So many people call Matt out to solve the problem that 'their guy' couldn't solve and then when he solves it, they go back to 'their guy' to do the parts changing. Not a criticism of this lady at all - she seems lovely and well informed - just an observation from watching a lot of videos.
Well observed. People are hurting so bad for money that they do stuff like that which in my opinion hurts them more in the long run. You heard her say, if this doesn't work out i can call you back??? Right? That means, if my boy toy worker friend can't do the job can i still have you do it. Total L
@@alllmighty.vq37 that’s actually less common than anything it’s that I could do for cheaper guy or a mechanic they find out Facebook who isn’t certified and has never gone to school for it 90% of the time because I called back out to fix the repairs when they fuck it up
1 word of advice for this lady is to let Matt do the repair. If they could not run a misfire graph than they should not be touching the car. Being cheap sometimes comes out expensive.
Never go cheap on a car repair. Your safety and everyone else's safety is too important for the lowest bidder. Sometimes repairs just cost more it is just part of owning a vehicle.
@@garyday6681Just want to add on this. I 100% agree, but know what you're paying for. Don't try and cheap out but make sure you aren't being overcharged either.
For sure, shit does just go out. But also they tell you when to change them, so depending on the mileage/ maintenance it shouldn't be a surprise when it will happen
Tipping is stupid and out of control. Everyone wants a tip now days... It was beautiful when I went to Japan, Nobody tips. The servers don't want tips, they look at you weird if you try to tip and tell you no.
P3497 on my odessey recently and caused a misfire on #4. Good plug and coil. Research points to oil pressure sensor or vvt solenoid. Put svcm controller on it so far no more codes. Makes no sense to me. I’m keeping my 83 mustang cause you can’t get much simpler.
Was coil blocked by intake manifold? Just wondering, because if not you should’ve charge full amount and swapped coils to see if the code follows or stays.
He mentioned it in the video, the intake was in the way. Since he's only charging as a quick diag, he wasn't about to rip all that out. He let her know to try though.
One possibility would be Leaking injector, when the engine is shut off the fuel pressure left in the rail leaks through into the cylinder and eventually past the rings into the oil.
I’ve been a mechanic for years and I’m proud to see a fellow mechanic do what you do for people you’re a very upstanding young man

Probably someone in the family it’s almost always the case

No way I will not treat Mister Parker any different than he would treat me
She paid for a diagnostic. 50 dollars to come to you. That's a bargain! 👍
You tightened her camshaft up for her😂😂😂
the lies mechanics will tell you
i think he meant the sensor. tons of people will put it in and never tighten the screw. See it all the time at work

That women gets all the FREE help she could ever want at that job! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
“I’ve never had a women buy me “

Change the spark plugs and coil plugs it’s Kia just can’t change the sparks plug do both in my experience
Good ole Kias' , never fails to disappoint.
Great mobile mechanic, actually a great mechanic period.
Auto zone is not a diagnostic repair shop.
For sure, shit does just go out.

Love the vids Matt, can you list some of your favorite tools?
Damn bro she didn’t even offer to tip after you gave her a discount. Definitely charge her double next time 😂

Well what's the point of a discount
Love the scannerdanner book in your scan tool case!
We love you, Matt 😮
Swap coil from another cylinder to see if the misfire moves to the other cylinder is what I'd do first it's free
Cylinder 5 is under the intake for that engine

if its past 2000 its too much trouble for me
Wow my cars doing the same to! Trying to figure it out
She’s cute
Bro, she's like 50 with 5 kids 😂
Your a Great dude and great Technician. Keep up the good work brotha 💪
Your camshaft was a little loose I tightened it up
REALLY
I’m glad someone else mentioned it. I thought I misunderstood what he said.
I think he meant the sensor..
Whats that code reader your using? Seems pretty handy
In one video he mentioned that he paid $6,000 for it. Snap on.
Yea I looked it up cause I like all that it can do but it's pricey the cheapest I've seen was on ebay for like $2000
asking her anything will just leave you more confused, drive the car and work it yourself is best when a woman driver is involved I've found,
What type of job does she have I don’t get it?
She had a Marine Corps sweatshirt on. I'm guessing she's assigned to a reserve station or something.
@meeponinthbit3466 if that was the case they ain't got no mechanics on base ? Lol

Yes. He says in video it was under intake or he would’ve swapped it.
@@Ram2253spd Thanks, guess I tweaked and missed it.
Good job Matt
You should of insisted of fixin it manee
why not just swap the coil to test if it's the coil or plug?

How do like the Snap-On Apollo
$6k !! Personally I like my autel better
I would have schedueled an apoitmentvto fix things immediatelly
I know you know a hell of a lot more than me but how hard would it have been to move the coil.
Hah I was watching as I said this. The. He said it was under intake. Never mind
What happened to the ford!
Amigo you good dude keeping up the good work
I wish you are in Washington
Matt, ever get cars with fuel (gas) smell in crankcase? Why… the oil smells like gasoline… no codes.
One possibility would be Leaking injector, when the engine is shut off the fuel pressure left in the rail leaks through into the cylinder and eventually past the rings into the oil.
Matt said "enough of that" yah brother your married!
