You made GREAT point btw. EVERYONE please read this comment:
With increasing reports of E-Bike fires and batteries exploding it’s VERY IMPORTANT to take James advice and ONLY use the charger that came with the bike. Also try to not charge it unattended unless it’s in an outdoor space that if something happened there’s nothing close by that could catch fire. Please never use a higher amp/voltage charger thinking you can charge it faster or get more charge. If the charger is a 42 volt 2 amp do NOT use any higher amps or voltage charger as tempting as it might be. You can and likely will cause the battery to explode doing so! I cannot stress this enough! Also try to look for Ebike that has battery UL rated. So far I’ve charged my Ebikes dozens of times without any issues using just the chargers they came with. If you have a charger with same voltage and amp ratings and same plug it should be ok but just the same if possible try avoiding that. Ride safe guys/gals and enjoy !!

This is what I like, good honest review that also goes over some realistic aspects of buyinga cheap ebike. I bought something similar abouta year ago, it was a Cyber Track 100 made by Miclon. the parts and performance were very similar to many aspects of this Ancheer. I imagine these companies just buy these generic cheap parts and slap their own brand on them. My bike did not come with lights though. I almost immediately upgraded my tires, and I am weighing the ins and outs of upgrading things like the mechanical brakes to hydraulic or simple getting a better overall bike. I do enjoy it though, and have found it to be a good " A to B" kind of bike. What I liked about Miclon, and about Ancheer, they are budget sellers but do carry spare parts such as batteries for their products.

the brakes on mine were bad too, squeaked and didn't have much stopping power. I got some new ones off amazon which are cable driven "hydraulic" (at the pads I guess there's some fluid). Really helped me feel safe with the bike. I also replaced the pedals with some metal ones which is a another great safety upgrade as they don't slip. Throw those plastic pedals in the trash. Oh and of course the seat had to go because I spend about an hour a day going through local bike trails on this thing. Mine has the 500w motor though and color LCD screen.

I bought one for my dad and he liked it so much that I had to buy myself one. They are great for pedaling if you want the exercise and throttle only if you just wanna cruise. My biggest problem is that the gears on the left hand make a clicking noise on most gears. I have it set to the perfect gear now so I just don’t bother with the left hand gear anymore.

    Hey James,
I really enjoyed your honest 1,000-mile review of this bargain-priced e-bike. I'm an older G'dad kind of guy thinking about an affordable e-bike. I agree that if I want a better bike, I should spend more and get the bike that I need,. But if I am looking for a low-priced affordable e-bike, it is good to know that this bike is a decent buy at this price range. Thank you for sharing your opinion.

This is like the best review about the Ancheer Orange Sunshine Ebike.True it needs better brakes a person has to adjust it.2nd it needs to come with a bigger seat a more comfortable seat. And 3rd try using the charger that comes with the bike.I brought a 3a charger but I found out to let the charger cool down for about 20 min before charging the battery otherwise it can ruin the charger and these chargers are expensive

I was torn between the Ancheer and the Jasion eb5 plus. You can get both now with 500w motors on them now for under 500. I went back and fourth but finally decided to go with the Jasion because of the features. Top speed around 21mph but averages around 17 to 18mph. I liked the digital display on the jasion eb5 better.

I just bought my first ebike @ $1800 plus tax, it has automatic headlight/tail light, monitor, electric horn, full fenders, luggage rack, throttle control with extra boost button, 27.5 wheels, 7 gears, top speed 20 mph, range 20 -50 miles, and came with lifetime warranty and one free annual tune up for as long as I own the bike. They had some ebikes close to the $10,000 range but since I'm 79 the ebike I purchased serves me very well. (been riding bikes for over 60 years)

After about 4 years or so, my Ancheer is upgraded so much that the frame, handlebar and seat clamp are the only original parts. I don't know how the newer frames are, but mine is built like a brick shithouse! It needs to be, I carry extremely heavy loads.
So, to me, upgrading is worth it over buying a new bike. Mine originally costed $650 for 250w and something like 7wh battery. (Edit: the original battery was recalled 😅)
Pedaling with the original gearing topped out at about 18mph.

Nice review James ! Looks like a nice bike for the money. Last year I bought an Ecotric 26” fat tire “Sportcool” model. It’s 500w 36v and 13AH battery. Same size as you and get about 25-31 miles on a charge. I upgraded the rear free wheel from a 14-28 tooth to a 11-28 tooth and that was game changer. I can now put in effort at over 25+ mph. When fully charged it will do 24.5- 26 mph and if I put some effort into it I’ve gotten it up to 28+ mph on flat ground! It was about $850 on a Black Friday sale and is very solidly build. No extras at all, no horn lights nothing aside from LCD displace screen. It’s comfortable and a blast to ride. Over 2000 miles now no issues. I’ve added speakers. Lights signals etc. In May I bought the Aniioki 48v 750 w AQ 177 pro max. Super torquey 60AH Battery with range of over 100 miles going near top speed the whole way etc. It was about $1650 shipped. Both are nice each for their own reason. BTW Do you still have the Charger ??

Nice review! Just wanted to point out that on an e-bike remember to follow road rules, even though it's a bike. You mentioned you use bike trails more but for your own safety pay attention to and follow stop signs and stuff, you are likely to be at much more risk than motorcyclists (which are known for being relatively unsafe) if you don't follow road rules and wear protective gear when on road. For road commuting I recommnd finding content about safe riding on motorcycles since that's closer to a moped commute than a typical cyclist commute and either way it'll add some riding skills to your knowledge :)

E-bike chargers are usually underpowered for what the batteries can handle. It's good to be safe though and use what you're provided. I assume it's a 2A charger. At 2A you really don't have to worry about how hot it is where you're charging it. Two of my e-bikes can handle 5A and one can handle 10A without even getting hot. Super fast!!!

    • @ampedcycle
      @ampedcycle  9 месяцев назад

This one does come with a 2A charger. The battery doesn't get very hot but the charger gets HOT. Sometimes uncomfortable to the touch. Forgot to mention that in this video. Ill also note that on my second aftermarket battery, The charger has a fan and is actively cooled, On the OEM one its not passively cooled

You can use something like slime to prevent small leaks. If I’m going far away I’ll carry tire sealant, patches, a tire pump and a few tools so I can fix a flat tire. If you’re really paranoid you can also bring an extra tube with you.

only issue of these lower end e bikes besides the parts is the Battery dying in a year. Well, mines did but I sat e bike for a few weeks to add on the issue. But its just a swap of upgrading which is best of getting higher amps. But I bought 2 e bikes of 800$ ea Mukkpett 350 and Vivi 500 , both had batteries that went dead of 6 months with ViVi and 1 year for Mukkpett. It worked out better regardless due to getting replacement at higher amps for faster speeds and range. I converted both e bikes with a 2nd motor as a Turbo Booster at 2000watts. They worth it if you plan on upgrading to make it better of the value as both of mines exceeds performance of the 2000$ e bikes ..
