    Dude has good potential. He executed slants really well. If he just felt the pressure in the pocket a little better nobody could complain. He'll be solid with more experience.

      @@brodyabel7300 he's better than hurts at this stage... look at what he's doing in the NFL. 60% completion would get better as the line is getting better. throwing to all young WRs who also haven't met their potential. not to mention Avg. 8.5 yards per carry. dude is lightning in a bottle and needs to play.
      the plays he ran were from bryces offense, they weren't the best plays that best suited milroe. with a better coordinator he will pop off.

    Imagine being a young QB expected to follow Tua Tag, Mac Jones, and Bryce Young as a passer? A formidable assignment to say the least. I think Milroe is a good QB whose passing skills and decision making will only improve with experience.

      @@jrvbamafan1 Anyone WITH the talent can sit on the bench and come and dominate. You either have it or you don't. It doesn't matter who's the coach. Your opinion says he has it. My opinion says he doesn't. He will run because it's his strength. That's what he's good at. It will be easy to game plan against him. DC's will force him to throw long and challenge his throwing ability. This is not rocket science.

      @@hcf1956dang. I’ve never seen someone be so wrong about a kid before. Not only would be admit his shortcomings but overcame more adversity than any other starting QB under Nick Saban. Had no star WR or RB like every QB under Saban before him, as well as an o-line that was weak in pass protection on the left side and snapped around 5-8 fumbles on the season/dozens of bad snaps. He’d show his inexperience when playing Texas so sat against USF…..he’d go on to win the SEC (has an 11-0 record against SEC opponents) and come in 6th in the Heisman rankings despite all the doubt/scrutiny. He’s still doubted by fools despite making more progress in one season than any player I’ve ever seen. Edited: my bad, the next negative Nancy was easily worse than this.

    Milroe will be fine this is a good experience for him to learn from 1. Protect the ball & 2. Don’t stare down one reciever if nothing is there down field throw it to flats & take what the D gives you cause prentice was open on the play he threw the int, I’m proud of him & he’ll be way better next year fasho 🐘💪🏽

      The guy was beyond his depth. Needs another redshirt year to acclimate and assimilation as well as learning how to “pass” NOT JUST THROWING THE BALL.

    I was a freshman when jalen was a senior at Tompkins. One thing I remember watching the varsity practice was always hearing our head coach yelling about ball protection. Now as a junior watching jalen playing in college and seeing that ball fumble I knew coach Mcvey would be all about ball protection drills. Boy was I right😂

      Yes sir. Next season will be Milroe’s final and best. Jacked to see how much more he’s progressed. Also helps that we got him a star WR and Haynes will be better than Jase/Roydell

    I’m amazed at people saying he can’t throw, I’m good with him having the ball in his hands every offensive play,…he has the strongest arm I’ve seen in a while, he has escapability And he’s super fast,…it like seeing mike Vick but right hands

      I didn’t say anything because I realize you don’t know what you’re talking about. I’ve seen enough footage and heard enough to know you guys are trying to pump Ty up like he’s doing this great job and he just isn’t. Ty is a good talent he’s just not ready yet. If he stays in the program another year or so he might be okay not sure. Right now Jalen is separating himself, which means he’s more accurate and making more plays…

      @@phillipivey4833and he finishes top5 NCAA in QBR/Passing efficiency and #2 in the nation in completion % of balls thrown 20 or more yards down field, only behind Heisman winner Jayden Daniels who had two 1st round WRs. lol. Hindsight is 20-20.

    Sucks is the amount of talent we have coming in at QB, even Simpson (who can sling it). But now with NIL, they won’t stay is they don’t play.

      This is the truth, not even Bama can stack bluechip QB's in the age of NIL and the NFL only needing potential and one good season before they'll take a QB..often way to high for some of the borderline guys, but hey..get it if you can.

    I think Milroe has the job next year. The only problem he had was turnovers, and once TexasAM learned he didn't hold the ball tight, they were literally punching it out of his hand by the end of the game. It's not like he kept getting stripped or he was careless. Either way Bama is gonna be a force to be reckoned with

      When people talk about him they’re acting like he’ll have this many turnovers every game. If he doesn’t turn the ball over he’ll be so damn good. Especially with the right offensive scheme he’s more athletic than Lamar Jackson imo simply due to his weight

    Milroe has a tendency to be another Jalen Hurts. That is a compliment against most opponents but teams with good defenses will keep him at bay. Apply pressure and he wants to run. Defenses prepared for that will shut Alabamas defense down.

