    I have not related question you guys might be able to help me with, given your field of work. Other then basic grafting techniques like sterilization of equipment, clean cuts and good contact. Is there a way to increase success rate between scion and rootstock, like a fungicide, Sucrose or hormone for the union to heal?

    Does the ppm y'all sell kill mycelium or help it keep from getting contaminated?

    • @PlantCellTechnology
      @PlantCellTechnology  Год назад +1

      We haven't tried this yet. Because the main purpose of PPM is to help plant culture thrive in a tissue culture environment by preventing fungal, bacterial, and viral contaminants from culture So, it might hurt mycelium when you trying to grow a fungal culture. This is something that @microdexmushrooms will be trying to experiment with very soon in the near future. So, stay tuned!

    And that's why you don't dye your plates ppl

      Actually, this is why we use more than one variable to confirm contamination, as described in the video. Color is one of many factors in determining this.

      @@mycrodexmushrooms so you add a color variable resembling contamination..?
      That defeats the purpose. You can be more certain with your diagnosis if the color of your agar doesn't end up looking like the color cue for contam.

      @a.key2success167 Let's remember this is an educational video. Someone who didn't know this beforehand will learn from this if they, for say, order colored plates online and use them. I actually learned this the hard way long ago, that's why it was key to show this.
      Expect to see a lot of things like this here. We're going to contaminate plates later on purpose, for example, to practice isolating and a lot of other familiar situations that someone unfamiliar with the science may run into. Exposure is the name of the game! ✌️
      Thank you for watching along with us. We appreciate your input, always.
