- Many people have been asking me how does the new 2021Suzuki Hayabusa compare to my Kawasaki Ninja H2? I though the best way to answer them was to ride each and do a comparison.
VOLUME UP!! The H2 sounds incredible 😎

H2 sound raucous and angry. The Hayabusa sounds civilized with that quiet understated power more than willing to smite thee - if it has to. I'd prefer to live with the big Suzuki.
Never ridden the h2 but have ridden the new Busa and I want one. Really good bike. super smooth, super comfortable and super capable. Also keep in mind MCN said the new Busa is the fastest production bike they have ever tested which is a serious statement. Bruce anstein did a 2.6 second 0-60 with all rider aids turned off. Amazing bike I need one.
That H2 is absolutely savage! So special and deserves a place in the garage! 🤩
ONLY an H2 can have a conservative tune with 250hp! Its just utterly ridiculous!
That H2 definitely is a special bike Chops. Smiles for miles Pal. A Japanese sympathy orchestra of incredible sound. Thanks for the bonus vid👍🏻🔝🎬🎥🆒
Listening to your voice- on the Busa it's smooth, on the H2 to you sound like a broken microphone.
The Hayabusa has a stock exhaust while the h2 has a full vandemon exhaust WITH the baffle in. I have a yoshi alpha on my SX and while it's not that loud at a stop, it can get decently loud at higher rpms. I couldn't go for the vandemon just for how much it costs and how loud it is. Cops where I am are pulling people over for noise ordinance violations.
As a tall rider in my 40s I find the gen 3 hayabusa to be nearly the perfect twisties/SPORT Touring bike out there today. Your comment on the view was spot on. Plenty of power but comfortable for long aggressive rides.
The H2 is awesome for an afternoon rip, the Busa is awesome for a multi day trip.
I also think the busa being under stressed and naturally aspirated will have much better longevity than the H2, but we will see.
I bought the busa, the H2 is an awesome bike to have borrow from a friend for a day or two :)
Interesting review, I test rode the new Hayabusa when they first came available and went on to buy a secondhand H2 SX SE in May. The Suzuki has a smoother engine, slicker gearbox and a 'magic carpet' ride over bumps, it also has a long wheelbase and relatively slow steering so you need to set it up for corners in advance. The riding position is a bit odd, feet feel up and forward and bars relatively low, not painful but a bit 1990's. My Kwak (now with set up suspension & remap) has a motor that feels more urgent than the Suzuki and is at least as strong through the rev range although the box is not as smooth. For a big bike it handles very well, doesn't quite absorb bumps as well but is sharper and more agile. Riding position is more relaxed on the wrists and is more conventional and knder on the knees with lower pegs than the Busa. Equipment levels are very similar but crucially my bike comes with superb Kawaski panniers and also provides a pillion with a better view of what's going on with its stepped seat. I could easiy have gone for the Hayabusa but now I have my H2 set up as I want it I'm glad I saved a few quid and went for that instead as for me its now the sportier and more complete bike.
compaire to ZX14 to Busa be great !!! thanks
Sounds like you’ve got a soft spot for that busa chops👌
It's a good title Chops but you definitely should've instead called it 'Alien vs Predator' . Missed opportunity!
One's a brash, muscle bound youngster, possibly on drugs ! The other is James Bond, who can still wrap your arm behind your back and probably do naughty things to your wife when you're not looking ......!
.. LoL!! 😂
That H2 is an evil snarling fire breathing vicious bastard which more or less says get out of the way, the Suzuki is the product of government regulation but it’s still there hiding behind it’s whisper quiet Euro 5 cans. Both great bikes in their own way 👍
The H2 is so special, I regret selling mine. Even though it was uncomfortable, and the ergos were _weird_ not bad, just a little strange. And the seat had all the padding of a park bench. It's just special.
Hey
Will there be new Hypermotard Videos?
Regards
Two great machines which make it difficult to choose between them. The sensible side of me would say the Busa but the lunatic side of me would say the H2.
Awesome bike comparison with great camera angles too. It must take some time editing this footage Chops.....I wouldn't know where to start. 🤣
Great job buddy. 👍😊
I'd like to see them both on a runway, 1/4 mile 1/2 mile, and full mile, would be good and I think the busa would be a surprise over the 1st two 👍
tuned 250hp h2 would DESTROY the busa like it was standing still.
