I keep the front tire off most of the time. I'll switch the front on to accelerate faster once I'm already rolling or when I'm going up a hill. There's nothing like doing 32 mph going up a steep hill
I bought the Amyet v9-G60. I was wrestling between this one and the cheaper single motor ebike and went with the single.
It’s my city commuter!
It’s still crazy fun! Kind of scary, in a good way. In the process of dealing with customer service right now though.
Oh no, why’d you have to contact customer service?
If it's because it's stuck at half speed, hold the right brake while turning the bike on and hold for 15 secs. You can use this process to limit or unlock the limit.
Yeah dude I want to know why you had to call customer service to 😅, you know before I buy 🤔
Hold down the + and - at the same time to unlock the settings. Also check the connectors on the controller box, my PAS stopped working and it was a loose connector.
@@Mackdez the bike makes some strange noises above 23mph. Everything works fine, but the motor itself is definitely not going to last. Couldn’t get in touch with any customer service help until I left a review on amazon saying I loved it but shits broken, then they finally contacted me to give me 30 bucks to take down my review…I didn’t accept their 30 dollars, and left the review up.
Can’t wait to see how this thing does on hills. The only reason I haven’t bought it yet is the 48V battery. I feel like 52 would be perfect
It does great on hills both on and off road
@@ampedcycle yeah it looked like it handled that hill start well. I live in DC where everything is up the steepest hill
can't find it on the Canadian Amazon site !!
Overall is the Ridstar Q20 or this better built? Seems like you could fit an extra person on the S8 if you really had to but no for the Q20? having turn signals is pretty key.
I would say they’re both well built, I had a passenger on the S8 who is about 5 feet tall and they fit perfectly and the bike did fine, even went off road. There are foot pegs on the S8, the Q20 doesn’t come with any so your passenger wouldn’t be comfortable
@@ampedcycleso somebody that is 5ft can drive this thinking about getting it for my mom but I do not know if she is to short.
@@ampedcycle cool. I'm really liking how the S8 is. Just wish it also had front signal lights and location holes for a rack on the back.
Crashed mine, after repairing it the front motor doesn’t seem to work, any ideas?
which is better overall? ridstar q20 or this bike the Amyet S8?
I would go with the s8 personally. More power and the ability to carry a passenger. Only thing I like more on the ridstar are the brakes and the styling
I've put 400 miles on my S8 in 1 month. Got the V9 G60 on the way for my wife
There both total crap
@@user-ms8xp4dx2k it's the cheapest AWD bike on Amazon. I'm under no illusion that it's a Cadillac. Lol. Cheap fun and I can fix it or mod it if I want. I would consider them a good value for the cost.
@@user-ms8xp4dx2kwhy do u say this?

Do you think a 5’3 150 pound rider would be fine on this bike ?
Cool bike, how many e-bikes do you have?
Amyet s8 vs ridstar q20
Which has more top speed? Seen a video from a guy on youtube that max speed the ridstar q20 at 50+ mph
Would love your opinion on both top speed from the two👍
The ridstar comes with a 30A controller, I do believe, because my brother has one, and he said he got his up to 40 mph
It reminds me of the Ariel Rider Grizzly.
Anyone know how to make it go faster? Someone was going 44 mph with this
Im curious of the range. My G60 has never achieved 30-50miles. More like 22-24mi.
I just took the S8 26 miles on dual motor mode throttle only, And I still had at least a mile or 2 of range left
@@ampedcycle roger, thanks.
Which one is better among this one, the Ridstar Q20 or Euybike S4?
I would go with this one personally
@@ampedcycle Thanks for answering 💪🏽
The Euybike S4 has awesome reviews, and the motor outputs more power than state, supposedly a very good bike!
I have tried to look up the information on numerous platforms but can’t find a solution so I come to my RUclips fam for help ! I have a Amyet S8 e bike had it for like a week and a half and although my bike charges perfectly fine to a hundred percent it seems that my lcd screen is not being charged to 100 percent only about 25 percent can anyone help or suggest me anything ! ? Please 😢
I would contact them on Amazon and snee what they have to say. Might be something with the battery
Same issue with my new s8, only 4 bars on full charge, only 53.4 volts as well, company is sending a new screen as it may be faulty, have been relying on green lights on the battery for a rough idea how much remains, contact customer service and request a new screen, hopefully it will be accurate.
@@LarryKastner-qs5ry I actually fixed the issue on my end it was something I changed on setting without realizing it but after doing some research and trial and error testing I’m understanding more of the functions with the P0 settings
@@LarryKastner-qs5ry just make sure you know for sure it’s not something you changed in the setting before you go to replace it because I feel like that will be a hassle
Thats cool and dont tell anyone how you fixed it hahahahahaha@marvjackson2347
i like it
Need to unlock it to p9 will do 40 almost
Are you sure it’s aluminum? Because I just looked at the specs on Amazon and it says high carbon steel now. what’s really funny about that is I was looking at this bike a couple days ago and said it was aluminum. 🧐🤔
I’m gonna assume it’s steel based on the price and weight of the bike being 90+ lbs. Not a big deal at this price point though as it’s still a great value
Should I get this or the Ripstar Q20, Im mostly worried about big hills
I would get this, but you can’t go wrong with the ridstar either
good price maybe
Wondering if it'll do better with me because I'm 280lb's , or maybe it would be beneficial to you to use the rear wheel first get up to speed, then switch the button to dual wheel? Idk I don't know what do you think.
I switch on the front wheel after I'm rolling so it doesn't spin. Works great that way
If you sit more in the middle of the bike there’s more weight over the front wheel and it won’t spin as much