    I really hope he advances as a passer under Reese.He is so explosive when he has to leave the pocket or on designed runs. If he can get more accurate and develop in his progressions .... he would remind a lot of people of Michael Vick

    Man I love Milroe as a person, because he's a great man and a great athlete. But I just can't see him taking over the starting position next season. I don't want to be that guy, but he played awful today for much of the game. You could tell he was rattled and wanted to run first and pass second.

      It was his first career start. I’m not arguing that he played well by any means but I think it’s too early to pass judgment just yet. Reminds me a lot of Jalen Hurts early in his career.

    Milroe won the game 🎯 Brice lost 2 games. That was his first start so you know he was nervous but he still made the plays when needed. He will be our QB and Dominate.

    I think he'll hit the transfer portal next season because I don't think Nick believes in him much. Alabama is always in win now mode. He's a great talent just needs some development I can see him at Tennessee after Hooker leave for the draft. Regardless someone will give this guy a shot.

      College world got to see Milrose’s inability to read the defense, and his inability to “pass” the ball. Milrose not recognizing the defense coverage…I don’t think he can transfer to another “top tier” college football program.
      Jalen Hurts, was given an opportunity to “develop”.
      Will Jalen Milrose allow his ego to accept his shortcomings and learn on the bench and in the classroom?
      Ty Simpson is by far the “better” passer. Alabama “needs” a QB who can pass the ball so they are not one dimensional.

      Milrose got the BENEFIT of 1 year learning, assimilating, and acclamation. 1 year advantage of learning from coaching, film-room study, and learning from Bryce Young.
      YOU CONVENIENTLY IGNORED Milrose is a thrower NOT A PASSER. Ty Simpson is a. PASSER.
      MILROSE IS A PHYSICAL. MONSTER, a beast. That’s his advantage. However, the defense adapted and made him one dimensional.
      Simpson would in time make defenses defend all aspects of Alabama’s offensive capability, with his athleticism to run as well. Albeit, Milrose is better because of his enormous physical size and strength. BUT opponents will not have the luxury to scheme to stop just one facade of Ty Simpson’s game.
      SO CUT THE CRAP…AS YOU SAY. THIS IS A NO LYING ZONE.

    He didn’t take care of the ball and made a few bad throws, but I can see the potential this guy has if he can just work on the turnovers. I think he’ll get settled in and once he does he’s got the playmaking ability to be a game changer. He just needs more game time experience and to gain a little confidence.

      He just need quality reps with first team wideouts, and wideouts need to give him confidence. Practice, Practice, Practice

      Finished top5 in QBR/passer efficiency and #2 in the nation in completion % of throws of 20 or more downfield, finishing only behind Heisman winner Jayden Daniels who had two 1st round WRs. lol. Srry, hindsight is 20-20 but this is also pretty fun to do.

    He's still got a LONG way to go. How will he react down. I think he's still too young to start. He forces things and makes bad decisions. Needs to get better at his progressions. Holding the ball like a loaf of bread is immaturity. He's more like Jalen Hurts than a pocket passer. What hurts both QBs is we have nothing at tight end. Latu is slow and bad hands. I couldn't tell you who the #2 tight end is.

      Idk if you played at all or even at a big level but spring game he out played Bryce on every level him getting to play at this time it throws you off rythm sitting the bench he did a great job for him not being able to get play time in game is very different especially with this crowd

      @@wordsfromthewise1247 uhm he was facing the second and third string defense not the first team 😂😂 and tbh these highlights don’t even show you how terrible he actually played he should have threw at least 3 picks, fumbled twice, and he had people open he just couldn’t read a defense like he got worse and worse as the season progressed. I’m not saying he can’t turn it around but you really think the receivers are going to want to stay if you have him at qb unless he makes stride in reading a defense and on his accuracy then we’ll just struggle to beat good teams

I don't know what game you watched where Milroe outperformed someone, must have been Playstation. You name one coordinator that thinks it's harder to prepare for Milroe over Bryce Young. (Puts the mic in wordsfromthewise face). Come on I'll wait. Alabama should have lost this game. Big portion, I'd say 50% was QB play. On the other hand a healthy Bryce Young... Your win percentage goes up. Now after watching the spring game and having Tyler Buchner transfer in, SPECIFICALLY AFTER THE SPRING GAME, shows one of us doesn't know what they are talking about.
