    Looks like you'll have a bear of a time getting it off to use your 3 pt hitch. My 1025 R comes on off with ease without removing any bolts. 2 pins pull out and it lifts itself off the hooks it sits in. Takes less than 5 minutes and sits on a roll around stand I got from BXpandit. Goes on as easy too. I don't use the backhoe as much as the other implements but when I need it, I don't want to go through too much work. If you can't find a ready made stand for your's you might want to build one out of 2x lumber and casters. I built one for mine before I found the metal one. I got a 16 inch, 12 inch and 6 inch bucket. Plus a thumb for picking up stuff out in the yard. They sure are handy to have when you need it. I've installed water, septic and electric lines and did some jobs to help friends.

      It takes me about 5 minutes to take it on and off. Two pin, and two hoses. I owned a 1025R. It was a nice tractor, but this backhoe will dig circles around the 1025R. I am not just saying this to get one up. The 1025R is a refined tractor, and I never had any problems with it. I have grapple, so I never had much use for a thumb. I may try one in the future. Who knows.

    My toolbox is mounted under the backhoe seat, opening facing the tractor rear. It works great, except when the backhoe is not attached. I'm going to mount a 2nd toolbox soon, one just for the tractor. There is a piece of flat steel going around the seat. I think I am going to us a small bit of angle iron and weld that to another perpendicular piece of angle iron with a small gap. The box will set on that and that little gap will slide through between the back of the seat and that flat steel holding the seat and then use the screw and bolt on the seat to secure it.

    You can look into mounting the toolbox on the left/right side of the ROPs with an elbow plate you fabricate yourself or purchase. It can be held up with a couple U-bolts so there isn't any modification needed on the integrity of the ROPs. It would then be out of the way and you still carry the necessary tools with you.

      How easy is it to remove the backhoe to use the 3pt hitch and rear pto?

      @@TonysTractorAdventure I figured that would be the answer. My dealer said the rear remote kit was somewhere around or near $600. I laughed because, it’s two hoses, a handle, and a block of metal with a piston in it the handle moves. 😂 What a ripoff. Wish I had a CNC mill. I’d make my own and go to NAPA to have some lines made.
      As for the TB65, they go for $7500+tax (install is like $9k 🤨. Totally would never pay someone that much to put one on when it’s a total DIY job)

    I still don't understand why backhoe's aren't run from the rear pto instead of tractor hydraulics. 20hp on a pto could push alot of hydraulic fluid faster than the little internal drive pump.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 года назад +2

      If the pumps flow rate was higher the cylinders would move to fast. We would then have to put bigger cylinders to slow down the movement. This would also make it much stronger and outlift the tractor's weight. All I am saying is, there is a physical limit to the ability of the backhoe because of it's size.

    • @justinsikes2221
      @justinsikes2221 3 года назад +2

      @@TonysTractorAdventure very good point. I seen recently on the JD 1025R that an individual has made different internals for the hydraulic pump, allowing more flow. In doing so, the backhoe and loader were able to operate two functions smoothly without loss of power.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 года назад +2

      The T25 crosses over into a compact utility tractor. They offer the mid-mount mower, but not with the backhoe. I prefer a rear finish mower. Most mid-mount mowers of any brand hang to low to be useful with rear implements. It gets in the way.