@@mycobrahatesyou OK Mr kawasaki, a tuned ie forced induction busa would fuck most kawasakis on the planet, ask Mr Moore in the states 👌 and his was normally assperated, all the quickest forced induction bikes are suzuki's, just because suzuki are so shit they won't build a stock one doesn't mean in the world of "tuned" bikes suzuki doesn't still rule 👌
@@backwheelbob46rr What he said requires an ECU flash which is the furthest thing from an induction change possible. My Z900 is tuned by Moore, for whatever that's worth.
Well, thanks to you I want both of them, Chopsy
The sound of that H2 is something else!
But overall the H2 looks like a bit of a clumsy monstrosity compared to the Bugatti-like refinement of the big 'Busa.
Maybe I'm getting old but max horsepower isn't everything? wow can't believe I just said that...
Thanks for the comparo and your previous review. 👍
I totally agree with this comment a year later! 😅
I have seen you wear both the urban pro (Not sure if it is the v2) and zephyr (Not sure if it is the pro) on your videos which do you feel gives higher safety, good airflow, better fitting for you and what size do you get re chest size, build ? Please can you let me know thanks
I love the busa but the h2 is a monster. When I first seen the h2 I fell in love. Futuristic style, supercharger sounds, and brutal power.
That H2's sound... good God... The Hayabusa maybe be as competent as it gets, but the H2 is one of the craziest, most unique, most savage bikes ever made. I absolutely love it.
You sound so happy and relaxed on the busa and very stressed on the Kawasaki. I think you need to try alternate bov’s….
Thumbs up as usual sir! Don't understand why you got rid of that gixxer though for the H2. I understand it's unique and powerful etc but we both know you'd be faster on any of those roads you ride, or track, on the gixxer!
Chubbied up listening to the H2...oh my day's what a machine.
H2SX all day, Sorry.......
Just got my Hayabusa about a month ago. I've been very curious about this comparison thank you so much. By the way, who's the one guy so far that gave his video a thumbs down? We should figure out a way to have reviews on the viewers to make sure that they don't get to watch quality content like this. Great video as always keep up the good work!
Thanks for the post Mr. Chops. Both epic bikes, no doubt. For a motorcyclist up to mid-fifties (ish), on good roads (UK??🤔), little traffic restrictions and license-losing speed cameras, it has to be the H2. With aforesaid restrictions, a few more wrinkles and grey hairs and the old rationality spirit barking in to your ears, it’s the Busa, no question. I guess that’s why you’ll end up with a Busa; you know it makes sense.
I bought the Hayabusa yesterday, thanks to you buddy 😊👍🏼
Brilliant review, chops. The H2 is fantastically pointless and probably not the “better” bike when comparing like for like, but and it’s a big but, it’s the one that gets your heart. Since when has the heart v head question been easy to answer. On every topic the ‘busa is probably “better”, which is why the H2 is such a unique thing and almost unbelievable it even exists. Either way, enjoy!!!! Cheers. 👍👍👍
Its probably best that you don't get out on that H2 too often.Cheers.
The H2 sounds like a Nazgûl with bad hang over when you let off the throttle.
That's because he has an after market waste valve installed for the airbox if I remember right. It covers the chirp a little bit and I like hearing it. So it wouldn't be a mod for me. But each bike to their owner.
Hard to believe there’s someone out there having difficulty choosing between the two…. Completely different bikes…. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Hi Chops from South Africa 🇿🇦. Love the channel and your content. keep us the excellent work bud.
the busa does not sound bad with its standard pipes. It looks horrendous, but does not sound bad, especially when it's higher up the range.
Hey chopsy, it would be so interesting to see the busa vs S1000RR, as an everyday bike, thank you
Man I love that h2
Great vid as always Mr chops 👍
Cant wait to get one myself
All the best 👍
Excellent video give 7 stars out of 7×××××××. Commentary is the highest level 😊
Damn - I'd take both.
H2 for that adrenaline fix and Busa for marinating in power.
It's a refined but still raw musclebike H2 vs a luxury leir jet of a bike hayabusa. both electronics controlled, both very powerful and fast! but totally different animals! busa is like a truckload of your favorite ice cream. H2 is like jumping off a 500ft cliff but knowing you have a parachute. of course if you put turbo on that busa it would likely beat up the H2 for about same total money.. however it would change the busa into what it half was never meant to be, and take away everything civilized and relaxing about it. great comparison video! 😊 what made the busa famous is being so comfy, so practical, so civilized, yet from any gear any rpm you can go hyper fast!! the H2 famous for that supercharger sound, performance and potential top speed. buy either of these and you better have a tankbag full of donuts for the cops!! 😆
Hayabusa = ultra high speeds in relative comfort
H2 = warp machine
Great video Chops, even if a bit unfair? Standard stock Busa naturally aspirated v super charged heavily modified H2. Chalk and cheese. £25k v £17k? Good to hear your thoughts though. I feel you fancy a Busa?👍😁😁
Liked before watching. Of the two I won't be able to choose. Tough choice. The H2 looks good but would be tiring to ride. Completely the reverse for the Busa.
i personally don't see the point in the busa tbh. it's a tourer type but you can't put luggage on it, it sounds like it's just a slightly more comfortable sportsbike with a bit more grunt lower down........ a super naked then? i think that's why kawasaki ended production of their zx14... it doesn't really fit in anywhere
If you put loud Yoshis on the beloved Busa I would have to disown ya mate!
