I liked your stance on what makes anime, anime. It doesn't matter. The culture around can really toxically gate keep but the fact of the matter is, shows like this are heavily inspired by the animation from Japan in many aspect and will appeal to those who do like anime. It's also great to get fresher takes on Anime from other cultures. Anyone who disagrees probably voted Brexit.

Yeah if you find Lookism really good or not is one thing, but to put off shows made solely based on where it is from is just really weird.

I think the story/ original concept of the story peaks at around before chapter 200 cus a lot of the characters get developed over their original "shallow" self that shows up at the beginning, ha nul being one of them for example

I love the fights if I’m being honest I’ve never liked the fights with big beams and all that stuff i prefer fist fights like in this and I love how they make certain characters look very tuff then show them getting they’re ass whooped like the parking lot scene in I think the last or second last episode you have the main character and that guy Basco or vasco whatever his name is vs this guy with glasses and you can tell these 2 are about to get beat the shit out of by glasses but before all this basco or vasco was the scariest guy in the show it’s really good probably not the best for a first anime but from someone who isn’t a big fan of this sort of stuff and had only watched aot and death note all the way through it’s definitely good

good question. A korean animation studio has decided to use japan's anime likeness to the test in this webtoon. The final results are at best good. Korean has its own term of animation in various ways like manhwa yeonghwa and aenimeisyeon. The reason South korea's various animated shoiws and movie resemble an anime because it was once a japanese annexed territory that brough japanese influences to korea before Japan surrendered to the US. Japanese has somehow begin animations as early as 1917 and later the animation was evolved thanks to American cartton designs by Disney, which is why anime became a classic art aesthetic. However, when Korea banned all japanese media and animations after 1945, they decided to make ripoff and likenessnes of japanese anime like the mecha genre and martial arts anime. But then Korea became a true democracy on 1987, allowing foreign media to be imported or licensed in the country especislly from japan, but it took 17 years to allow all japanese anime to be broadcaste and released in korea. Somehow many of the korean animations were released in america on vhs that were mistaken as japanese anime. Depsite the importation of japanese anime, korea still been producing anime style shows to the domestic audience. Then independent and broad animation studios and filmakers begin creating original animations to the international audiences like Leafie, aachi and ssipak, yobi, oseam, jang geum;s dream, and many others. Other korean animated productions did not look like an anime at all because they begin to create their own style of cartoons. Even the king of pigs, seoul station, red shoes and a dog's courage. The only reason korean animation did not get as big as north american and japanese animation is because the government of korea has very little financial involvement of the industry and it is still unknwon outside of korea. Only Leafie was their highest grossing animated original film from Korea. But today thanks in part of Korean music and tv dramas and movies like the oscar winning parasite, korean animation is finally getting recognized and more popular than ever. Soon even Korea's first ever animated movie will be released in America on Tuesday by SRSCinema. Korea has comne a long way on cartoons .
I can't say that Korean animation is anime because it looks like one, it depends on the aesthetic on the cartoon giving that anime-ish vibe. Nowadays other korean cartoons are CGI, 2D animated without the anime aesthetic. I have the problems with animation fanbases because they have never watched a korean produced animation or ever heard a language of korean in their life. They always assume or mistake korean cartoons as anime because it looks like one. All they need to do is to watch it and have a better analysis of what they have discovered.

@@TheAnimeAdviser That said, the cgi I the singing scene was utterly glorious. It really drove the point home with how they connected with the audience and themselves by changing to 3d models.

@@soul24311 How is the show unrealistic in the social sense? May I ask how tall you are? Are you balding, have a recessed chin, fucked up teeth, bad skin? While it's not like people are outright mean to ugly people, they do treat them as lesser. I've seen people greet me with a smile and the 5'3 fat guy behind me will have the cashier look annoyed. We are animals nothing more, most people can't even control what they find attractive.
