 190.
The only real world difference is that you'll use more fuel for the same fun.
Pity you're not local, would be fun to test them together and swap bikes for some fun.

That thing is just in a class of its own. About the only antidote to that I can think of, unfortunately, has blue twinkly lights attached. The enginerding that went into producing that machine is at the absolute pinnacle of precision and shows that mama Kwak really does know best. I seriously doubt that there will ever be another Dino powered machine built, by any manufacturer, that matches the vision they obviously had when that thing was just a scribble on a napkin. I wanted to own a H2 also one day or at least get the chance to ride a flashed one too but with them not being produced anymore it's not likely :( .
My H2SX makes 230 rear wheel horsepower and I love it I also have a slight snatchy throttle so keep my hands on the front brake to counteract it when it jumps off when you come back on xD

Am interested to know your thoughts on the proposed “anti tamper legislation”? If it gets pushed through and they make it retrospective what will you do with the H2? Will you revert the exhaust system or take your chances?

Some parts of the World get the red blood version, probably South Africa etc. alas the EU forced Kawasaki to limit european bikes or get banned as the police cars could not catch them. Hence my handle the unrestricted ZX12R, I loved that bike even though it was built by amatuers

I know the SX, and the ZH2 have different internals on the engine, but the fact that Brock's has the ZH2 up to 245 wheel with just a tune and exhaust is amazing. Once guys start changing SC gears, intercooler, bigger injectors, the only thing holding them back is what power level will break the internals. These are amazing motors.

I have a 2016 Kawasaki H2 as part of a Superbike collection of both Euro and Japanese latest models . Love the H2 fun , brutal acceleration and very comfy for a superbike .
FYI....The 2019 up kawasaki H2 DID NOT have 228hp as listed by kawasaki . When tested the Kawasaki H2 had the same 200hp as its previous models .

I think Kawasaki totally missed a golden opportunity to more accurately pay homage to the original H1 and H2 TRIPLES. First off I was a Kawi mechanic in the early 70s so I rode and tuned a LOT of triples (even though personally I rode an Yammie RD) Secondly I just purchased a Yamaha 900cc triple which so brings back the feeling the triples gave even though they were 2 strokes. My point is that Kawasaki COULD have SHOULD have created a TRIPLE to honor the H2 name sakes! idk maybe supercharging a triple would have problems though I cant imagine why but if not it could have been SO awesome if they had made it say a supersharged 1000cc TRIPLE with the same kind of wonderful nature Yamaha's CP3 possesses on on STEROIDS! I think they messed up not doing so! It also would have helped offset the pork issue with the H2 which is afterall pretty overweight if you ask me...

    Hi Chops.
48yrs old now, got grandad rights...
Passed my Class 1 C+E last year, only missing PCV and Bikes.
Made a promise to myself that I will fill every category on my licence before I'm dead.
Considering doing direct access for Bikes.
Which bikes do you recommend to progress through for someone who is pretty good on a mountain bike but has only ever rode a 50cc Peugeot Moped.
My balance is fairly good, and obviously, being HGV, my road craft is up there, but I have almost zero motorbike experience.
    What do you advise?

I wonder if you could share some details about riding experience. I know you had a liter super bike and I also have a ZX10R. When you ride the H2 does it feel a lot larger and heavier? I enjoy riding roads with sweeping curves at 30-80mph. I would not describe them as tight roads but definitely very curvy. Also wondering about riding position compared to the ZX10R or your GSXR? More relaxed riding position? Thanks!

Where does it end? You’ll have to talk to someone who owns a 500hp turbo BUSA I guess. Maybe someone who has owned one of them for a few years, if you can find one of those. Does such a person dream about having 600hp, or maybe 500hp that corners like a MotoGP bike? The funny thing about that question, “where does it end?” is that we always think, “the end is just around the corner”, but it’s not.
I had the pleasure of owning a red and black 1986 1000 Ninja. Compared to my previous Yamaha FJ1100, it seemed to slip through the air so much easier and it was the fastest production bike ever made, topping out at just over 160 mph. Seemed like that was already as insane as it would ever get. But, the party was just getting started.
I still regret selling that bike. It was so good at sport touring. I used to load it up like a pack mule and ride the best roads for weeks at a time, alternating between camping at night and cheap hotel rooms. You see, feel and smell everything so much more on a motorcycle. You aren’t just passing through, cocooned in a steel box, you are in the environment. You feel every temperature change as you drop down into a canyon or climb up a mountain side, you smell every change in vegetation and there is nothing blocking your view. Every day is an adventure and you feel so alive. The sense of freedom is impossible to explain, and maybe it’s unique to those who were born to do it.
Sometimes I think back and try to calculate how many corners I took at speeds that would make the average human being scream in sheer terror. It is an impossible task, there were too many. I still own and ride a couple of bikes. A 2000 VFR, that became my new sport touring ride after the ‘86 100 Ninja and a black, 2006 CBR1000RR for more serious riding. No electronic nannies on either of them. They’re old technology now, but so am I. At 70 years old, I don’t get out on them as much as I used to. A battle with Stage 4 Cancer has also taken its toll on my strength and energy, but I still get out for a rip every once in a while. It still feels like freedom.

Ok so like many I’m seriously conflicted lol. So what is your opinion of h2sxse compared to your h2 . Are they both good for long rides? Is the h2 a track day bike or is it still too heavy? I’ve seen a few videos of sesx on track .I imagine it’s not as easy to throw around but compared to the h2 how is it? I feel like my top 4 are h2,h2sxse,Ducati panigale v4s, Ducati super sport s. I would like the option to go to track day but also want to just ride and not be completely nakered after an hour lol. Really love your videos and look forward to hearing from you and seeing more.

Love what you've done to your bike. I have a 2017 too, and am looking to get rid of the cat. I see you have, is that a legal option? Also aren't mirrors mandatory? Thanks.
As for the groinchy clutch, I have had the same problem, but I get her serviced by a Kawasaki dealer and they lube the activator rod for me every time it's in.
