Your skin looks lovely! I actually use the foaming cleanser just once, in the evening, not to overdry the skin....and yes I do use the Luna brush as well. In the morning I just wash my face with cold water...

Thank you for encouraging me to start tretinoin and stick with it. The purge was horrible but it’s slowly ending. I’m entering week 7 and cannot tell you how happy I am with my skin. Cerave really changed my tretinoin journey for the better. 💕💕

Same ! I started a month ago, taking advantage of lockdown here in France haha and so far my skin's fine, I've only been using it once a week until today, just made a first attempt of introducing a second day, hopefully my skin will not make me pay for this too much ^^

I still love the cetaphil gentle skin cleanser! There are some RUclips videos that compare the two of them and the Cerave seemingly comes out a little ahead - so I decided to switch and love it. The cetaphil one is still great though!

I love using the Luna on my neck and chest :) I would've never thought to use the mask serum with the Bear that's so great! I should've known kbrand sunscreens were too good to be true, I'm now doubting all the SPF 50 ones I have on my wish list 😕

I have a kinda weird question.. How do you go about having "couple time" late at night when your face is always smothered with tretinoin?? 😳😳 This is something that I personally struggle with lol.. any suggestions?
Haha yep! You have to do it beforehand. Otherwise there have definitely been times where I am like, “okay fine we can do it, but don’t touch my face” 😂

I use Cerave cream on both my kids :)
Our entire family used CeraVe as well. My youngest has lots of skin sensitivities and cerave (Eucerin as well) work wonders for us all
Is it OK to use all those products on your eyes just like that? They don't get irritated? I've always heard the eyes are the most sensitive part of the face and you need to treat them gently.
I'm savage. I don't even wash my face in the morning. Just sunscreen and good to go.

Do you find the niacinamide leaves a sticky / tacky feeling and if so how do you deal with it?
Initially yes! But after I put my other skincare on top of it and allow everything to sink in, the tacky feeling goes away.
How long ago was it before you stopped breaking out I'm getting the odd pimple still but I think it's down to masks as I have to wear one for work everyday but I'm not 100% sure I started my journey march ish so I don't think I'm still purging 🤔
Hey Jennifer! Thank you for the comment! So my purge lasted from month 3 to month 6. After that I got the odd pimple here and there for the next couple weeks. My skin has been totally clear since then, but I went ice skating a couple days ago with my kids, was wearing makeup and a mask, and was sweaty by the time we were done. So I have a small irritated patch of maskne today - very superficial and looks like it will be gone in a couple days.

Hello jenna what do you think of hydroquinone2٪ with tritonoin
It is supposed to be SO effective! However, I recently tried hydroquinone cream from an online pharmacy and it smelled like perm solution. I couldn’t even keep it on my face bc of the smell - I had to wash it off. Then I just threw the whole tube of it away. Hydroquinone also makes me a little nervous because you have to use it for on and off periods or you can have a rebound effect where it actually makes pigmentation worse.
Hi Jenna, do you think it’s safe to exfoliate peeling skin from tretinoin with the Luna FOREO? I’ve been doing it in the mornings after sleeping with tretinoin and just want to make sure it’s safe.
The FOREO is so gentle. It has been very effective for me. Just pay attention to your skin and adjust your routine to be gentler if needed.

It’s been nearly two months! I use it under my eyes! I’m still feeling irritation on my face and eyes. Is this normal?
Yes tretinoin can cause irritation for a long time. Have you tried mixing it in with your moisturizer? That has become my fav application method.
How did you deal with the purging? Did you get pustules (pus filled spots😷) ? Also did you see results straight away with the niacinamide? Thank you 💛
I sure did get pustules. My husband would always be like, “you should pop that, lol”. But I always just left them. They end up either hardening or popping on their own and really the healing process happens a lot faster when you just leave them. I would get some big ones where the whole area around the pustule would be swollen, too. My recommendation is to NOT TOUCH! Yes I literally noticed results with the Niacinamide after 1 week in terms of skin brightening. I love it.

@@ann-marie808 I would buy some pimple patches! A lot of brands sell them. I have some from Cosrx, which are hydrocolloid patches. Keeps pimples covered up as they’re healing and keeps me from picking at them haha. There are other patches that have salicylic acid in them to facilitate the healing process. I wear them overnight. I hope you can try them out because they really helped me keep my hands off my face ☺️

@@jennarubis1 I tend to look for sunscreens that are the best for anti aging so usually one with high UVA PF so if the brand doesnt state the number of UVA I pass on it.
-La roche posay Anthelios ultra cream spf 50+ (UVA PF 35) (fragarance free version) this one is quite wearable and feels like a moisturizer + no white cast.
-The highest one I could find right now in UVA protection is the P20 Sunscare Kids 50+ spf (it has a UVA PF of above 50)
No bad alcohols either which is good for a tretinoin user especially.
Its flaw tho is that its quite greasy (a lot of high UVA sunscreens are) so you have to set it with powder and maybe skip your moisturizer as its emollient enough that it can act as your occlusive. No white cast either.
Btw in europe it is mandatory that an spf of 50+ has at least a UVA PF of at least 20. So you can't go wrong with many!
While with asian sunscreens spf 50+ PA++++ means that the sunscreen has a UVA PF of at least 16 and you dont really know more than that.
Anyway thats why I stick to european sunscreens for anti aging purposes.

I follow a similar routine...I also use cereve lotion, but no matter how long I let the lotion absorb - my spf just seems to move everything around and makes my skin look flaky and gross. And advice? I just ordered dr. jart and super goop, but I'm afraid I'm doomed.
Do you exfoliate? Even if it’s just with a soft microfiber wash cloth...that helps tremendously

Should you just start using tret or start with a retinol serum and then adapalene?
Hey Shifa! You can do it either way. You may have slightly less irritation if you go in with a retinol serum, then adaptable me, but you can also just start with a low strength of tretinoin and gradually increase the number of nights you apply it. I personally started right with tretinoin :)

Hey Michelle! No eye cream. I have always thought it was a waste of money. But I have been so impressed with Asian (specially Korean) skincare lately that I may end up trying one from yesstyle :)
Eye cream is not necessary if you have a good moisturiser 🙂 if you look up Dr dray she tells you all about it she's a certified dermatologist x

@@magalymontesdeoca8652 Whatever serums (most of them) and whatever moisturizer you use, generally speaking, are just fine for your eye area. I'm a long-time aesthetician and never use eye creams, but everything I use, I use around my eyes.
