Thanks man you guys are doing such a great job. Its not just for yourself but it's for everyone. Passing ideas that helps and motivate others to do so. Stay blessed
Would have been really nice if you had fitted them to the bike and marked out the light position so it was pointing straight back instead of downward when the pegs are down. Cool concept though.
Agree on the concept, excellent idea. Being rear pegs don’t have to have that slant angle as do with front pegs as they grind on the road, couldn’t the frame brackets be realigned to a vertical position (90deg to ground). Then the peg angle will be more vertical allowing a more clear view to drivers/riders behind.
100% I could of done this however it’s I like it the way it is and it’s just a bit of extra light so to me I like the subtle look the you don’t even know it’s there until they come on. And trust me, they are plenty bright 👍😊
Those break lghts/foot pegs looks amazing. Was so much fun watching you make them. Where are you getting them tiny brak lights? I need some of them for my bike builds.
With your knurling do more then one pass. Go up stop it don't back out and go back ( put the lathe in reverse) the other way do that as many times as you like, usually twice up and back and your pattern will come out properly!
@@CafeRacerGarage I'm curious if you have any plans for part fabrication for 1981 Suzuki Gs650g. I'm working on a project now, not much has been done with this model that is very "inspiration" to go by. It is a shaft driven. Not very popular with the Cafe community. Thus, that's why I went with it. Lol thanks mate! Keep the videos coming!
So jealous of your tools. I would kill for a lathe, or even just a milling machine/high quality drill press ir steel cutting bandsaw. All I got it a crappy old drill n press, belt grinder and hand held grinder. I do have a welder which is nice but man it's tough to shape metal without the right tools. You're parts all come out looking so nice and clean.
Thank you so much mate, I have acquired many tools over many years doing different jobs. We can easily justify spending money on the things we love right :)
To find center of the peg, you'd touch of the jaws with an edge finder. First, touch off one jaw, then zero it on the DRO, then move the edge finder to the other jaw, find that edge, then divide that number in half. That number will be center.
@@CafeRacerGarage I forgot to mention, this has to be done once the peg is tightened in the vice, since one jaw moves. But I like your to with the ruler, very handy.
Like it Dan, I like it a lot. Would have these on my bike too just not the pillion peg but the main pegs. Will you be going in to production, may be a limited edition ?!!?
Just found your channel and am really enjoying your approach. I'm still trying to find any suitable donor bike near me and at a reasonable price.. That seems to be a challenge in the UK. Great content, thanks!
If your knurl wasnt quite what you wanted, could have used a single point thread cutting tool, very high pitch, double helix, one right hand, another left hand
Well Dan as always a great video . Seems your spoiling yourself just making excuses to use use the mill .lol. great idea with the magnets . Another solution that's simple but out the box . Cheers
If unfolded, the brakelight will shine at a 45° degree to the ground. Change the 45° degree angle of the Pin to horizontal, so the brake light will shine horizontal, independent of the footpegs position.
Hmmm, Sorry - a bit too blingy for me. Would need to see footage from behind, from inside a car or truck, to see if they are visible to following drivers at the level and distance they will be sitting at - it doesn't look like they would be visible to anyone that wasn't lying down in the street. And if they don't make your braking more visible to following vehicles, then then they're superfluous and just for show. But an interesting build nontheless, and you have to try these things out.
Omg! I need a set of these for my triumph build. Please sell these.
Thank you mate
Awesome foot pegs! don't forget some little grommets or seething over the wires, don't want the wires to rub and cause a short.
Thanks man you guys are doing such a great job. Its not just for yourself but it's for everyone. Passing ideas that helps and motivate others to do so. Stay blessed
Thank you mate, yes that is the idea :)
where did you get those lights?
This bike has so much bad ass custom parts on it! Can't wait to see it rolling

It gets better and better, your the Man Dan!
Thank you mate, glad you are enjoying
The knurls on the one that ‘wasn’t right’ is how that tool is meant to make them! I bet they’d look like the black original ones
This is really cool brother thanks so much for sharing this video!! 🍻
Pretty cool idea Dan! Sounds like you might have a little money maker right there, you know in all of your spare time between builds!

Brilliant idea, Dan. On my Fatboy, I think my boot heels would block the lights? Not sure. In any event, very innovative!
🏍👍🏍
Thank you mate. It would look awesome on your beast for sure

Now that's a really cool idea, putting brake lights in foot pegs! How in the world did you get all the great milling an other machines in your shop?

Put your knurling tool slightly off square to the work piece so instead of full face contact with job you only use the edge of the knurling wheels. 👍
Thank you for the tip 👍
Patent man, immediately!!!
Are those approved turn signals by the gov't where you live? In the USA, turn signals must be DOT approved.
Hello. love what you do. do you sell those foot rests?
I love them and want some. I am afraid some company is going to steal your idea.

The diamond shape is the correct pattern. The first one isn't done right!
not allowed in germoney, no rear lights before the rear axle
