I was hesitant on buying this Rev-1 because I’m an old Skool turntable battle style DJ but let me tell you this I love this controller I was up and mixing scratching and doing tricks with this controller in no time, absolutely amazing performance from this controller..
Im an old skool battle style vinyl purist house music DJ. Nothing but good things ive heard about this controller & that being said, this is the 1st controller ive purchased and just unboxed a few hours ago. Ill be running it with serato suite & using it on a live radio performance next weekend. Ive been using traktor scratch pro2 for years with tech 12s. Im a bit nervous but anxious to see how well I do with it. This video helped shed light on everything ill need right out the box to start putting my set together this week. Thanks bro for the info & maybe ill chime back in to report my thoughts on this new toy! Cheers!
The problem is, you say you can record them, but, you can't because it won't let your record them if you got the music off soundcloud ect, you can only record it if you get the RUclips mp3
I have the DDj Rev One and I love it. I was a battle style turntable. I spun hip-hop back in the 95s and now 2024 these are controllers that we wish we would’ve had back in the 95s instead of carrying around those big turntables. But I’m an open format Dj now and I just wanna know what kind of speakers and microphone can I get that will make this sound good at a club or a wedding, I like the big 18 inch subwoofers cause I like bass. but just trying to throw it out there. Hopefully you can help me out or anybody else much love. Thank you for all the tutorials on all these equipment controllers. Keep Dj much love from Denver Colorado.
I've ordered this thinking it was gonna work well with windows seven as it's an older laptop cause of info I got off a forum..now I see it says I need 10..will this work at all with windows 7, and will serato lite work? I'm so upset I didn't research more
I have just bought one of these, I've only ever used vinyl before so it's a bit of an eye opener. So much stuff to re learn. Looking forward to seeing what racket I can make
I already have serato dj pro and it still is trying to get you to buy a subscription to use a software I aready own unless I'm missing something. I'm disappointed nonetheless.
As I say in the video, the genre of music doesn't really matter on which controller you pick, however, you are more likely to see the DDJ-400 layout in a dance / EDM setting.
Hello from Argentina! Can I play any other genre without the scratch style? I mean, I'd love to play tech house and techno but I don't know if this controller its just for Scratch Djs or if it can be used like another DDJ controller for every style!
The stickers are useless because the computer decks still spin.. but I bought one and used it for the first time this past weekend during international travel and it performed flawlessly.. I was very pleased. Very lightweight and easy to transport…

Hi great video thanks, does this work with algorithms djay pro?
Hi! It is listed on their compatible controllers that they have MIDI mapped, so yes, it should do!
Thank you 🙏
Just ordered mine .. my first controller and its arriving today 🔥🔥
Have fun!

This is the most useful video I've found so far regarding how to use this controller. Thank you!
Thanks so much! Don’t forget to sub for more!
Seems a bit silly that you can’t use tracking if you’ve pressed scratch bank as the two would be good to use together unless I’m missing something .
The problem is, you say you can record them, but, you can't because it won't let your record them if you got the music off soundcloud ect, you can only record it if you get the RUclips mp3
Rev 1 is great am using one now jv movements from Jamaica 🇯🇲
Which one is good for rev1 or flx6gt ?please
Is there a reverse crossfader switch?
Great vid…how do you increase the volume on the samples?? I know the Master Level nob does but I’m talking the samples solely??
@@Damuj23 that's only in the software. Unless you remap a knob.
how much does serato dj pro cost?
I’m gonna be using this soon so I’m glad to see this video
Glad I could help! It's a great controller, you're going to have so much fun!
A Cue Mix Control Knob (like the 400 has) would have been nice … ?!

Thank you. I’ve learned a lot from this review more than I have tutorials
Great to hear! Don't forget to sub for more! We have some fresh REV1 content coming soon! 👌
This controller is starting to look very appealing to me
It's so good JM, you won't regret it!
I'm in 2 minds, I don't know weather to buy the Numark NS4FX or the Pioneer Rev 1....?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for your comment! What do you think of the controller?
It's too bad Serato is trash, but the hardware is good
enjoying your reviews and the fleetwood mac shirt! have you done a studio tour of the ratcave before?
Thanks mate! I will take the tour in to consideration once The Ratcave is finished!
I understand why the DDJ-REV7 isn't compatible with Rekordbox. But why doesn't the DDJ-REV1?
Why do you think the REV7 isn't compatible?
Good afternoon would like to see motorized jog wheels question ❓? difference between motorized and non motorized jog wheels ?
Hey! The difference between motorised and non motorised jog wheels, are that motorised jogs spin round like a turntable. Hope this helps!

Minimum windows 10 on both Pro and Lite I'm afraid Thomas! 😔

Great choice, you're going to love it!
I just ordered mines today, I've been dj ever since I was 18yrs
How is it working out for you coming from turntables?
Please how can I get my DDJ REV 1 work with SERATO DJ PRO?
Buy Serato DJ Pro, and plug in the REV1.. 👀
I already have serato dj pro and it still is trying to get you to buy a subscription to use a software I aready own unless I'm missing something. I'm disappointed nonetheless.
Ordered mine. Looking fwd to some mixing :).
Hope you enjoy it! Let us know!
Ddj400 or rev1 for dance edm hard dance
As I say in the video, the genre of music doesn't really matter on which controller you pick, however, you are more likely to see the DDJ-400 layout in a dance / EDM setting.
are the platters touch or pressure sensative ?
They are touch sensitive in that you can scratch on them!

You can play any genre on any controller! It really doesn't restrict you!
Yeah u can play tech, house, DNB check out D3monik channel he’s dropping sick tracks on the rev 1
Great vid - thanks for the breakdown
No problem 👍 Don't forget to sub!
When will there be a new ddj400
Who knows! What new features would you like to see on a new one?
I’m using it on virtual Dj I like it better
What do you prefer about using it with VDJ?
Is it work with virtual dj
@@guillioguillio2938 yes sir
Best video yet on the Rev1
Ahh thanks Arlene! Glad it helped! Don't forget to sub for more!
That headphone input is embarrassing
can you use this with serato pro
Yes, it's much better on Serato DJ Pro as well, it unlocks a lot more features!
Good review. I get a lot of DJ work from 'DJ Work Agent' so I need something solid to use. Thx...
Glad it was helpful! Don't forget to sub for more!

The computer decks spin when you're scratching? Glad you're enjoying the controller!
Trying to get my first controller. Would you recommend this or the inpulse 500?
Go with this. The impulse is just cheaply made.
Which did you end up getting?
I had the hercules and it was ok to start out with but if you're going to get a dj controller I would go with the ddj rev1.
Or the SB3
