I've been watching smallant for forever, and between his minecraft and pokemon chat, they've got about 1 braincell. It's become the worst part of watching.

@@georgechristaki411 if he gets hit, the pokemon dies instantly but he doesnt have to reset cause he can use other pokemon. The strat remains the same, don't get hit.

honestly, i love that you tell chat when you don't like something. it feels very good to see. people just don't understand how hard it must be to have a bigger audience, especially during a stream. you don't need to answer their repetitive questions and that's awesome!

@@joethegreat628 not even remotely the same thing. Shinies are spectacles. Super rare, and provoke a good reaction when someone finds one. A “you only have like a 30% chance to actually do anything at any time” lacks a spectacle aspect. Smant’s edited version of the stream was SPECIFICALLY mentioned as “hey the run itself kinda functions as normal, so here’s just a bunch of cool shiny reactions”. The vods are interesting still though because of what Smant spoke about during it. It was essentially a podcast with the occasional shiny appearing. There was a genuine reason for it to exist. There’s no exciting nature to a Pokémon disobey challenge, and there’s no crazy strategies to implement if it is a guaranteed percent chance they don’t listen no matter what.
@@ElariaFlori I feel like it would still be kinda interesting, he’d have to invest in tankier pokemon and probably end up prioritizing status conditions like poison and burn

Not with not taking damage but it is possible with 1hp because Weedle is GOAT early game for grinding but without grinding it's once again impossible

tbf i didn't see much strategy after the first 5 minutes where he knew to go to that area to grind on metapods. he spent the entire stream grinding, which means he could ignore the game and read chat more. since he was only grinding, chat could ignore the grind and ask stupid questions, which he responded to more, and the stream turned negative.
i think it was just a bad challenge to stream given his chat size and how he interacts with chat.

Wobbuffet’s entire gimmick is that it takes damage and uses moves to send that damage back. How could it be useful at all when it would have 1hp?
@@Joe-hm1zk it probably isnt because it is slow, but destiny bond kills the enemy when you use it ajd then get hit, if you are constantly faster that works
