Love the swing arm finishers. I agree, those square tube swing arms always look unfinished to me.

I've seen some 'swing-arm finishers' a little like that for Harley Dynas and Sportsters, made by a company called Alloy Art. They aren't nearly as nice as yours, obviously :), but they had indicators integrated into them, which seemed like a neat idea you could maybe adopt in another build etc..

That is actually what I was going to do on my next set but I won’t be using the rotary table for that I don’t think.

They look gorgeous keep them on and the indicator light 💡 idea has its application just like your fabricated 2 pieces has an application as a cover for the chain slack adjustment nut 🔩 and bolt , very useful for a more finished look and a cover to protect the adjuster nut 🔩

first wanted to say props for the great fab work. i also wanted to mention that this part seems like a perfect candidate for a 3d printed end cap. two piece design with some hefty snaps to keep it in place 👍

Really cool to see both the growth of your channel on the fabrication front, as well as the little video tricks you use to vary things up and make the content that little bit more appealing! The end result looks OEM quality and makes the bike look finished. Cool stuff Dan!

I love the end caps! I’m looking for a motorcycle to turn into a scrambler and the straight ends are such a turnoff for me, but I never thought it’s fixable with this simple solution. Just the video I needed

    2nd comment.
I prefer the "all black" look. Also the reliefs. It's just me but it looks far more smooth that way...
Also, on the Virago starter. Are starter issues common on Yamahas or is it just me? Never had such troubles on any other makes...
Back at the turn of the '70s i rebuilt a 1963 Yamaha 250cc YDS3 2 stroke twin. Great bike. Fast. First one with oil injection. Ancestor of the legendary RD 350s. Only fault as recieved was a broken kick starter due to a bronze gear. Went to source a spare but the dealer advised against it saying it would last maybe 3 kicks and break again. I removed the shaft etc. & blocked off the hole.
Bump started it from then on. Wheelies thru 3rd gear. A wild child...

I like your new parts, really cleans the end of the swing arm up and you still have all the adjustability you may need. If you can go with a good o-ring chain you will need almost no adjustment so removing the end caps for adjusting will not be much of an issue. Cheers.

Hmm not sure I like the idea of leaving the CB swing arm stock .lol. you have modified or adjusted just about all of the bike so hell yeah . Good design and it matches the rest of the curves . Explains what the 2 billet lumps were on IG . It's a lot easier using the rotary table to do curved stuff isn't it . A nice amount of grease or copper slip should keep those adjusters from rusting up from road crud now

Save all those chips and when you get enough melt them down and pour it into some steel square bar after removing the inner weld and you'll have your own blocks to use

    Beautiful Dan!
Yep, there's alot of thinking in 3D and alot of cleaning with a mill!
Using alcohol as lube/cooling when working in aluminium?
I was thinking about that "ugly duck" of yours. The Virago. Some years ago a saw one of those (maybe it was a 1000cc?) but customized into a Vincent copy.
Laced wheels pushes the price perhaps. Unless you can use a pair from another Yamaha cruiser?
Ask Uncle Google, he'll show you!