Being mature comes with privilege and responsibility! Get off that crotch-rocket and ride into the sunset on the Busa 😂
Chops you drive me mad! I bought an smcr on the back of your build series and now I’m on eBay looking at h2s can you stop it please. Cheers.
The H2 sounds like a flock of Zombie Sparrows.
Hayabusa is boring love my H2 do heaps of long rides, also ride dads H2SX but that’s boring also
Never used the hayabusa on track and saying it will not perform great on a racetrack.... great reviews 🤣
Hi Chops , can you get your hands on the SX H2 ,? . A better comparison to the Busa .( Maybe 🤔)
It should be noted that the 'Busa can be tuned, or turbo'd to put out as much power as you could want - hence why it's the drag-racers bike of choice.
I have both of these bikes amongst others, and must say I totally agree with this comparison.
Monstrous bikes which are designed for either the track or the autobahn.
I do wish motor journalists would avoid wide angle lenses; they distort the image and you can't take in the view of the vehicle properly and they create a false impression of speed. Wide angle lenses are for estate agents.
I have a H2 and 2 other sports bikes and i'm not sure what you're on about with the seat saying its rock hard like a piece of plywood, the seats nothing like that, kind of lost interest in your video when you start just saying random things like that.
Geez I need an event like that H2 in my life! Great video and commentary. Enjoyed every bit. Really got a sense of the differences in the bikes.
"Bit of beanidge" haha! Great video Chops
Stay with the H2 chops Hayabusa looks like one of the tin kids toys from the 60s little wheels on a big body not a fan sorry 😢
Ive got both bikes and the busas like a bentley gt and the H2 a lambergini 😅
Both bikes superb, depends on the mood , if you want Frantic then H2 , if you want Fantastic then Busa 😀👍
So, to sum up the H2 is an event to ride?
I love my Gen 2 Busa, I like the new one, but not enough to trade her in!
I just checked with Suzuki Canada online, and the new 'Busa is sold out !
Searching for Suzuki dealers now...
and we all want to see a race !!!! not this stupid comparisons!!!!!
just stick a turbo on a old busa new one is very honda and dare i say boring compared to h2r
You are comparing the Busa to the wrong Kawasaki. The ZX14R is the only bike it can be compared.
Yes indeed!
2 different world those 2 bikes one is a track monster the other is a couch with wheels on it
Trust me Chops don't ever sell that H2!
Not even seen the intro yet, but this need to be hit with a serious thumbs up straight away! 👍
When you opened that H2 up, that's the sound of being alive 😍😍😍😍😍
Your not kidding " every time I take the h2 out I'm buzzing for days, it's unique 😅
From where did you buy an H2? I've been looking into UK for about 2 months to buy one but can't find it with no dealership. Thank you
It was from Rite Bike but that was 3 years ago. Not many new ones about now I bet
What about the h2 sx se? Touring vs touring instead of super touring vs super sport
Hayabusa isn't a tourer and the H2 isn't a super sport...
Sell the H2 and get a Busa and the s1000rr 👍
Comparison ? You must be on drugs !!!
If these bikes were Film characters the Busa is Batman and the H2 is the Joker.
Ironically, the H2 is the closest to looking like a batmobile out of all the bikes.
H2 sx is can compare more to Hayabusa
Excellent vid as ever...
One & Only King Hayabusa 🇵🇰👑😎
Bloody love it, i want one to be naughty on ;)
That H2 sounds mental, and thats the best looking back wheel in the biz. Are those front wings to decapitate children? As I'm not ready for my Mrs to cash in on my life insurance, I'll go for the Busa. But I've always loved Suzukis.
hi Gary. I got goosebumps when I read your comment, and although I know you meant it as a joke, my brother in lost his life on his H2 and the rider he hit (head on), his head was decapitated. not a sight anyone should witness. Head lying in the middle of the road.
@@zunaidkajee4540 so so sorry my friend
What a ride that H2.🤪
It's truly the devil sitting on your shoulders lol.
