I have watched these at least 10 times, because the first time I made my first quilt ever and it will be a heirloom for my great grand daughter. I was so proud. I cried because all my life I was told I was nothing and could do nothing. Then I made something stunning, because of you. You are the best, most down to earth, easy to follow, humorous, caring teacher ever. I will always love the gift of me I received through you.

I had to come back to where it all started...3 weeks ago I discovered crumb quilting with you when I did a search on scrap quilts and now I’m hooked. No matter which video I watch I have thoroughly enjoyed it! You are an amazing woman with such a wealth of knowledge. Your creativity is fabulous but the absolute best is your delivery...you make learning so much fun! Even when you are just chatting I find myself totally absorbed. I have almost finished the crumb quilt top that will be for my daughter for Christmas. It’s totally done with Christmas fabric and I’ll send a picture to the Peanut Gallery when it’s finished. I have so many crumbs left over that my brain thinks a tree skirt would be just the thing!
Never change girl cause you’re the best :)

This is a great video! I did some crumb quilt blocks last year, and it was so soothing! I spent one long afternoon sorting all my grocery bags of small scraps into little boxes by size (1-2". 3-5" smaller sizes, medium sizes, larger sizes) then took all the smaller than 3" sizes the next day and just sat and sewed them all into pairs, then the pairs into pairs, etc., until I had several pieces almost as big as placemats. Then I cut the placemats into small rectangles about 4" x 7" and set them aside for a while. Weeks later I had some more spare time, so I cut a bunch of strips out of some white cotton, then framed all the rectangles into blocks! It was so relaxing and mindless! One of these days I'll put them all into a quilt and finish it off. Maybe sooner, now that I've found your video! Thanks!

Love your video shows. I have a great thread tip for everyone. First take two pieces of fabric, one put under your presser foot before piecing your scraps, sew on it, then piece your pieces ,the other piece is sew after you do your small piece or after you do your strip. The last piece that is sewn on leave it under the presser foot for the next piece or strip. this will save on losing a lot of thread. I use my little pieces up until it gets to bulky for my machine to sew on them. Toss the two and start with two more pieces. I know it is extra snipping with your scissors, but in the end ,it saves a lot of thread

You mentioned having a container of little scraps that you intended to cut up and put into stuffed toys but haven't gotten to them yet. Here's what I do, I pour oil over them (Yes OIL!) and use them as kindling to get campfires going. I live in northern Minnesota on a hill above a lake on 20 acres of woods and we love having evening campfires.
