One of the most beautiful love songs of the early 70’s being performed by two great musicians!! Two beautiful complimentary voices from an era of great music!! We need many more musicians like these two people!!
@@debbieduplessis2337 In the scheme of things Debbie we were fortunate. It was a good time to be young & whatever the world threw at us, we had something which seemed easier than now. But I don't know, I just had that time & to me it's unmatched.
lostinfens I was only 10 to early teens in the 70's. However hands down my favorite time of my life. Maybe great memories with my parents and four older siblings? But music then had everlasting sound and lyrics that left us all breathless... I can still be brought to great reminiscing moments of such innocents and even tears when I hear certain songs.... I can't say enough of an era lost of music but never forgotten. Thank goodness for those music channels that play only 70's music... Makes my day ❤️
Carole King & James Taylor, two of the most angelic voices on earth! I've always loved this song but this version with the two of them is so brilliant! LOVE IT!!!
Listening to this music relaxes my mind and helps me reminisce the good old days. News about Covid 19 is getting frightening each day. So I listen instead to good music, play with my 2 large dogs and keep myself busy during quarantine; otherwise I may lose my sanity. May God help us all during these trying times.

What’s so lovely here is how James stays perfectly in pitch and volume with her voice....how sad we’ve lost all innocence, these sweet tunes will never come back....god bless RUclips
I bought the Tapestry album my jr year in high school and would run home everyday and play it over and over as loud as I could. I still have it and I still play it just as loud every chance I get. I’ve told my daughters to play “Way Over Yonder” by Carol King from that album at my funeral 😊
The RUclips family has worked so hard to give us music and so much more , I would love to thank them from the bottom of my heart , God bless RUclips and all they love .
I’m now 67 and have also grown up with tremendous singers and musicians like Dylan, Stones, Carol King, Blood Sweet and Tears , Willie Nelson, etc. Happy for that.
What a marvelous person Carol was, I loved her talents, her thirst for music and her unique song writing abilities. What a treasure she is to all who got to see know and hear her music. She wrote from the heart. I’m so blessed to have enjoyed her Era.
When you cave in and fall off the earth holding your loved one because nothing else matters, you know its love. Lost in that moment of pure joy and happiness you realize life is too short and nothing else matters because you know its love.
I'm amazed how many people have covered this song. I know why. It has to be one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. What a gift to the world. Thank you, Carole.
i love and respect both Carole King and James Taylor. i have a great memory of my late husband and i going to see JT perform at Oak Mtn in Birmingham Al the year before the love of my life was stolen from me with cancer. it was a beautiful night and i will cherish the memory until im with my sweetheart again. I asked my bride of 68 years if she would still love me tomorrow. She sweetly wispered yes and we woke up together, she was gone. But those were her last words to me as to that question.
How beautiful. She still loves you and the tomorrow that you wake up you will be on the other side where she waits for you. Pardon my tears. Your story touched deep in my heart
You are a blessed man to have those last words in your heart and mind always. You don"t have to worry. She'll be waiting for you. Live life with joy so you'll have something to talk about. 🙂
Yes but they weren't living then so they didn't miss it. Everyone has their time . And as the great Bill Nelson wrote and sang, " Time knows no limits for days such as these".
I feel very blessed to have lived my life with this music in it. When Tapestry came out, I was 11, almost 50 years ago. Its been my favorite album and my favorite music uninterruptedly ever since. If Carole reads these comments, I just want to say thank you so much for everything.
What a pair!!! J. T. is my best! Carol King has a voice that actually seems like an instrument... And the same is true about J.T. I can listen as long as you can play!!! Love 'em! God bless
What great talents and together performing. She is also a great piano player. It's hard to sing like she does and perform on the piano which is a difficult instrument as its percussion and you need strong hands and wrists to play it like she does. Great to hear her with James Taylor Two of my favorite performers.
January 1971, as Tapestry was just coming out, my wife and I, married three months, got to see Carole and James on Oahu. Their tour was very short, and we were very lucky, to say the least. I knew of Goffin-King, but most of the audience did not, so they were stunned when she played hit after hit after hit after hit. She's a goddess.