You need all your self control and more Chops..
I don't know how it could feel, but I'm already smiling from ear to ear on my GSXR 600 once it hits 10k rpms and it starts to take off.
I can only use the full power of it on track days.
Hayabusa stands no chance xD
Win Kawasaki moto GP 😂
Who are the 9 tossers who dislike this?
That H2 sounds like it wants to kill you !!lol
I bought a ZX-14 after test riding it and the 'Busa in 2008. That Kawasaki was way more comfortable than the Suzuki, so I bought it to ride 12,000 kms around North America. It was the right choice then, but now I've watched a bunch of 'Busa ride videos - (Chopsie's are the best) I am desperate to go out and test the new Hayabusa ASAP.
I haven't owned a Suzuki since my 1980 Dunstall Suzuki 1000 in 1981 (a lightly used '80 model).
At my age (69) I'll be happy to leave it stock and quiet. I am so past loud pipes now after several Ducatis...
Sort out a H2 MEET chops 👍
Suzuki should have had the Busa with a turbo or supercharger. Or at least a top of the line version with one that would serve as a halo machine.
The H2 is so much more special.
I've got both. You nailed it. Superbly accurate. Mine's an unplugged 253hp H2. Considering Supercharger step up gears for 300hp+ (stage 3, not 4 as don't need the extra heat, or weight). Good for 300hp without an intercooler & overheating. Amazing. Optional intercooler (from Ben at Extreme Creations just down the road from me in Sydney, Aus), though not really needed as it still stays cool until 300hp+ unless unless you're Eeeb 6 something & his idiot stretched friends. Prefer not to have the extra intercooler weight.
No comparison. H2 is wild (every ride is an experience, unlike any other bike), Hayabusa GT could send you into an intercontinental sleepy haystack /armco going to South of France. 100 times more respect for the "serious" H2. Deadly weapon! Demands respect, like an Ak 47. No comfort to ensure there's no drifting off. Best bike ever built (well beyond belief). Keep safe & switched on! H2 - "Are you experienced?!" enough to stay alive?
Your H2 my god!!! Thank you for the entertainment! Even better than the BBC!!!
Excellent, enjoyable vlog as usual. Thanks 👍. It does beggar belief that Suzuki produce a Bugatti Veyronesk, mile munching motorcycle but with no capacity to carry luggage. 🤦
Oh Mr Chops, what a treat to see this video. I'm still working on the house. I've stopped for a coffee and 23 minutes of H2 and Hayabusa. Clearly very different bikes you've captured each of them wonderfully. The sounds from the H2 😳 however the busa is the one I would choose (I would have one tomorrow if funds allowed). Good work yet again with a top quality video 👍
@Lamb Chop Rides do u reckon a 750 gsxr is doable for only fun rides (ie no commuting) in the week/weekend with the missus on the back?
Just love your videos Chops you make them great fun and that’s what biking is all about. “Having Fun”. Totally agree with everything you say buddy. I love both bikes even tho the H2 is “not” for me I still think it’s a fantastic machine. Thanks again for another cracking video
Awesome vid lol. That H2 is savage & sounds like it's tearing a hole in the fabric of space & time lol. I love the Hayabusa but the H2 is something else. People ask what's the Hayabusa for but a better question is what the hell is the H2 for? Going mind bendingly fast with a brutal soundtrack is the answer.
Have my gen 3 busa a month now and loving it , Just back from Armoy Road races 903 kms journey in 2 days on it & was comfortable , I wouldn’t like to try that trip on a h2 to be honest
Whilst the H2 is basically useless for everything except knobbing 😁 i hope you can keep her around for a long time to come. Love any vid with your H2 in it Chops
Great review Chops! Only bike in the garage?… But could you live with the looks? 🤔 Total marmite bike, definitely not for me😆
Hey Chops, you can tell that your definitely not been paid off by anyone or motorcycle manufacturer. This is why your opinion on just about anything ranks highly in my book. What an interesting review to say the least. Keep plugging away. Your at the top of vlogging, my opinion only, 🍻
The h2 definitely looks like the alien, I’m still not a fan of that dump valve, it just makes me think of a modified chavvy hatchback, don’t get me wrong I would love to own one but of the two if o was buying with my own money I would take the new hayabusa.
how would the H2R compare against say, a 10 year old Busa running a stage 2 TTS supercharger . thats no doubt a cheaper option than the H2 .
When you gonna get the H2 up to Santa Pod Chops?
You know it makes sense, and I reckon you'll beat your view record to date 😉😎
