I have the 7a myself. I got it last month. I absolutely love it. I had to get a new phone after my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus stated to glitch (I adored that phone). I wanted an affordable phone and the 7a was the answer.
I love Pixel 6a. Just got it for 25k inr which would be approx 280 dollars. Best deal. It was a great upgrade from Pixel 4a, all compact and functional.
I know it's just a subjective thing but bro I just love the way you review. It's just chill, clean and informative. Keep up the good work. I have subscribed your channel now. Gonna watch your other videos and looking forward for your upcoming videos.
Great breakdown. My girlfriend just upgraded from her iPhone 13 to the Pixel 7A, she's wanted a Pixel ever since I upgraded from my iPhone 13 to the Pixel 7 Pro. We both love our Pixels
Is pixel 7a better than iphone13? Please reply i have ordered 7a and i will be upgrading from iphone 12 . Does it give more battery life than iphone13?
It is the Pixel 7 with the exception of charging speed, plastic back and the camera modules. Same Tensor G2, UFS 3.1, DDR5 ram and 90hz screen just slightly smaller and a odd price point. Camera tests I've seen are very similar if not essentially the same. So I think the question should be is it a significant upgrade from the 6a versus a minor downgrade from the 7? I'm sure there will be some great holiday deals later in the year...but then the 8 will drop 😂...we can never win as consumers lol.
I appreciate your review here on the Pixel 7a and you did an excellent job of hitting all the specs and important features in just 12 minutes! After nearly 2 years with the (standard) Pixel 6 and experiencing those few little annoyances and bugs most people have complained about (but I still have loved this phone), I will be upgrading to the (again standard) Pixel 7. For me, those extra upgrades at the slightly higher price is important to me, but yes, the 7a is a great phone for its price! Thank you again for the great review!
A great video review! This is the phone that make the real money for google for a lot of the everyday consumer can afford it especially when it goes on sale, which happens a lot!
If you care about faster wired and wireless charging and more than 128gb storage, go for the regular Pixel 7. Don't care for those two things? Then the Pixel 7a is definitely for you! Got mine directly from Google, with the free buds and case deal.
1. 128GB without the possibility of expansion it's a very limited storage nowadays. 2. A 7.5W wireless charge is useless, it takes 4 hours to charge the equipment, it only raises the price. 3. With those screen frames, it lost the compact form factor that the 6a had, now its weight and size is practically that of the Pixel 7. 4. Tensor G1 and G2 processors have overheating problem, period (Thanks Samsung). 5. For its price, it is better to buy the Pixel 7.
@@BadrKhiyat I did not name games or demanding tasks, the phone overheats recording at 4K / 60 fps, if cameras are their "strong point", that's a serious problem? It is better not to have that function, all pixel 6/7 have overheating issues, and they have couldn't fix it yet. Google should stop basing their CPUs on Exynos, Samsung doesn't know how to make processors, they should go with Qualcomm and TSMC. and there is no need to defend the indefensible.
@@3lectronic0 using the Pixel 7 Pro and not facing any of the overheating and connectivity issues some users are talking about either on NR or LTE. Oh, and Qualcomm has it own security issues with their software drivers in case you're not aware of that, that's why Google ditch them in favor of a custom made chip w/ Samsung. So yeah, you can't have all what you ask for in the tech world. Just stating facts, nothing else.
@@BadrKhiyat A lot of content creators record their content with smartphones, iPhones for example are on a par with multi-thousand dollar cameras and they don't heat up or display messages that they can't be used.
The only difference that matters to me is that the main sensor on the 7 does the soft sensor crop for zoom, and evidently takes more stable video than the 7a. I don't mind that not all of the 7a's cameras do 4k 60, and I prefer the idea of plastic and metal to glass and metal.
I don't know. I got one and I had signal problems and the phone got very very hot even when I was just sending of a text or two. I kept the phone for 2 days before I brought it back and got the Samsung s23 for 200 more. The was something that I liked about the 7a and that's why I keep watching videos about it.
Mario kart is played well on the phone? The drift works and the turns too? I have a mi 11 lite 5g ne and when i play games and swipe the car barely turns and its very hard to play it like this, This had never happened to me on my other phones.
I have a pixel 6, it's auto peak maximum brightness is 800 nits , must say it isn't bad under very bright sunlight. I believe the 7a is just over 1000 nits peak brightness , so imagine it will be slightly better . In one review standard pixel 7 v the 6a the reviewer stated there was no marked difference in their maximum auto peak brightness. One thing I have noticed is the 6 and 6a appear to have slightly brighter displays (when using the standard manual slider brightness ) Compared to the 7 and 7a
Great video Max! One thing I would recommend is to mix your sound a bit more, reduce the background music a little bit and run your voice through audacity or something to make it sound more clear and less tunnel/echo like. Other than that, solid production, great points, definitely a nice phone. I would get one but I already have a Find X3 Pro and i dont think I need to upgrade anytime soon.
Definitely interested in this phone. Currently got the Pixel 3 and the only thing I've never liked is battery life. Pricing in Australia is definitely skewed. $749 for 7a, $999 for 7. You get $150 gift card if purchased before 22nd May and one retailer has 10% off as well so you can basically get it for $525 vs $999 for the 7.
@@deanstyles2567 I ended up getting the 7 for $525 (taking into account a $150 gift card included with purchase). Pretty sweet deal. It was Google's $250 discount, then 10% JB discount + gift card.
I know I'll get plenty of sarcastic answers but if someone could give a serious answer I'd really appreciate it. So I hear ppl on reviews all the time say "I love the pure android experience." What exactly does that mean? Wouldn't a nice new galaxy have a pure Android experience? Thanks ahead to whoever takes a minute to give me a legit answer.
Basically, Pixel phones use the stock Android as it is originally made. Other brands like Samsung add their own "style" to the android software. Other icons, different menus, forcing their own software on the phone on top of android etc. Think of it as a car from factory in it's original form (basic android) vs the same car after someone has customized it with giant rims, bodykit, spoiler etc (other brands).

Actually you are correct.....and I just realized I went from a 6 to a 7a haha The pixel 6 to a 7a has been a much better experience in weight and size in the pocket. Didn't realize how much larger and heavier the 6 was to the 7.
Warning! Don't buy pixel 7a it has a very bad display, colors are inaccurate, whites look too yellow and in general the colors look very dull. Also it seems like google used very low quality panels, the display looks even worse when viewed from slightly different angles. Pixel fan boys will never tell you this thing.
