@@OfficialLionTech No way. People have millions of gold on retail which is unrealistic in Classic.

Hey to edit the realm list make sure you right click, edit properties, then uncheck read only.
That way you can save the new realm without problems. I had to look it up

It just says ''Disconnected from server''. What do I need to do?
so I have done everything to a T but i will log in to the launcher and it will say connecting for a minute or so, then just says disconnected. anyone know whats wrong?
question, I went into WoW after I did this and it says there are no severs available. I made sure everything was put in the right folder and spelled correctly (i copy and pasted so there shouldn't be a problem) but the text still arose when I entered the game. Any suggestions?

Thanks man. I had a question, what if I wanted to play normal wow instead of the private servers? What would I put in the notepad to reverse the effect?
if you want to play the "normal wow" you have to download from the Blizzard site, however, if you want to play the newer version of wow you should use others servers, like Firestorm. I believe it wouldn't work if you don't change the notepad :D
trying to download the client and i get "Sorry, you can't view or download this file at this time"

I was banned from the private server I played on and the ban link told me to go to the retro-wow forum to appeal the ban. I did this, and the retro-wow GMs told me neither my account or my character were found. I felt like they were giving me the run-around and I had to post three times before they responded by telling me they couldn't find me. Has this happened to anyone else? They never even gave me a reason why the account was closed.

There is a lot of other private server, even the newer versions of WoW, I used to play Legion on Firestorm Server

that might be happening because your antivirus is blocking wow.exe. Try turning it off and start it or go in your antivirus and set the file as no threat.

Is there a way I can get the 1.12.1 client without torrenting it? What I liked about nostalrius was that I could just download and play.
its out now thru blizzard due to the games 8.22 release
when i click into the notepad and try and save the new log on . it has me rename the file , then doesnt change the note pad but adds an extra txt file . any tips?
Right click the realmlist.wtf in the folder, and then click properties. Near the bottom it should say two check boxes, one being Read Only and the other one Hidden. Uncheck the read only box if it is checked. If that doesn't work, I've got no idea.
Did everything, set realm list, opens WoW, but will not accept the credentials I setup on the Elysium website. Any ideas?
I figured it out. You have to set up an account on the actual Elysium website. Not sure if this was mentioned in this video, If it was, I apologize, but I missed it. After doing that, my WoW client now works.

@@pavellakov4568 I saved the wtf file in the folder and when the save file window popped up there's a drop down at the bottom like it says file type I selected all file types
It wasn't recognizing the file type at first for some reason

Private servers are usually free. Although some run differently from how Blizzard did. Like increased or decreased drop rates and stuff like that.

Maybe u are doing it wrong? create an account on retro website and then make sure their realmlist is in your game so it knows to connect to that specific server

try running wow first, it should create one afterwards, or it might be a server/realmlist file not a notepad.
