This was by far the best boat racing coverage ever done! The Starlink technology brought by Roger Norman from Off-Road to Offshore, greatly enhanced the efforts of Nigel Hook and Janet Wilson to bring the excitement of real offshore racing to viewers internationally! There will be some tweaking for sure, but Martin Sanborn is an excellent commentator! What a fabulous day and event!
It would have been nice, if they had pre-interviewed the racers, had previous footage so when they were out of range,it would not just be long long segments of the interior of one boat - Have footage ready to go, when you need it, and it makes for a constant interest of the viewer - the two Narrators were great - nice voice modulation and interesting too. Helicopter footage was hand held, but if you notified several TV stations, they probably would enjoy covering with their digital stableized camera mounts, to make an enjoyable program. who ever set up the audio for interviews, needs to do better as well - I know its a huge job, however back in the day I put together interesting video - am sure the participants would chip in to make it very professional. @@OceanCup Considering this was the first time this technology was used in an offshore race, I believe the coverage was outstanding and enjoyable to watch. Give them a chance to do it again and I am sure we will see improvements like those mentioned!

As a founding member of the Ocean Cup team, and the camera man in the chopper, we're proud of the show we produced, but we know we can do better with a little practice. The entire Ocean Cup media team worked tirelessly on getting this put together. There is a lot of technology involved - much of which is new to offshore racing. Missing sounds is missing 98% of the feeling. It is a must for future footage but nice work othervise.
